How to force "State always ignored" - Greenify

Hi,
I would like to know how to force "State always ignored for hibernation". There are a couple of apps that are still popping up and refuse to hibernate and I still haven't been able to figure out how to force showing the message about ignoring one app state. I haven't been able to do it since earlier versions. Guess it is something very simple but I have tried many things and still have no clue

Long press the app which should be hibernated while showing up in 'Pending Hibernation' list. You will get the option either in the three dot menu or on pulling up the green bar at the bottom depending on the setup.

Thanks but I don't get those options. When Iong press I only get the zzz option next to a - option. If I select with normal press I get the three dots on top bar but I don't get that one. I just can press "Put into hibernation now".
I am in version 3.3 since I had problems with last versions but I think it's been like this since older versions. I am using Orion 2.7 ROM (Android 6)

Greenify v3.3 does not support this feature; you need to upgrade.

The thing is that sometimes the option pops up (I have several apps hibernated with it). I just don't know how to force it myself.
Which version has it? Version 3.5 was giving me problems.
EDIT: Ok. I am back to version 3.6. I hope things go better this time.
Thanks both for your help.

Sorry to reopen this post again. But in one device that has Android 4.2.2 I just can install Greenify V. 3.0 build 5 (donation package). And I don't have the three dots options so I don't know how to force the options about ignoring state or cut the wake-up path to pop up...

Found it. I had to disable "Deep hibernation" from the experimental features. Now I can see the cut-off option again

[Q] LAG!!!

Hey guy, I am hoping someone can help me with this because it's starting to get really frustrating. My G3 is very laggy. When I am texting, it will freeze for a few moments and then catch up, sometimes missing some letters that I have typed so I have to redo it. It lags with playing games, or pressing the on-screen back button... there is a very noticeable lag.. is there any way to fix this at all?

There is no dial code for Sprint G3 as far as I know.
you have to use shortcut master in order to access the rest of the hidden menu settings such as Thermal dae

Under developer options you can select whether you want to use dalvik (ODEX) or ART (precompiled apps).
But: have you tried to remove new apps you had installed? Maybe they are causing your problem.

Settings/developer options; probably you don't have this menu item
Try to install osmonitor from market, and turn on "show cpu usage"
Just to check if nothing runs in the background.
Developer options menu is unlocked by doing the following...
Go to General tab (or section if you're not in tabbed mode)
Select 'About Phone'
Select 'Software information'
Tab 'Build number' (KVT49L.LS990ZV4) 7 times - you'll see a countdown pop-up after the first few taps
You have now unlocked Developer options menu under General tab (or section)
I ended up calling Sprint and had them reset the services and reactivate the phone. After this and updating PRL and Profile, it is running smooth as butter.

[Q] Pending apps in Greenify 2.5.2 with donation pack

I have recently bought the donation pack for greenify and I have several questions. First of all, I want to say that the app is really fulfilling all my expectations but as someone worried about my battery performance I still have some question, but first I'll say the conditions of my smartphone:
Samsung galaxy s5 with lollipop using greenify 2.5.2 donation pack (non rooted)
Questions:
1) I cannot see apps like chrome to be greenified and I want to have them like that as I see chrome takes up to several hours of internet connection even if I have just used it for some minutes. I wonder this is possible because I suppose this can be made as in other apps like battery killers, chrome can be killed, but I just haven't seen how.
2) Everytime I open greenify there are many "pending" apps that are not hibernated, even if I click in "zzz" button or in the button that says "hibernate and turn off the screen". The only way to deal with these pending apps is to select all of them and click on "zzz". I guess there should be a way to have them automatically hibernated.
3) There is an option in the menu that talks about an automatic manner to do this but I don't see how to activate it. I have it marked the greenify options for locking the screen but there are even more things to set that I don't see where and how. Maybe you can guide me in this better. In case I have this option chosen, pending apps will be automatically closed after some minutes, as it is said? if so, how many minutes?
Thanks in advance!

