ISO of a Full Screen Adheisive Tempered Glass Screen protector. - Samsung Galaxy S8 Accessories

Im looking for a full screen adhesive screen protector for my Galaxy S8. The only ones Ive been able to find are the ones with the adhesive around the edges. This causes and air gap between the glass and the actual screen and is very difficult to use without having to press hard. Also when the Adhesive gets weak it allows dirt and hair and such to get trapped between the glass and the screen.
I Found one on Amazon but its $45!
Looking one that's glass (no film garbage) that has full screen adhesive for cheap.
Any Suggestions?

I just don't understand on why these makers only put the adhesive around the edges. What id the adhesive so expensive they cannot afford to put it on the whole screen?
When I had my Galaxy S3 I installed a tempered glass protector on it and i have never had a problem with it because it had full screen adhesive, but thanks for sharing that post.

[Q] YU Tempered Glass Screen Guard for Yureka

Hello,
Any one has bought YU Tempered Glass Screen Guard for Yureka AO5510.
If yes please tell us a bit about it.
The tempered glass is of high quality. perfect in size, quality and other specifications, and more over it's cheap!
The edges of the glass are slightly curved. Thus it have a better feel when swiping through corners.
Also packing was great and it also includes wet, dry and a blue sticker to remove all the dirt and oil from the screen. For an additional 50 bucks, they place the glass perfectly on your screen.
but you dont require a screen protector . its gorilla glass .
Better be prepared for the worst than feeling Sorry later. Right?
Gorilla glass 3 is good but lets not take any chances. If something happens even somehow you made a scratch it will be difficult to replace the entire screen. Well in my opinion its far too easy to replace a tempered glass protector considering the availability of service . Lets not take any chances folks. I already bought a nilikin case and installed a screen protector came with the phone. I was looking forward to buy one tempered glass screen protector.
Any Info about,OneAssist YU Assure Accidental Damage Protection. ??
Does any one knows how this works ?? How there service is offered. A detailed description would be much appreciated.
I think it's a better option to go with syska gadget secure as it also provides theft insurance for 200 extra.

This is made of glass. Its thicker and protects the screen better. The feel is also better since you are not rubbing against plastic

Even Gorilla Glass 3 gets scratched with fine specs if dirt. If for some reason it slides face down on a dusty table, it can show the scratches. It is scratch resistant but not scratch proof. tempered glass, over a period of time will also have scratches on them, but not as fast as normal silicone scratch guards.

Unless you take the help of a pen to use the touchscreen, the provided screen guard is more than sufficient!
Does anyone know if I can use any other 5.5. inch phone's gorilla glass screen protector for yureka's screen? I have the phone and the screen protector that came along with it but I don't have access to the market to get its original gorilla glass thingy. I was thinking maybe I could do some modification to any other similar sized protector and fit it into the yureka screen?

Hey Riyapant, you said "For an additional 50 bucks, they place the glass perfectly on your screen."
Can you let us know where and how to avail this service? I bought the tempered glass screen protector for my Yureka from amazon.in and wouldn't mind spending Rs. 50/- more for getting it perfectly applied.
thx in adv..

Hello mailsaku,
Its easy to apply the tempered glass screen protector unlike the normal screen protectors. As you can easily remove and reapply it without any issues. I had to remove it from my old yureka (as i had hard bricked it) and apply it on the new replacement it worked very well even in that case. So its even more easier if u r applying it for the first time. Just follow the instructions provided with the product.
Review of Original Leather Back Cover & Tempered Glass
I got the leather back cover along with the device. The cover feels good but has a little issue that unlike other covers that rise a little above the screen, it doesn't. Thus I applied a tempered glass to prevent damage to the edges of the screen.
As I see a lot of you are confused about the Tempered glass application process and is it worth buying, I'd say its fairly easy to apply the tempered glass as well as the screen protector by simply following the instructions on the pack. Also some tutorials are available on YouTube on how to apply them. Why pay money for doing something that you can easily do at home all you need is little patience.
I felt the urge to put the tempered glass to only protect the edges of the screen from damage as after applying tempered glass the surface of the tempered glass is little higher as compared to the edges of the device. Though after a month of use of tempered glass it has come off a little near the earpiece.

[Q] Extra adhesive for Glass Protectors?

