If the base is the lineage, I think that the normal thing is that they are similar (but not the same). On the other hand, each one is free to install, try one, try another, prefer one, prefer another ...
For my part grateful to dev ... and to follow ... (now trying the new aospextended experimental). Thanks

@jeal0us Can you build for VS985 would love to try this new rom?
Thank you for this nice rom. It's really smooth and fine for me. It's adaptive brightness is much more successful than Resurrection Remix. I want to report few issues tough. Upon reboot or power on alarms starting to come up with alarm sound until desktop gets ready. Also statusbar keys settings in settings don't work but freedomhub settings work.

EXPLAINING TWEAKS
KERNEL TWEAKS
-Added entropy
-Edited dirty_expire_centisecs and writeback values to an highter to improve battery
-reduced swappiness to 30
-cache pressure value reduced to improve performance
-page cluster set to 3, better multitask
MALI: mali max read set to 48 more smooth, mali debug level set to 0 more fluency
FSYNC: fsync is an android capability that allows the system to write continuously data from ram to flash to avoid data loss due to a sudden shoutdown. It is enabled by default, if you have a stable system you can also disable it because it can improve performance (less writing by cpu, less battery using, better performance!) It's at your risk!
CRT-OFF EFFECT: Introduced in 2.3.6 it is a screen of animation, if your kernel supports it you can enable or disable it in time by this app
CPU TUNE: included a cpu control, you can choose frequencies, governors and schedulers, and the settings are sticky also after reboot!
IO STATS: disabling this the system overall is more smooth
EXT4 enhancements: various tweaks to the ext4 partitions, all should be better and smoothly
SD CARD TWEAKS: increase sd card r/w from 128 (def) to 2048, now you will have better read and write speeds of your sdcard
BATTERY: You can set the deepest sleep state (3-4-5) and disable the fair sleepers, this can improve batery backup
VACUUM: It cleans the system, the apps, it is such a cleaner that keeps clean the sqlite databases.
GPS: choose your favourite country and enjoy a faster gps locking! No more waiting!
GPU renderer: You can disable the hardware render to enable the software one. UI is snappier.[/CENTER]
MAJOR TWEAKS WILL BE ENABLED ONLY AFTER REBOOT!
ENJOY!
Thank you to all that have helped me to make possible this little project.
Tips for new features or improvements are welcome!!
Thanks, but you must describe more what exactly do every settings.

Great work guy.
I know that you want to make this kernel tweaking app universal for all android devices, but I hope that you also can make another app only for tweaking cocore kernel because the only cocore tweaking app is not in development anymore( I think so). Cocore kernel has a lot of settings to play with, so I hope that you can make an app for it to make all the users easier to play with the kernel It is not a request, just a suggestion

Rom is nice, it's fast, smooth and feature packed. Only issue I have so far is that neither my home or power key wakes my device. Only way I can wake it is via unplugging/plugging my charger
Edit: So used to flashing cm roms that i installed agni on impulse lol. Will try without it now
Edit 2: Yep it was the kernel. if anyone needs agni install the smdk4x12 version :good:

RRO is just the theme engine I believe. This rom is based on Slim, plus a few goodies. It might have what you're looking for somewhere in settings. You could always go into settings and use the search feature to see what you get

So there's one thing that's bugging me about both this and Orion and is the only thing keeping me from using this daily: I don't have an ac adapter for my phone so I use either agni or shift kernel to increase the usb charge level. The problem is that even though I can see that the setting sticks and it's supposed to use that charge level, it doesn't, and this is on both shift and agni. It will start to charge at the 1000 mA I set it to then decrease to 100 mA. I wanted to say it may be my charger or a hardware prob but it doesn't do this on other roms; I use mostly wilson3q's CM for example and it charges consistently at 1000 mA. I also tried using my dad's Note 3 ac adapter and the charge speed also decreases from about 2 amps to 600 mA. If anyone else experiences this and/or could help me find a solution or cause I'd appreciate it :good:
new build is running, need test. i added kernel shift into this build.
P.S : i just removed shift kernel. it is not good when i added into build.

Nice to see some development here ?

@flar2 does this have the fix to bypass bootloader unlock check like some kernels for the Nexus and Sharkey here for the Pixel in order to pass safety net?

Thank you. That would be greatly appreciated.
enable insecure adbd and disable dm-verity
@flar2 Since we don't have root and TWRP, can you enable insecure adbd and disable dm-verity, please?
I want to mess with system partition via adb...
nice to see you already working on this kernel
wonderful! flashed to boot_a (according to boot slot displayed in bootloader). DT2W working perfectly, thanks!
Flashed 0.03 and working a treat. ^_^ Do like the sweep functions.
Hey @flar2 I checked "About" and says ElementalX-0.02 even though I flashed 0.03. This just a typo?
It's great to have you here flar2!

Nice to see you here. Htc one m7. Nexus 6 and now the pixel. Thanks for your work here on xda
I hate to spam your thread but AWESOME. Love your work on the Grouper and Flo, stoked to see you working on the Pixel XL. And I do miss tap to wake for sure. Makes me wish the fingerprint sensor was on the front of the device.
Thanks for all of your work flar - really appreciate it!!
@flar2 Do you think high brightness mode will work with the pixels? I used that constantly with my 6p

The sweep gestures (especially sweep up) are far superior to double tap. Double tap interferes with phone calls, sweep doesn't. Double tap cause accidental wakes, sweep up rarely ever does (we won't have pocket detection without a userspace comment on this device). Double tap can be unreliable, sweep up works every single time.
You rock flar2
hey flar..will you also make this available for the pixel..

ABOUT:
BlackScreen is @mosimchah custom kernel made for custom aosp/caf roms
================================================== ==================================================
BlackScreen is meant to give you great battery life and performance (depending on how you tune it), essentially I tried to optimize it for everyday usage (gaming, media consumption. browsing the web, all that stuff), I'm not aiming to have the highest Antutu score (although it is very high, it's just not my focus), you see benchmarks don't really reflect actual everyday usage.
The main thing that I do is port good features and optimizations from the various OnePlus 3/3t kernels (they have many great kernel devs and a lot of their work can benefit us too), I also optimize the kernel settings and stuff like that
BlackScreen is based off of the android linux stable kernel by @nathanchance (He takes caf and upstreams it to the latest from linux stable), with the bringup from @codeworkx, I do my best to keep it up to date with lineage, and Android Linux stable

To change governors just use kernel auditor
Can I use kernel auditor without root
I flashed your Kernel, and my wifi is stuck on OFF. Do you think this can be fixed?

Has anyone tried it on OMNI PIE and NOT getting the WiFi problems?
Thanks

I am using 2.4 and 5
I had to put the DHCPv6 Server to "Stateful"
@moto999999 I'm using with AEX by CBG
Where can I find the options for setting the vibration strength? in ex kernel manager. The default is too strong
Using In C.B.G Miui pie Build.Battery Is Good. But There Is 2 problem Rom Didn't pass safetynet & Volume can't be control Always on full.

KuranKuname: lionfish, or impulse (these will cause lags, interactive is really good enough though)
this kernel IS compatible with latest liquidremix, i flashed it.
i have one doubt about voltages... what is the safe - offset to set in your opinion? and how to test it? set a lower value then use geekbench or antutu and if no errorrs.... go a step down every time?
aother doubt, why the intellithermal (faux 123) is DISABLED by default?
LiquidRemix has aggressive throttle! After 50 °C frequency drops to cpu0-1: 1190 MHz and cpu2-3: 1478 MHz. If u want disable this big throttle delete file: system/vendor/bin/throttle-engine
