Use Odin 13.12.3
Put the files in respective box in odin. BL, AP, CP, CSC.
Use the "HOME_CSC_OXA_A320FLOXA1BQH7_CL11969634_QB14812573_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5" as csc part in odin to keep your userdata during update.
Work for sfr ? Thank u
Thanks!
Everthing works well on this rom, even NFC!
But cant get rid of the annoying Service provider T roaming in the system menu even with BL, CP and CSC files from my original provider(this worked on the Russian nougat firmware?!).
So the Galaxy A3 SM-A320FL PHN users still have to wait, like many countries :silly:
@tyson and everybody:if i upgrade to nougat can downgrade to marshmallow with Odin or a TWRP back up?
which one should i flash in my A320 FL?(Poland firmware XEO)?
-still no auto rotation for home screen, lock screen and always on display
-still hidden adoptable storage option (extend internal memory) for micro SD card
Please tell me, do these roms have the Russian things in the settings? Or are they completely clean like they should be? Please tell me they are...

My A3, bought in NL (Belsimpel.nl) has DBT software. I don't know if that has consequences?
Just to clear things up. If you have any of these (BTU, CPW, DBT, ITV, XEF, XEO, XEU) csc now, you will have the same csc after flash as well.
If you're on another csc now and flash this, you'll get ITV as csc, since that's the default csc for multi OXA. You can still change to any of the other included csc's if you have root, but it also requires a factory reset to change it.
Certain csc's have different apps and features even if they are in the same firmware. That's how samsung customize their firmware for different countries/regions.
DBT most likely have some german app installed from the csc folder, while other csc's don't. Some csc's have settings for VoLTE, and others don't.
Another csc can have bike mode, which is not available for another country etc.

As far as i can tell you have to wait for the official DBT (Germany) to have an smooth working phone (and no tripped Knox fuse!).
Only if you want to experiment the PHN is the unbranded Netherlands version. *warning you will trip Knox!*
Just Checked here: https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-a3/SM-A320FL/
Works on my Galaxy A3 2017 (SM-320FL) from Germany very well. No problem to flash with Odin. I used the normal CSC, not the Home_CSC because I'm a friend of starting from scratch with a new OS. I also rooted it without any issues and installed Magisk and Xposed. Now even the Nand Backup works in TWRP.:good:
Thank you!
Hello, I have updated my phone (A320FL, French, Orange) with a Spanish firmware. And it worked perfectly. It didn't trip knox, everything works, no problem. All I did was select repartion in Odin. That's all you need. As long as you have the same model number, you won't have any problem at all.
Thanks for the firmware. I still have to wait for DBT so I flashed this on my 320FL since OXA works with DBT.
I just saw there is a new version for ITV with OXA available (BQI4).
One thing I noticed is that when you turn on the device it does not vibrate anymore (on MM it did). Is that normal?
@tys0n actually it is A320FXXU1 and not A320FXXU2 (I'm referring to the post in the other thread).
Any body else have lag with the patern unlock screen ?
YEEES but is a security feature that will prevent rapid succesive multiple pattern unlock attempts.
Try ultra power saving mode and see what happens... you might be unable to unlock your device if you use a dot pattern as backup unlock solution.
So it might be a bug also, something Samsung forgot about to properly integrate.

Well I also have 320fl, but unbranded DBT (Germany) and it worked. BUT I don't think it will work on a branded version, because of the wrong CSC (OXA supports DBT). But I'm not sure, sorry.
But you may not have to wait long for your official version, just look at updato or similar sites.

Cool thing.
Well root it like you did on MM, I see no difference.
Xposed is an issue with Nougat, I didn't use it and can't help there.
And the patches, well I thought root means no updates, but I could be wrong.
Have fun.

