So recently (started on saturday night, no updates that I know of) my N8 started experiencing screen lag/stutter. It wasn't input based. I played around w/ dev mode and enabled touch tracking and there was very minimal touch lag; nothing I wouldn't expect on any other phone. It was more scrolling/video stuttering type lag.
Very easily noticeable on long websites/sync for reddit/xda/forums/etc and while watching any video in fullscreen mode. A restart fixes the issue immediately and it hasn't come back yet. However my bro experienced the same issue a few days before me and again resolved by restarting. Both of us haven't had this yet.
Any input?

Hi, I recently bought a HD2. So far it's been fine & I've enjoyed looking at all the posts & tweeks that are available for it, on these boards.
I have a query though I recorded a 15sec video in portrait, the other day & transferred it to my computer, it played fine, & the right way up.
Since then, I think, I do the same thing, but all the videos come out in landscape mode even though recorded in portrait & when I transfer them to my computer they are on their sides.
I know I can rotate them using 'w movie maker' but what I can't understand is why the 1st one came out correctly & the rest 90 degrees out.
Any thoughts as to what I'm doing wrong?
TIA
Hi guys.
i've had my prime for awhile now, used it's video recording before, but today it seems to be having some problems.
1. Video Recording in Full HD 1080p for 1 min, once i click on the stop, it hangs there for quite awhile, and ultimately pops up the message box "camera app has hanged" , even if i click wait, the camera seems to hang indefinitely and the only way for me to close it is to force reboot.
2. If i record at 20sec or 40sec, it doesn't have a problem. though it hangs around (i think it's converting the videos)
anyone else have this problem? also anyone knows of any alternative camera app other then the stock one?
Mine did the same thing the other night and I had to force close it. When I tried to relaunch the application it said it could not connect to the camera device. I had to do a full shutdown and reboot. I think there are too many bugs either in the OS, the application or the tablet. If you find a better camera app let me know please.
Glad to hear i'm not the only one
There's a few more things i noticed though. This only happened after the recent update. So i'm guessing it's a software problem.
2nd thing is, i'm wondering if it is necessary to actually do a conversion after the video recording. My HD2 phone can record videos without any hanging after i click on the stop button.
Not much hanging or crashes here but I do experience freezes when zooming while recording video. Wondered if this was app or hardware...
hmm i tried on a friend's Transformer (not prime)
Their video recording is seemless.. the moment i click the stop recording button. the recording stops instantly and no hanging or anything..
i'm wondering if it has anything to do with our multiple updates..
I do remember multiple reports of the Prime's very poor disk performance. It scored very low on multiple benchmarks.
Update on this. i sent my Prime to ASus service center. Reported this pproblem + another dock problem. Will update once i get my prime back
Update on this. I just got my prime back. They did a excellent job. Completely fixed now. Video recording is fluid. Even recording for 20sec / 40 sec / 1 min, it stops immediately. I guess just a re-fresh would have solved the problem but since i had another dock problem which they'll need to fix, they fixed this at the same time.
Hey guys. I just recently got a Galaxy S3 and just had a couple of questions.
First of all: I have noticed the slight flickering that other galaxy users have experienced from using texting. And I know its a very common issue, but has anyone found a solution to the problem? it's a very tiny flicker so it's not a big problem, but its the principle I suppose. Just wondering if anyones found a fix!
Okay, secondly, im familiar with the disabling the hardware overlays to fix some issues, like when I go to play games like Shadowgun Deadzone, however has anyone had an issue where after they checked it off, their browsers have a sort of "ghosting" effect while scrolling up and down? It fixed the game, but made the ui buggy....kind of a weird tradeoff. Also, it froze my video player so it doesnt move. Anybody got a helpful solution for this? Please and thank you!
So far, the z2 for me has been an awesome phone all around, but I do have a major nitpick about the handset, and was wondering if anyone else has this issue..
I have noticed in quite a few of the games that I play, that there is a noticeable delay in audio from what I am doing on screen, for example, I was trying to play cytus last night, however thee was almost a second delay between the music and the actual time you are meant to hit a note
Another example was when I was trying to play sonic cd, the game runs like a dream, however, the audio is about a second behind the gameplay, which sounds very weird when a lot if going on, onscreen..
I have found that some games work fine though, sonic 1 for example works fine, no delay at all..., the same with PSO2es, no delay at all...
Is this a software bug with the phone or is the an audio setting I need to change? Does anyone else have this issue?
Its apparently been knoticed as a device specific bug to do with a odd firmware reaction or at least that what i found googling stuff up

Mine has an audio sync problem when I play 4K movies recorded with the Z2. The sync problem is also present when I play the movies on my PC.
Greetings David
I have the delay problem when playing some games. Very annoying. Is there some sound processing that can be turned off to fix it?
Hi, I've run into this same weird bug on two Nexus 9s that I've used, one on (stock) Android 6.0.1 and the other on the N Preview: when I switch to another app after playing a Netflix video, the display suddenly gets incredibly glitchy and the device becomes unusably unresponsive. The only fix is to hold down the power button until the tablet reboots. This doesn't happen every time I use Netflix, but frequently.
Having seen this on two Nexus 9s (neither is rooted) running two different (stock) Android versions -- and having never encountered this before on any other device -- I was sure I'd find lots of talk about the bug online. Weirdly, I don't see any. Is anyone else seeing this? If it's just me, I imagine the bug must have to to with a nasty interaction between Netflix and some other app I'm running? (GMD? Pie Control? Glovebox?)
Thanks for any help!
Alan