Have you set Greenify to "on" in SETTINGS>Accessibility?
If you want to manually hibernate, create the shortcut from within Greenify (use the three button icon on the top right). When you use the shortcut, the chosen apps will be hibernated and the screen will be locked afterwards.
In Autohibernate, the time taken for hibernation varies but all apps should be hibernated within 10 minutes max.
For hibernating system apps like Chrome, I think you need root permission.
Yes, the accesibility for Greenify is set to activated. However this options is never enabled within the "experimental settings" menu. It's always set to off. So I have never seen my phone awaking ten minutes after to turn off all pending apps. They remain opened. Any hint?.
Best regards!

When you click the "always off" Automatic Hibernation option in Experimental Features, what happened? It is supposed to be a accessibility setting dialog for you to enable the accessibility service from Greenify for the first time, then Device Admin dialog to enable the other service for the second time, and being checked at last for the third time.
Here I post the sequence I do in screenshots. Evrytime I click in that button it appears the same dialog. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong...but i dont get it working and I have to hibernate manually pending apps
Thanks for helping! ?

Yes! it was that!. I supposed it was enough by allowing greenify in the security menu. Thanks!
However, I wanted to have it working because I thought it was the only way to have pending apps hibernated because with the button "hibernate and lock" was not hibernating pending apps. After rebooting the phone (thing that I do seldom) it works as I expected. I guess this was the cause why greenify wasn't worked as I expected. Then, for me it is ok if I have that button since it does what I expected to.
Thanks to all!

Unable to auto-hibernate Facebook

Recently, I'm unable to auto-hibernate Facebook app. But if I manually long-press the Facebook row and then tap the Z button, the Facebook app can be hibernated. Anyone knows if it's Facebook problem or Greenify issue?

It is neither. Rather it is by design. Any app busy in the background (not merely running), will show up as "working". After it completes its work, the status will change to 'will be hibernated after screen off'. It will then be automatically hibernated once the screen is off.
This is to allow apps to complete their work before being hibernated.
If you don't want Facebook to even work, highlight it and then tap the three dot menu at the top and choose 'ignore the app's state'.
I am not responsible for any consequences.

I am on the same version. So it seems to have an issue with your setup.
After ignoring an app's state, when you highlight it again, you will get an option for reconsidering its state as in the screen shot below.

@itandy
Try what Black_Focus_X said earlier. When Facebook shows up as 'working', highlight it and then tap the 'zzz' at the bottom. You should get a pop-up window telling you that it is unsafe to hibernate an app in such conditions and also giving the option to ignore its state. Tick the option box, then OK.

I've now installed what I think is 2.8 beta 3 bit still can't get this to apppear, perhaps because I can't get Facebook to appear in the working state. It does however keep getting started by other apps. I shouldn't have to stop the services manually in developer settings. So how is this accomplished? The whole reason I have Greenify is to stop Facebook and other data stealing from running rampant when I'm not using them.

When it's awoken by another app, it will say "woken by ....." underneath the app name. If you tap on facebook in greenify main screen, then tap the scissors icon in top right of the page, a pop-up will explain then allow you to cut off the wake-up path. Play around with it and you'll find that cutting some wake-up paths is good and cutting others will stop notifications.
I currently have these paths cut-off for facebook:
...notify.MessengerForegroundProvider
...provider.PlatformProviderBase
What wake-up paths have other people cut?

Help with app taking over lockscreen???

Yesterday for the first time I got a strange new lock screen I don't remember installing.... When my phone (Nexus 6) is plugged in, and I wake it up, at first I get my regular stock lock screen. But, when I unlock it, this new strange lock screen appears in its place (the first image - which says at the top "0 Words typed today" and "1% beat global users.") When I tap the three-dot menu in the top right, I get the second screen (says "Boost Charge" and gives me option to uncheck.)
Does anyone recognize this? I guess it's possible it's malware of some kind but I am generally pretty careful. It seems like typing stats, but I only have google keyboard, swiftkey and touchpal installed, and none of those seem to be causing this as far as I can tell.
I would like to avoid a factory reset if I can help it, but I don't like the idea of something I didn't choose being on my phone..... Any help as to how this got here?
Same thing happened to me.
Found out it's SwiftKey. Wasn't even using it, so I just uninstalled it.