Sorry for the long wait. So here is the tutorial. I'm not responsible for any damage. My phone was not branded.
Make sure you read the whole tutorial before doing anything. Make a backup of your data. It's very possible that you need to make a factory reset! Also have a look at the additional information in the separated threads! Knox will be tripped after that, so you can't use it any more. And no more Warranty!
1. Download the following stuff:
Android 7 A320FLXXU1BQH7_A320FLOXA1BQH7_A320FLXXU1BQG6.zip thx to tys0n
Odin 3.12.5
twrp_3.1.1-1_sm-a320f_11917 thx to ashyx
Boot image patch no-verity-no-encrypt_ashyx thx to ashyx
[UNOFFICIAL] Material Design Xposed Installer [09/09/17] thx to DVDandroid
Magisk thx to topjohnwu
2. Flash Android 7 via Odin. There are enough tutorials on how to do that.
3. Flash TWRP via Odin; Thread with additional informations
Instructions summary:
Flash with ODIN 3.10.7 in the AP slot.
Put your device in DOWNLOAD mode.
Uncheck Auto reboot.
Load the respective file below into the AP slot and hit start.
After flashing and ODIN reports PASS immediately reboot to recovery by holding POWER + HOME + VOL DOWN.
As soon as the screen goes blank change to VOL UP whilst still holding POWER + HOME.
You should now see TWRP recovery.
Click to collapse
4. Now install via TWRP the Boot image patch no-verity-no-encrypt_ashyx. To do that, just copy the zip file to your SD card. Go to TWRP and install it with the Install option within TWRP. Reboot to System.
5. Copy the XposedInstaller_by_dvdandroid_09_09_17.apk file to your SD card and install the APK. Make sure you have third party sources enabled. Reboot to TWRP.
6. Copy the Magisk-v14.0.zip file to your SD card and install it via TWRP. Reboot to System.
7. Open the Magisk Manager and enable root access via SuperUser within the Manager.
8. Open the Magisk Manager and search for Xposed Framework SDK 24. You need the SDK 24 or else it won't work. Install Xposed.
9. Now you should have root access, Magisk and Xposed up and running.

I had the same problem and it drove me crazy. It appeared every time after I rooted my phone with the "old flash the SuperUser.zip via TWRP" method.
After I rooted my phone via Magisk (Tutorial above), there is no more annoying lag. :good:
Thanks @simple_s
BUT be careful with Xposed!!!
Especially on Samsung stock ROM.
You need permissive kernel!
When used as a Magisk module and you wipe the caches the device will not boot anymore (that's what I read).
Please people read read read and read about Xposed before using it on Samsung Nougat!!!
And make backups.

You have to go to download mode and then use Odin to flash. Unfortunately this does not root the T285.

Hi,
Anyone tried Pokemon Go update 0.37 with this ROM? The update fails to start for me. It prompts device/os version is incompatible.
I reverted back to version 0.35 and it works fine.

Yeah the newest version checks for xposed and a bunch of other things. Actually a lot of people were pissed that they did this. You'd probably need to revert back to stock if you want to play. Only systemless root and xposed with magisk works for Pokemon go now.

Hello and thank you for your work with this device. Currently I am looking for a bypass for the factory reset protection on my sm t280. I have flashed the stock md5 file 3+ times attempting to do a complete data wipe and reset, and this doesnt remove the lock. Any ideas?

To FRP unlock you have to go to developer settings and switch oem unlock to false. The stock rom should have it unless you are using a carrier locked version that I a! not aware of.

FRP is specifically designed to prevent flashing if you can't login to the device. You won't be able to flash unless the person has turned off oem unlock beforehand. I am not aware of any method to bypass this on this device.
Also the T280 and T285 have slightly different hardware so using a different recovery image is not recommended. Also since both devices have a locked bootloader, I highly doubt you can even change the recoveries from stock as I would imagine samsung using different keys for both. At the worst case it still always possible to reflash them back to stock if you do want to try

And thank you so much for selling it. I don't speak enough Spanish to make the ordeal of getting one of the T285M's from so america worthwhile. I was planning on sticking with my T239M for awhile, then I saw your T285M on ebay.
I've dirty flashed jedld's T285 debloated rom, then dirty flashed his T285 tinker rom on top of that. Both onto my T285M. Working flawlessly. Wished he'd kept the mail app, but without touchwiz I guess that wasn't possible.
Something else they blocked in the kernel or with SElinux on the T285M is screen mirroring. Can only cast directly from apps.
Still I am happy overall. Now looking for a castrated version of daemonsu!

