Hi.
I do not know if this is the right place to ask.
I have got an Anycast m2 iii Plus (brand nsendato) tv stick.
It is like a chromecast, with i.e. mirascreen and dlna support.
I am subscribed to a movie supplier. But streaming content from their app to the anycast will not work. They say they only support Chromecast.
Is there a way to make the anycast mimic chromecast, i.e. with rooting the dang thing? Perhaps it just needs a chromecast signature?
I am hoping someone on xda has experience or can point me in the right direction.
Wondering the same

Sorry for the late reply, summer holiday.
I can't help you anyway. I found the anycast irritating and sold it to buy a chromecast 2.
Good luck anyway.

i just got the tab through bestbuy because it came with my new 3d smart tv. Bestbuy says "Your Samsung smart TV and the Galaxy Tab 10.1 can connect with each other for the ultimate home theater experience. Easily control your TV with your Galaxy Tab and view your Tab content (photos, videos, content from the "Cloud," etc.) on your larger HDTV screen.". Does anyone know how? lol. maybe a stupid question but i cant find it anywhere
I have a Samsung tv, serie 6 so they should be able to cooperate. I made a connection through USB cable but when I wanted to see pictures onthe tv from my tab, the tv wouldn't accept the tab. So I'm also curious ;-)
I imagine that this should be done with Samsung's 'Allshare' software, however it's not currently supplied with the Touchwiz software on the Tab.
If Allshare isn't available in the app store, then look for iMediashare or any other DNLA capable app. I'm assuming the TV is a "Smart" one, and connects somehow to your home network. Now look for a Media Link app/option on the TV. Run the DNLA app on your tablet, then run the Media Link app on the TV. The TV should see the tablet and any other media share devices that are on yor network. Pick either local or web content from your tablet, and the tablet should be able to send it to the TV.
I do this with my LG Smart TV. I'm working on the assumtion that all the Smart TVs are somewhat similar, despite being from different companies.
Good luck. It's a joy when it works.

No luck finding Allshare or iMediashare in the US market.
Samsung has a remote app that works okay, just not sure of the need for it.
Any other suggestions?
Twonky Mobile demo version works for me, although I can't say I've tried watching movies with it just yet.
Edit: Videos do play.

Hi guys, just bought a Samsung smart TV and I wanted to know if and how could I stream movies from my phone to the TV Wireless.
I'm currently running Cm9. If there is an app required can someone upload it please.. thanks

You need all share to stream stuff on your smart tv. I don't know if all share works with CM9 though. All share is included in the stock Rom, so maybe if you ask somebody he/she will extract it for you do you can try it on CM9
it works on stock
Dont know about CM9, but with the stock rom, you just need to make sure your TV and Phone are connected to the same wifi and then you play your file on your phone. A symbol at the top of the stock player shows a 'choose your player' dialogues and then you choose your TV. Its starts playing either instantly or with a prompt on your tv, depending on your tv setup. I have mine set to auto accept. Works with photos and videos. I have tried with 1080p movies and it works without a problem.
Tv is LG LM670T. 3d smart. its gorgeous
I think most recently manufactured tv hs dlna.
Just search your tv model on Internet then you should be able to find out.
If so, then download bubbleupnp app from play store. You can either set up another server on your computer, which I do, using plex server, which you can download for free for your pc. Or you can use your phone as the server as well.
You can control all the streaming from your pc to your tv or phone to tv right from the bubbleupnp app. Very cool. If you install the extra bubbleupnp server on your computer, you can even stream remotely. Very easy to set up and very cool. Real cool.

If I understand well, you have two options: (1) stock Samsung rom and AllShare Cast (it needs Samsung framework, hence CM will not work) or (2) use DLNA (check if your TV supports it, but I guess so) and one of the apps mentioned above (which will also work in CM as it should support DLNA).
My PS3 and my smart tv pickup my windows computer over wifi enabling me to show pictures music and videos on it. Im assuming this is a windows feature that allows it to show up like that. Is there any type of app that can fake the tv I to thinking my phone is a wi dows media?
I may be using wrong technology terms here but hope what I am saying makes sense
Hey,
There are many apps for that in Google Play, the technology is called "DLNA", just look for that in Google Play.
I use imediashare for displaying videos and pictures on my Sony TV. But with this app you normally send your media to the TV, and not the other way round.
Just try it!

Phil

Ill give it a try, im away from my tv for a few days. what im assuming is my vizio tv that i can access my videos via submenus on the vizio tv app "Vmedia" i would be able to see my phone up on it. Or is this needing an extra thing connected to the phone or tv?

Sony Tablet S aka Sony SGPT111US/S
Hey guys, I started to realize the limitations of "throwing" because you have to throw within the Video Player videos you've saved or downloaded. We do a lot of streaming sites, so I guess mirroring is what we need.
A sony rep told me that those micro usb to HDMI adapters will not work. So I would like to know if there are solutions to what I want to do? Is there a hack or something to make micro usb to HDMI adapters work? Or, an app that would allow MIRROR DISPLAY?
PLease advise, thank you.
No working solutions for what I want to do?

The Sony Tablet S does not incorporate the necessary hardware to provide MHL USB to HDMI output. The tablet does provide, as you know, some DLNA capabilities with a few of its native apps. Perhaps other apps like DLNA Server, Streambels AirPlay/DLNA Player, or BubbleUPnP UPnP/DLNA will meet your needs.

They do not mirror your display.
I remember an app which mirrors your display onto a computer and control it from their via wifi though.

No Chromecast here. Have an apple tv. My tv is an LG 60lm7200. I cannot find a way to wirelessly mirror my phone screen to my TV. Any ideas?
Your lg tv may be miracast ready or there may be a software upgrade to support it. if it does support miracast then all you need to do is go to settings\share &connect\Miracast set to on and search and connect.
if it is not miracast ready you can buy a miracast dongle from amazon and such.
AllCast from clockwork mod in playstore will let you send videos and pics to your airplay device (appletv) but miracast will allow you to send your entire desktop.
I would go down the miracast route.
Tv is not miracast capable, smart share app is a place holder. All cast is only local files correct? Looking for live mirroring

I edited my previous post.
you could go the hardware method using a cable with an hdmi out called a slimport adapter.
We have been having great success and a lot of fun mirroring the G3 to the audio receiver and then on out to the TV via a Chromecast on HDMI.
Popcorn Time !
When I tried that on my Nexus5 it did great for a while then got hot and stopped. No such problem with the G3, strangely.