I've got the exact same thing. Annoying as hell. Don't have SwiftKey installed. Mine I believe is coming from TouchPal.
I got this to stop without uninstalling TouchPal. In TouchPal settings, go into General Settings and disable Daily Summary, which causes another annoying pop-up screen once a day. Then click on Power Boost and disable that. Exit, exit, exit.
I think the Power Boost, um, feature? is causing those random pop-ups.
Hope this helps somebody else. The keyboard itself is pretty good, so I'm sure some people won't want to uninstall it.

[ OPEN BETA Program ] [ ONLY for Chinese Find X variant ] colorOS 5.2

all of you on chinese variants of Find X, can now upgrade to new colorOS 5.2 simply by installing Beta App below , follow on screen steps and after that: go to normal upgrade method from Settins. You will have new OTA ready to download
Not applicable for Global and European variants CPH1871 / 75 .
LINK
After that you'll get a developer mode WITHOUT that annoying red banner in top notifications. You'll get notifications (lockscreen, notification shade), but NO Icons in Top. Fastboot unlock is still not possible. There is a higher Battery drain.
Btw: looks like, you CAN'T downgrade to official firmware yourself. So please TAKE CARE.

Think I may sell this phone and move on.

Wish I got that
Is it correct that this information can not be returned to the official firmware?
After messing around for some time. I get notifications from most app when the screen is on.
But when the lock screen(blank black) starts, I get no notifications what so ever. Just sounds.
Anyway to fix this?
What's new in colorOS 5.2?
I get no notification issues and I use this china variant on color os5.1, for notifications ( FOR ALL apps, allow ALL PERMISSIONS, go to power management app and disable ALL power saving features for said apps as well as allowing all permissions from "power management" and this works for me even with screen off i get my notifications with the edge notification light
Most of my apps are now working as should(smartthings won't give notifications).
I went on to the beta and then I reset everything, and all has been great.

Yes it is. I've tried to make downgrade and doesn't work. The recovery says that the version that I've installed is newer than the latest official and abort the flash process. Fortunately the beta works pretty good but keep it in mind.
As supposed...latest ColorOS 5.2 arrived, and sadly nothing interesting

Rolled the dice and found out that:
- It does not remove the need for locking or increase the 5 app limit
- It also does not allow more than 5 apps to auto startup
Interesting development though: after doing the beta firmware update, I can no longer get into Phone Manager (and thus cannot easily get into auto startup apps)
After tapping on "Phone Manager", I get a screen overlay message that says "Permission Denied".
Can confirm that it does remove the dev orange bar. It will not remove the orange bar that is present from using Accessibility Settings.
EDIT: Updates as I poke around below
------
- After update: Shut down and Start up now retain my accessibility settings (previously even answering the phone would reset them). I use accessibility to add navigation options to the side of the device.
- I deleted com.coloros.safecenter, and now I have no "Auto Startup" options in individual app info. I'm unsure if this is just a new development in the beta or not though. I also still cannot get into the app Phone Manager (where auto startup is usually collected)
- I now also have some sort of flyout thing on the right side containing "Quick Access" apps. I never had this before. This is controlled from: Settings > Smart & Convenient > Smart Sidebar
- A new app inside of Accessibility permissions showed up called "Baidu IME for OPPO", but I'm pretty sure this was stock and I had just removed it right when I got the phone
- I'm also able to swipe notifications to the right to dismiss!

Still have it unfortunately And yes, I'm using accessibility. Beta DOES get rid of the yellow bar if you only have Developer Mode enabled.
I've gone through one entire reinstall because I removed some pretty necessary stuff without pulling the APK's first. Now I'm an expert at backups of both individual APK's and the entire system through ADB hahaha.
I'm working on a guide to "westernize" or "un-colorOS"ing this phone and will be aggressively deleting apks to try and get rid of the yellow bar.
I did find that they have
Code:
com.android.systemui.PLUGINS
and that gets spawned from a ColorOS apk but I can't seem to remove the plugin. I have a hunch that's where it lives, since the orange bar groups everything under the "System UI" grouping.
Will keep you all updated!
EDIT: Oh! I was also able to create a +1 phone number account through oppo id services and use that to restore back to stock Beta after I screwed up the phone without backing anything up this first time. So I wouldn't be too scared of doing this upgrade. You can at least restore back to beta.