Is this ROM compatible with Google Safetynet? I can't seem to log into Pokemon GO since I installed Tinker edition, so I'm thinking to switch to this one instead.
Haven't tried it but it should work.
Is the root part contained in boot.img or in system.img? In other words, when using Heimdall I should flash both system.img and boot.img, isn't it?
I'm getting bootloops with CM13, Omni and I don't know how I got Tinker working, I kind of remember flashing boot.img, then wiping, then flashing system.img, then wiping again.
EDIT: got this one working too by flashing boot.img (Heimdall complains it cannot receive confirmation msg) reboot into download again, then flashing system.img (this time heimdall does reboot the phone). however, pokemon go still wont connect due to google's safetynet compliance.
I'll try flashing recovery in case it is TWRP the one clashing with Safetynet.
PD: I didn't backup stock at the beggining of the process so I'm pretty much screwed with Pokemon until I can afford a new phone. But if someone has a stock ROM for T285MUBU0API2, please ping me.
EDIT2 Got pokemon working. I reinstalled TWRP (this ROM's recovery is the stock one, of course), then flashed unSU. It removed SuperSU binary and Google SafeNet got working again. I can't believe that, after so much hours I've put into finding the best custom ROM for this crappy phone, 95% of the time was spent in trying to get Pokemon GO running. I'm close to 40, FML.
This is for the Sprint SM-T587P "gtaxlqltespr" Galaxy Tab A 10.1 variant only.
As far as I can tell, the Nougat update came out for the Sprint Variant sometime around the 20th of September 2017. Update to the T587PVPU1BQI1 Nougat update if you have not already.
1. Read all instructions, there are no known issues. Be on 7.0.0 official. (QI1)
2 Enable Developer Options. Settings, About Device, Software info, tap on build number until it is enabled.
3. Enable OEM unlock and USB Debugging in the Developer Options menu.
There are a couple options here. You can do any combination of the following:
install TWRP
root via superuser (requires installing TWRP)
disable dm-verity (requires installing TWRP)
root by flashing magisk patched bootimage (does not require TWRP)
disable force-encryption (requires installing twrp)(required if you want TWRP to see /data/ files)(not required for flashing zips such as superuser through TWRP)
To install TWRP:
1. Boot into download mode
2. Launch ODIN, Uncheck "Auto Reboot" in the options tab. Flash included TWRP file in the AP section of ODIN.
To Disable Force-Encryption (if want to see /data/ in twrp)
1. Install TWRP recovery
2 Boot into TWRP recovery
3. Format Data
4. Reboot into TWRP from TWRP reboot menu, without rebooting into system.
5. Flash the included superuser.zip to disable force-encryption and dm-verity
To Root via superuser or disable dm-verity
1. Install TWRP recovery.
2. Boot into TWRP recovery
3. flash superuser.zip (this needs to be done with ADB if you have not disabled force-encryption and are unable to see /data/)
Superuser root provided as-is. Magisk is the recommended root. If you prefer the outdated, beta, un-updatable phh superuser binary which breaks safetynet that's all you. However it is the only way i have found to disable dm-verity.
Magisk v16 root:
Device is stock
If you have not installed twrp, disabled dm-verity, or disabled force encryption:
1. Boot into Download Mode
2. Use the AP section of ODIN to install "fe-dm-patched_boot.img.tar"
Disabled dm-verity, but NOT force-encryption
If you did not format DATA in TWRP and have installed superuser.zip using ADB:
1. Boot into Download Mode
2. Use the AP section of ODIN to install "fe-patched_boot.img.tar"
Disabled Both
If you disabled dm-verity AND disabled force-encryption:
1. Boot into Download Mode
2. Use the AP section of ODIN to install "Magiskv16_patched_boot.img.tar"
WIFI IS NOW WORKING AFTER ROOT/BOOT PATCH

Any updates on WiFi fix?
Flash the latest Supersu beta V2.82 sr4. That should give root and no issues with wifi.
Also note to the author. You should post the device this post refers to as there are several Tab A devices.

