Hello, i'm new user on this forums. I have very big problem with my device.
I got second model of Redmi 4, first one had malfunction of SIM module (after instaling CM 13), and device wasnt detecting SIM's at all (what more interesting SD cards was detected) on both slots. After service i got brand new Redmi 4, installed CyanogenMod 13 as only properly working OS* and starting to have the same issue.
*So now let me explain why i threat CM 13 as only working OS - it uses battery as it should. On every MIUI (which seems to not be official) including MIUI 9 my battery just drain. For example with 1-2 hours of daily usage on CM my battery can keep 7-14 days, which is perfect resoult, while on MIUI even unused device is keeping max 4 days, and battery usage says Android OS and android (process names) eat 40 % of battery (sometimes up to 56%). I'm installing OS by full wipe, so its not the case of files remaining from older OS.
NOW final question to all specialists here - from where can i get CELAN ANDROID MARSHMALOW or NOUGAT for my model (Redmi 4 prada)? Installation as i understand properly is the same as in case of ROM right (TWRP) or maybe flash?
Please answear, i'm looking over internet 2 months right now, and spending all my free time after job on unsuccessfull searching for help.

So I have two sisters who own Xiaomi Note 5Pro and Note3. ( These phones were never rooted or updated )
A few days ago I kept a copy of my important data in both the phones as that data was very dear to me.One morning my sister with Note5Pro saw that her phone was displaying MIUI 9 page.
When I entered in to her phone I noticed that every thing was wiped off as if the phone was brand new with no trace of any data.
I was consoling myself that a copy of data is there in Note3 and when I fetched Note3 from my other sis a few days later, the phone restarted and again this phone too showed me the same MIUI9 page and again data in internal SD was missing. Since then I have kept her Note3 switched off as that data was very important to me.
On Note5Pro (which is being continuosly used) I have tried various android data recovery softwares, some of which are asking for rooting. I have a concern that rooting would wipe off any recoverable data.
The current MIUI version being shown in Note5Pro is MIUI Global 9.6 stable 9.6.3.0
Kindly suggest a way to recover my data.I desperately trying for a way since last one month.
Please help!!!
Is there no one who can help me???
Since i have updates to android 10, i have been facing battery issue, the battery became so bad and it doesnt stay too long as before, i trying resetting the device, wipping, even getting back to android 9, but it keep getting notifications to update to 10 and i cancel, until i waked up a day and i found it has been updated even i disabled it, so i need to install a custom rom like android 9 without forcing me to upgrade to 10

Do you have the latest version, ending with C.03 ?
Hi everybody,
hope, this is the correct board for my problem.
I once got DualBootPatcher working on my Redmi Note 2 Prime so that I had MIUI as Primary ROM and different Custom ROMs as Seccondary in Data slot. Unfortunately I cannot find the relevant threads anymore neither here nor within Web (still struggling with the XDA search capabilities).
Does anyone have Dualboot working on his/her Redmi Note 2? Whenever I patch a ROM for data slot (even when I patch my Primary ROM and try to install it as secondary too) I get error messages.
For Android 9 custom ROMs they say either: "This package is for device: hermes; this device is ." and if I remove the assert-check from the update-skript I get: E1001: Failed to update system image.error: 1001 with several additional error messages. Log is attached.
Is there any way to get dual booting working again, either with DualbootPatcher or using another way?
If not what would be a recommended stable custom ROM newer than the latest MIUI for RM Note 2 (which is 5.0.x)? Since lots of apps need a newer OS version and I am not yet willing to always buy a new phone every year to be able to use relevant apps. In addition my phone very often just switches of when I receive a call. Already got a new battery but the problem still exists.
Any help really appreciated!
Thank you in advance!

hi
my friend own redmi note 9 pro
and have 'known' issue of random phone reboots during calls - like at least once a week during call his phone reboots itself
it was send to 'warranty' repair 3 times ! but they did not fixed anything.
so my question is
IS THERE ANY CHANCE THAT CUSTOM OS WILL SOLVE THIS ISSUE? lineageos for example?
or does anyone had this kind of issue with his one and custom os was the solution ?
thanks and regards !
It happened to me that my RN9P joyeuse restarted several times during a phone call or just while using it. The problem was fixed for me during the update (I think miui 12.5). It was probably a software bug when the phone tried to switch between LTE and another network which caused a restart. I am currently using the ForkLineageOS custom rom on android 12 and there are no reboot issues, previously i used lineageOS and pixel experience on android 11 and there were no problems either.

Can you review lineageOS for me?, is it good?, stable, and how to install it
not on rn9pro but on my redmi 9 everytime I try to call "*143#" my phone just magically reboots, and also the reboot persists too when I try to maxxed out the volume.