Is it possible to get extra adhesive for a glass protector incase you want to take it off and reapply? Anyone used any substitutes?
Really, i dont think I've ever seen a adhesive replacement for these tempered glass, they usually run pretty cheap on amazon and are one time use. Once you pull off a tempered glass you're gonna get weird marks on it underneath from the adhesive ripping apart sadly. Good luck on finding a solution though!
No

should i remove the screen protector?

I find that the (plastic) screen guard that's provided with this phone is a major smudge magnet. I'm thinking of removing it. I'd like any feedback from anyone who has already taken it off.
Cheers.
UPDATE: I went ahead and got 9H Glass cover. 2-pack for $8 on Amazon. Immensely better than the plastic this phone ships with. I highly recommend doing this, even if you don't personally see a problem with the plastic cover. I promise once you see the difference you'll agree it was worth it.
So happy I posted this question.
Thank you all for your responses!
There doesn't seem to be an oleophobic coating on the display because they expect you to keep the screen protector on. So taking it off might result in even more smudges. Personally, I didn't find the screen protector that came pre-installed to be a smudge magnet. I actually found that it reduced them. I'm not saying the protector necessarily has an oleophobic coating, but that I didn't have a problem with smudges on it. The only reason why I took mine off was because there was some black dust underneath the screen protector and I couldn't get it back on without more dust appearing under it. So I just removed it completely. You might have to buy another screen protector of your choice that will better repel smudges to your satisfaction.
I've taken mine off because I scratched mine with a paper towel (like wtf?) but now I wish I haven't, because things stick to the screen easier. So unless you have an alternate screen protector ready, I'd recommend not.

Thanks. This is information I didn't have. I have a couple of other devices with no plastic cover; I don't have the smudge issue with them. But if there's no coating on the h5, then it's probably best to keep it on.
Buy a tempered glass protection, that's cheap and protect very well the screen (ebay, amazon, aliexpress bangood, etc....) keywords : phone name + "tempered glass" or "9h"

Had various of those. All broke either in my pocket or by a slightdrop (dropping it on the table from like 4cms high. It doesnt protect against smudges very well. Got a plastic matt screenprotector. Tempered glass is a waste of you money in my opinnion.

Have various myself, only broken one, on a tablet.
Plastic is not the same feel as glass on the fingers (don't know how to explain it better in english), and it scratch must faster.

Bought a generic 9H on eBay for 1€
I also have a transparent silicone case for the same price
I also bought the Nillkin 9H, but the other is still good so....
I took my plastic screen protector off the moment I got my tempered glass screen protector. Couldn't really remember how the original one felt since I only had for a very short period of time. That said, I recommend taking screen protector off for something better.
The stock screen protector is trash, all it does is act as a fingerprint magnet.
I did go to a Nillkin 9H. Wow - 90% reduction in smudges, and it is more sensitive than the stock plastic. Dropped the phone a few times, no issues. I do have an iPacky thin case, and it shows the abuse of daily use, but survives fine. It is also very thin. The thick cases defeat the whole purpose of our slim beauty.
I found that replacing the factory plastic screen protector with a high quality glass screen protector makes it a little better in terms of less fingerprint smudges and protection.

i took it off and you get some scratches but not allot. if you look at the jerryrigs video he tested it and its as strong as gorilla glas. So you can take it off. i took mine off because there was a huge scratch in my screen protector and i could not live with that.
Cheers:good:

I would wait to get a tempered glass, just to prevent any scratches on the LCD

I have literally never used any screen protector and have never had issues. However, YMMV. I immediately took off the screen protector that came with it. I did buy a nice cheap protective case from Amazon prime. It has enough lip to protect the screen and I always make sure not to put my phone in the same pocket as my keys or sharp items.
using honor 5x without screen protector since months, no scratch at all.
bt the back side got a couple of scratches from my bike keys