I just want to flash it back to stock firmware and recovery until someone can come up with a proper root and all where everything works as it should....any help for this , I would be grateful.. I didnt realize the firmware was behind a paywall, the correct link has been posted.
This is a proper root via the magisk patched boot. There is no reason to flash the recovery at all.

Anyone who doesnt read the first post closely enough to locate locate the stock firmware being made to pay for it seems like a form of natural selection. Edit: or that would be the case were this the case, however, i posted the wrong link in the OP ( i had visited a lot to find the firmware, i misremembered which one was correct.)

Flash the latest Supersu beta V2.82 sr4. That should give root and no issues with wifi.
Also note to the author. You should post the device this post refers to as there are several Tab A devices.

Is the device not clerarly labeled in the thread title as the sprint only sm-t587p gtaxlqltespr?
Should work or does? You're right, there are many tab a variants, and unlike the ones you develop for, this variant is a snapdragon 625. While you say su 2.82 should work, you would also think 2.72 would work. Bootloop. I included a working su to flash standalone that DOES work in my op for people who do not care about systemless magisk, which is the recommended root at any rate.

This as well is not a free deal. It would help out a ton if you just link these files to your account via Google drive, mediafire, ect....
EDIT!!!!
I didn't scroll all the way down... ignore me

Did you edit it? If not must be going blind.
Any custom kernels made for this model?
Or anyone found source code for this model?
EDIT!!
I really wish my xda-labs would alert me when the op edits the thread. I also found that source code, I have been trying to compile the kernel as well. very new on this end of development. I give it a whirl

Haha, I didn't realize you had to subscribe to your own threads, I didn't know people were even replying in here for weeks. Thank you for attempting to compile, i know there are some tutorials on xda, i'm pretty sure an flashing an SELinux permissive kernel will fix the wifi issue with the magisk root. I do not know that I'll ever have the time or motivation to compile it myself, but I can help to test.
Thanks arlyn! Will definitely be trying this out.
Says root is not properly installled.... any ideas? I followed directions to a T... even flashed back to stock nougat and tried a 2nd time...
So, I've been "out of the scene" for 2 years +some months and I can't find clear answers to how I should do to get what I need. I need your help...
What I want to obtain: I want to have my LG G5 (H850) updated to the last firmware version (it should have andrioid 7, right?), rooted, and with Magisk installed. Xposed too, if it's possible in android 7. It is, right?
What I have right now: a rooted phone at FW version V10d-EUR-XX with Xposed installed (bootloader unlocked with the official method), android 6.0.1.
I don't know where to start from, since I can't find specific guides that tell me what to do, I have to ask here...
For example, do I have to reset the phone and install everything from scratch? Should I un-root the phone and install the firmware updates in the official way, or can I do it with some tool without un-rooting? Can I keep my installed apps & data? I don't know...
Thanks for any help... sorry if I'm demanding a lot, but I've always found it pretty hard to find definitive guides (or just definitive answers) in the android scene.
Well the first part is easy, use lg bridge to get the latest firmware..I'm doing it as I type..then I need to install adb and fastboot to install twrp and magical..
Latest firmware is 20x
Thanks for the reply.
So, if I already have TWRP, I can update the firmware with lg bridge and then I can simply install magisk? I thought I had read that if my phone is already rooted magisk can't hide the root, or something.
The firmware flash will take the phone back to stock..root gone..twrp gone..so install twrp through CMD window is needed..just make sure you have the magisk files on a SD card
Back to stock means, completely? All my apps and data gone? If yes, is there some tool to restore them easily after the firmware update?
And when I install magisk, if I need root do I simply have to install magisk's "root module"?
LG bridge shouldn't delete user data..I thought it did..but after doing it, it didn't..it just upgrades the firmware
Thanks. What about Xposed? Will it remain or will I have to install it again? And, since it requires root, does it mean that I have to enable root with magisk to use the Xposed modules otherwise they don't work? Like, that when I disable root they stop working?
Never used closed so I don't know..if lg bridge leaves user data alone it may leave root alone but then again it may flash stock boot image..so not sure really..
I don't mind reinstall lots of apps again as long as my pics are backed up.so I would reset phone...flash firmware..then twrp..then magisk..
Ok then, but I don't know which firmware I have to use.
For example, the latest in the list (here, ordered by date, descending) is "H85020t_00_TMO_COM_OP_0514.kdz" but it says "TPL - Europe - PL/Poland". My phone isn't from Poland, it's from Italy, and there's no firmware with that same date for Italy. Should I just use the newest one saying "Italy"? I dunno...
I also saw that, for the same country, there can be different updates for different providers, but I'm pretty sure my phone had none (it was "unbranded"). So which one should I choose?
LG bridge will automatically download the latest one for you..use error recovery
Oh, that's great.

