Or before. It doesn't make a difference. It's flashing to partitions ROM is not touching.
Just be aware that if you want to flash CM12 nightly later on you need to use similar zip to update firmware to CM12, unless this new CM11 firmware (extras zip) is compatible with CM12 which I'm going to check as soon as I flash 05Q as primary in MultiROM and see if my secondary LP ROMs boot.

Wrong move. You will have trouble. Read the thread that I linked to above on TWRP 3.0x and its interactions with Android 6.0. Things have changed in Android 6.0, and read the entire thread on the Marshmallow Alpha ROM. You really should not install Alpha level ROMs without first reading the entire thread, so as not to fall into pitfalls that others have fallen into. And this one is one of them, which was discussed at length.
You can try to format the data, and then restart the recovery mode

Oh you can a fastboot package and unpack it. Find a file called ''splash.img'' that's it.

Magisk modules won't make your phone significantly faster. You have to flash overclocked custom kernel (H-Kernel or Ares Cobalt for example), and some (free of bloat) custom rom to achieve that.