DIY- whitedome tempered glass

Sorry if this has been posted, but this is too good not to share.
I'm one of those guys who purchased the 45 dollar whitedome tempered glass screen protector. It was great, however last week it got smashed when it fell and hit the corner of my desk.
There's no way I'm going to pay another 45 for a new one. I did some research and found that they simply use loca glue a standard tempered glass and a uv light. So I purchased loca glue for about 6 bucks and a tempered glass (I recommend one that is open on top. I got the 2 pack woitech one so I could have 2 shots lol. It doesn't matter which one you chose as long as it is similar). I still had my UV light from whitedome. So all I did was applied the glue (be careful, a quarter size should be enough) to the middle and applied the tempered glass. I left the boarder adhesive on the tempered glass but you may want to remove it. Then tape up the buttons, ports , camera (stuff is greasy and hard to get off if it seeps) and earpiece (I used painting tape) and then applied the tempered glass. It takes some playing to get all the bubbles out (same as whitedome). Once cured it is the exact same as whitedome... actually better... It's not as thick and has better curves.
I highly recommend this. Once again take your time, I put way too much and it leads to seeping and bubbles.
I might do it again with my backup tempered glass to have a perfect installation, if I do I can make a video.
If you haven't already, watch a youtube video on whitedome screen protector installation before attempting. Very similar installation. Only difference is you have a lifetime supply of loca instead of that tiny amount and you can do it as many times as you like.
Did you do this with a case friendly or full coverage screen protector? and do cases fit on it?

Supershieldz Tempered Glass Screen Protector

My current phone is a Nexus 6P and I have been using a Spigen case + an intelliArmor tempered glass screen protector. Both products are excellent and I have been thrilled with them (and the phone), but the battery is starting to go on me so I figured it was time for a replacement. After some research I settled on the XZP (G8142).
I was able to order the Spigen case for the XZP, but intelliArmor does not make a screen shield (that I can find), so I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with Supershieldz before.
I looked at getting the Skinomi skin and just using the part for the screen along with the Spigen case, but I really prefer tempered glass.
Looking forward to my first Xperia phone!
** UPDATE **
The protector, phone, and case all came in. The Spigen case is top notch as expected, as is the phone itself.
The screen protector is also fantastic. I tried putting it on the recommended way (using the guide stickers), but I could never get the right alignment using this method. I ended up free-handing it and lining it up as best I could, and I think I got within a half millimeter or so of a perfect application (the bottom is perfect, the top speaker is slightly off but not enough to be annoying or obstruct the speaker). There were absolutely no air bubbles to smooth out, which surprised me.

Is the adhesive just on the edges of the Tempered Glass? Is there some oil-like residue between the screen and glass?
I purchased a very similar Tempered Glass protector to the Supershieldz version and found the adhesive is just on the edges, top/bottom/left and right but the entirety of the screen, where the border is not is free to flex and obviously, with the gap that exists without adhesion has an odd oil-like residue, which many users reported.
I have had my XZP for a week now and have not even used it because I want a proper Tempered Glass protector which has received good reviews, along with a folio/wallet/flip case which has a strong latch/magnet to protect the phone overall, along with waiting for a DRM/TA fix before I stop using the Z5P and move onto my XZP.

Mine has the glue on the edges but there's no oil or anything in the middle.
It looks very similar to the Supershieldz one, might even be a rebrand. It's under the brand name "Panzer Glass".
It works pretty much flawlessly.

The one I purchased is very similar also, but has the cut-out where you can see the Sony 'logo'. Reviews are poor for those, everyone has observed the same issues as myself. I have purchased several other Tempered Glass Protectors, still waiting for them to arrive, different styles and brands to see which is the best fit with the best coverage. I will report back.

I didn't actually notice if the adhesive was along the edges or the entire piece of glass, but it seemed like the whole piece had adhesive when I peeled off the protective plastic before applying.
I have been using the phone with the protector for about two weeks and here are my observations:
I have moved my thumbs with ample pressure across the face of the protector to see if the glass shifts or moves. It hasn't budged.
No oily residue or weird artifacts.
The fit is quite nice. Without a case, the edges would be noticeable, but with the Spigen case on you can hardly tell there is a screen protector.
In bright/direct sunlight or when you hold the phone in bright light just right you will see a grid of dots on the LCD screen - I don't know if this is because of the protector or the screen itself. It doesn't bother me as it is not noticeable the majority of the time.
My account is too new to link to external sites, so just search supershieldz xperia xz premium on Amazon and it should come up.

Appreciate the feedback. I have just taken possession of a Muvit Tempered glass, it is clear without any borders but just the same as the rest. Everyone I have tried thus far has adhesive only on the edges, the larger portion of the screen is free to flex and move and due to that, requires a firmer press and in doing so, you hear a crisp packet like noise, a sort of crunching sound. Really annoying me now, but it is due to the curvature of the screen that we are seeing a lack of good quality glass protectors. For the Z5P I found P-Think on Amazon to be the best, yet to find any suitable candidates for the XZP.
I will order a double pack of Supershieldz soon.