There's update zips available in the development section. You just flash the COMPLETE version of one of those in TWRP and you're done.

Is it any better than using LG Bridge?
And would I need to make a Nandroid backup just in case, if I wanted to flash those zips, or is it safe? 'Cause I'm having trouble with that, as I wrote in the other thread...
Thanks
Ok I'm done, I updated the firmware with LG Bridge and installed Magisk & Xposed (through Magisk). Xposed isn't activating itself but that's another problem.

What
Yeah I know, but at least now I know how to do the whole procedure almost painlessly.
I have a Samsung S9+ AT&T version bought locked from AT&T in the US. It is still stuck on Android 8.0.0 and not receiving any updates. None OTA and none by connected to Samsung app on Windows Desktop either.
* I would like to update to 9.0.0 or 10.0.0 if possible
* Current SW ver: SAOMC_SM_G965U_OYN_ATT_OO_78
* AP: G965USQS3BRK2
* CSC: G965UOYN3BRK2
I have tried removing the sim card but still said that software is up to date.. I have not tried to ever root the device or unlock it. Seems perhaps that the IMEI is bad perhaps in some Samsung/AT&T server that prevents the server from giving me updates (based on reading around the Internet).
Any hope for me? I am not good at these things but am willing to learn and try though there is way too much information so not sure where to start reading and understanding the root cause of the problem itself.
Its a easy fix you will need to download the update file then flash it using Odin Patched
Here's a video that will help out. https://youtu.be/SVhR0E9ACnY
I used it the other days when i flashed my S9+ Sprint running on Andriod 9.0 -------> To a S9+ Tmobile Andriod 10
I dont take credit on this but here is also a good write up
1) Download Odin
2) Extract the firmware file you just downloaded. You should get 5 files:
AP (System & Recovery)
BL (Bootloader)
CP (Modem / Radio)
CSC_OXM (OXM CSC file, will wipe your phone)
HOME_CSC_OXM (OXM CSC file, will NOT wipe your phone)
3) Add each file to it's respective field in Odin v3.13.1. Use CSC_OXM if you want to do a clean flash and HOME_CSC OXM if you want to keep your apps and data.
4) Reboot your phone in Download / Odin mode with the following button combo:
POWER + VOLUME DOWN + BIXBY
5) Once in download mode, connect your phone to the PC, preferably using the original USB cable you got with your phone. Odin should detect your device and a blue box will show up with the COM port number.
6) Do NOT tick any extra boxes. The only options to be ticked are F.Reset Time and Auto-Reboot.
7) Click the start button, wait for Odin to say 'PASS'. Once the flash is complete, your phone will reboot.
Firmware screenshots, changelog, and download links will be in 2nd post of this thread.

