Xposed framework installed, Module activated, yet won't work - Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Questions & Answers

Hello ppl
I installed Xposed Framework for Nougat RR, which was released today. I then activated the Greenify Module in the Xposed Installer, then rebooted.
The greenify app still shows "Activate Module, Reboot" when I try to use the Xposed based settings.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

If you followed the official discussion thread: -

You would have learned that greenify app needs to be update to work with Nougat and V88!

You are on offical rr of rr by darkness...

Just updated the app to v3.7 and it still doesn't work. :crying:

How did you activate RR? I installed it but shows xposed is installed but not active.

Xposed and the Nexus 10

So Xposed was updated for Lollipop. How many of you are using it with the Nexus 10? I was using CM12 before Xposed and when I first tried installing it, it worked. Then I tried updating the nightly and flashing Xposed again and boot looped. Since then, I couldn't get it flashed on CM12 again. I decided to try an AOSP ROM and went with Dirty Unicorns. Xposed works just fine on that one. So anyone else using Xposed? What ROM are you using it with? Anyone having any issues? What modules are you using? I was thinking of using this thread as a general Xposed discussion since I didn't see another one.
I also had problems with bootloops while flashing the alpha xposed build..
Since the i reflashed cm12 and eagerly waiting for a more stable xposed build!
Running the extended boot menu mod right now. Looking forward to a gravity box release

I'm not so sure its xposed that's causing the problem. My Nexus 5 hasn't had any issues. I've only had issues on CM12 on the nexus 10. But as i mentioned, its been running good on the dirty unicorn ROM which is an aosp ROM.

I've installed Xposed GEL settings and flat style colored bars. Both running good. For some reason, i can't get the status and nav bars on the home screen to be transparent though.
I'm running Xposed with no issues on Purity ROM. Tried to use GEL Settings but that was a mess. Can't figure out a good configuration for my homescreen grids and icon sizes, etc..etc... Anyone have a suggestion about that?
I'd love to have some sort of fullscreen Zooper widget overlay on my homescreens but alas that kind of thing is above my abilities. Lol

I just tried Alpha 2 of xposed on my Manta. Still getting stuck on boot.
Using CM12 and Khaon Kernel
Alpha 2.. Running Logs filter, Xinstaller, media scanner optimizer, unified nlp, YouTube adaway.. Works fine.
Had it installed on CM12. Everything was working fine. I updated and it bootlooped. Whoops.
I had CF Lumen installed also so I'm not sure which one broke it. In recovery I wiped /system, flashed the rom, GAPPS, su (because it is better than CM12's), then xposed. Booted up fine and worked perfectly.
Did have to have a second reboot because of BBS/CF Lumen but that was expected.
Hmm. So you guys are on cm12 and xposed is working?
Weird.. How long does it take to boot after you flash xposed? Maybe i am not waiting long enough..
EDIT
Just recovered some storage from system partition using this. Flashed xposed and finally booted fine. I guess i was out of storage in my system partition
Thx and great work to Khaon!

[Q] Lollipop 5.0.x compatibility list - is Greenify fully compatible?

HI
Is Greenify thoroughly tested with latest Lollipop ROMs? Namely CM12 5.0.2.
I use more Xposed app to improve phone performance including Greenify but instead the phone becomes slowish to laggy. This list ranks Greenify as incompatible:
http://android.wonderhowto.com/inspiration/complete-list-lollipop-compatible-xposed-modules-0160380/
These modules I have currently active:
- 3C Toolbox
- Greenify
- Amplify (formerly Unbounce)
- Lollipop Memory Leak Fix
- Lucky Patcher Xposed settings
- BubbleUPNP
- Xposed Additions
- Gesture Control
+ Xposed Framework 3.0 Alpha 2
Never try on CM12 5.0.2 but I try on CM12.1 5.1 and get bootloop.
Greenify should work on Android 5.0.x. I'm aware of the bootloop on Android 5.1.x and going to investigate the issue when I get my hands on a 5.1.x device.

Hello, I have android 5.1 and have the Greenify working in a SG-GT-8730. and I do not have xposed installed, for if it serves them.
After some hard trial and error, I failed to make Greenify compatible with the current super alpha version (20150501) of the unofficial Xposed build. Seems like an issue in the framework itself (which is reported to the developer)
At present, I have to disable the Xposed module of Greenify on Android 5.1 until I can verify it works with the later improved build of Xposed framework, to save your time from a bootloop.
thx for letting us know ? keep us posted ?

systemless version is not under official development by rovo89
basically, another dev (topjohnwu) is developing it from official sources
maybe in the future rovo89 will provide some tests builds, but that is simply up to him
so short answer, it might be compatible, but no promises
however, current unofficial version is compatible (if you test), but some xposed modules are not fully developed under systemless root

Once you installed it, make the settings you desire and poof, you're done. I may ask you to enable one permission in settings just to work right. I have the version from play store. What i did, was just to make the settings it asks in the beginning and then I added the apps i wanted to hibernate. And that's all. Enable root access, but not xposed in greenify.
it make hibernate apps quickly just like with xposed

If you used the Xposed by PurifyOS, then Greenify will not work as an Xposed module. It is not compatible with that version of Xposed.
You can use Magisk and install the Magisk module of Greenify to enjoy something better than Boost mode in Greenify. Still the Xposed based functions of Greenify won't work.
EDIT: Or you can simply use Greenify as a root app without Boost mode and Xposed based functionalities.

The best xposed module for this phone, in my opinion, would be "custoMIUIzer" (search for the official thread here on xda). Too many features to list, basically adds to miui tons of features typically found in custom roms.

Umm, Magisk and Xposed are two different things with different purposes.
They are, sadly, XPOSED is kind of dead with only some modules on life support.. and the system lags more.
Still i'm glad that we have the choice, for who need it.
