Hi everyone,
I'm not a fan of the Samsung keyboard but I wish to retain the Direct Pen Input functionality. I've seen that you can change keyboards and still hover over a text input field with the S-Pen and a blue T icon pops up for handwriting mode. However, this doesn't seem to work in all text fields - for example the message body text area in GMail or Google Inbox.
Is there any way to fix this? Is there an alternative keyboard I can use that allows me to activate Direct Pen Input mode? Ideally, I'd be able to use Swiftkey or GBoard and then trigger somehow hand writing mode when so desired.
Thanks!

Hi guys,
do any of you know how to disable text underlining while typing anything? (For example writing an SMS). Before 2.1 a used that built-in SE keyboard, which did this as well, but I managed to disable it by disabling word auto-completion (or whatever it's called), but now on 2.1 I'm not able to get rid of it. I don't use that new SE keyboard, I use Smart Keyboard Pro instead, but it seems that it doesn't matter which keyboard I'm currenty using as they all (Androids native, SE, Smart KB Pro) underline the word I'm just typing.
I have tried to google it...without any luck.
Thanks for your answers
Letters Underline while Typing
I too would like to disable whatever setting causes the letters to be underlined while typing words. I have a droid-pro. I have unchecked settings as follows: show suggestions, auto-correct errors, auto-puncturate, auto-capitalization, show suggestions, auto-correct errors, highlight words for the touch keyboard. And I have unchecked settings as follows: auto-replace, auto-cap, auto-punctuate for the device keyboard.
Yet as I type the letters are underlined until a word is formed and the space bar pressed.
Please help! Thanks,
Can anyone help me to find a keyboard which supports both full line selection when highlighting and also uses Google voice recogniser? Let me explain:
I'm on a Galaxy Note. My preferred keyboard is "Swype" because it's the only keyboard I've ever been able to find on which, when highlighting/selecting text, it's possible to select full lines (up and down arrows) as well as character by character (left and right arrows).
However, because Swype is the native keyboard on the Note, it defaults to Samsung's Vlingo voice recogniser and won't let me choose and use Google's.
Thus what I'm looking for is a an alternative keyboard which supports selecting text by line, not just character (which I've so far never managed to find), and also uses Google voice recogniser.
Can anyone help at all?
Thanks.
As you can see in this video, someone types a sms and sees what he's typing in the textbox obove the flesky input.
youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=rxW7021o-Ac
But on my Omate, this textbox is overlapped with the flesky input, so i can't see what i'm typing. In comparison to the video, the upper address/contact box takes more space on my device.
Hiding the spacebar doesn't help either.
Any idea how to solve this issue?
That's known problem...
I saw one picture on G+ where's keyboard in only one row...
Don't know what's the name of that keyboard but try to check on market, maybe you find something.
BTW...for setting TS and all accounts you can use BT keyboard (bluetooth) but, of course, that could be useful only for that - I really doubt you'll take your bt keyboard with you all the time

Try installing Flit keyboard
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.locnet.flitkeyboard
Configure it to then have the first keyboard as being small alpha only, then set the second keyboard to be numeric etc....
Should give you some more screen space
I changed the system language to english, so the upper address field uses less space. So I can see the text input box.
It's just a workaround, but I can live with it.
In all other apps I use, the flesky input works fine and no input field is overlapped.
But maybe it would be a good solution if you can select a semi-transparent keyboard. In the flesky option you can select an invisible keyboard, but thats not useful for me.
Hi All,
I am looking for a application like "SwipeSelect" for IOS
This Tool adds a guesture over the keyboard "not swipe typing like swift keyboard"
It allowed you would set the cursor to any position on your typing.
That's much easier to fix typos, no more put your finger to the typo to fix it, just swipe to the left to set the possition.
Do anyone know a tool like this for android ?
I knows there is one ugly keyboard that supports this, but I hate this "Tyype" keyboard

I use SwiftKey a lot and I like it
I found that a keyboard clipkey is a keyboard I would like to use sometimes when I do certain things where sending pre defined phrases to send.
Im looking for a way to quickly change between ClipKey and SwiftKey
Anyone has suggestions how to do it?
Might be a easy way to change keyboard on SwiftKey that I missed, in that case please tell me ??

Every android keyboard that you install and setup in the global input setting menu(input/language mostly) is active and you just need to use the keyboard switch on the top left of your status bar or if you have a nav bar where virtual keys appear you can set the keyboard switch button there.
That's it.