I used the firmware from sammobile as I couldn't figure out where to get the binary for AT&T S9+. Even there they had for BST, Verizon, Comcast, Sprint. I tried the one called USC and it seems to work. I got the one labeled G965USQS7CSK5. I am now on 9.0.0 and so far looking good. Just finished. Thanks.

Thanks, I decided to stick with 9.0 for now as my company doesn't allow 10.0 for their own apps. I managed to download something from sammobile and it is working out fine. Thanks a lot for your help!!
Dear All , this method maybe already here somewhere ,
i have tried to root this specific device and i ran into many issues !
but successfully i have done it .
i'll upload the patched file here and i'll mention what method i have done ! ..
unlock boot loader is a must . ( Please read about it in google , All Samsung devices is the same method )
u might repeat the process to times until it successfully unlocked and greyed-out !
Next download this firmware only to be able to run the patched AP .
un-tick Auto-reboot before flashing .
once flash done , power + Volume down to restart , then volume up with power until u boot into the recovery
wipe data . restart . done
to make sure u have done every thing correctly u'll see RED massage once u boot you're device
Firmware ( This is UAE Firmware " T725XXS1ATC5_T725OJM1ASJ3_XSG " ) All Languages included . Link
Patched AP File Link
Please Note that i'm not responsible if u break your Tablet ! .

Hi
Do I just need to use odin to flash the Firmware you mentioned then use ODIN again to flash the patched ap
I can just add that with this specific fw version and patched ap everything worked on LTE version but I might add my little deviations ...
1st original firmware flash (BL,AP,CP,CSC-non-home one) instantly followed by wipe data in recovery mode.
2nd After the initial setup + wifi connection I installed and updated magisk.
3rd "adb restart bootloader" (here i am not sure if it mattered but anyway) and flush again with the provided Patched AP File (BL,the_patched_AP,CSC - the home one this time ... using CP failed with modem err with me so I just skipped it here)
4th get trough the init setup again with wifi on and open magisk which will install more stuff.
The prerequisites still apply oem unlocked bootloader before you start and keep your battery at least 60-70% since the process drained mine a lot.
You know you are on the right track when you have warning with tablet bootloader is unlocked (at startup yellow) and tablet not running Samsung's official software (red after the first one)
Ive just bought this SM-T725 model android 11. There is no sign of OEM Unlock Bootloader under development. Does anyone know how I can unlock this.

Thanks for reply mate, I got it figured. I also manage to get root and twrp recovery but not both at the same time. After flashing and using twrp recovery I then lose root after reboot and have to flash a patched magisk bundle over odin again. Bit inconvenient but I only intend using twrp now and then for backup/recovery.
Can you recommend a stable rom for this device - far too much google bloat on it for my liking. I tried latest lineage but found it unstable.

Just install LineageOS. Clean, no Bloat, everything smooth and you can have TWRP and Root/Magisk at the same time.
Depending on how much Google you want to have on your device, you might rather choose LOS+MG ( https://lineage.microg.org/) I can highly recommend it. You get rid of Google which debloats it even more and is a plus for your privacy but almost everything works (at leat for me. But migh depend on your needs)
If you like Google, just use normal LineageOS (https://lineageos.org) + GAPPS
Thanks for reply. Will try the LOS ROM later. Wish Google crap would disappear totally. I hate it enormously.
By the way which folder am I looking for on that LOS ROM download page
Ah gts4lv I presume

Recently switched to using MicroG Lineage. Timely enough, MicroG passes the SafetyNet now as per the instructions mentioned below and indicated in the attached screenshot. For the fingerprint, I had selected the T720 from the list.
https://www.reddit.com/r/MicroG/comments/shmpng
Along with Aurora store installed as a service, I think you don't need Google anymore.

I'm having some problem here:
I can install LineageOS, I can root/Magisk, I can have TWRP, but not all together at once.
Can you help me on how to do this?
Working on a SM-T725 of course, actually rooted, lineage and TWRP installed, but my Magisk can't install modules, it seems it doens't have root privileges.
Thanks in advance for your answer
anybody have an updated one, the file has been archived on the said link... thanks in advance
