I concur.

SlimROM as everyone suggested!
But try out "Xaif's DarkRom" it's an extra lean Lineage OS with almost all the pixel features. Its LXDE of Android ROM's IMO

Holy sh*t! On MIUI, I get only 1.2-1.6GB, after clearing all apps.
1.8-2.0 GB ram free on Slim6 by Umang on clearing all apps. Minimum always free ram is 1.8 GB.....never less than that. I have Facebook, twitter,Instagram tumble, WhatsApp and few heavy games installed too........I only use greenify app to save few battery

Android cares about free RAM, that's why it kills processes when it's running low, unlike with Windows, when it just chugs a long (and uses pagefile).

It cares, but it is better when more ram is used. It also kills the least recently (or least important) used process when it needs ram.

I guess knowing how much free RAM gives us a sense of available overhead for the future. Adjusting the LMK to make use of the available free RAM isn't a bad idea.

What rom has lowest memory usage?

Hi boys, im using 2gb variant of kenzo, and im struggling with really bad memory managment for most roms.
What is your daily driver on 2gb kenzo?
Thanks
Never use miui ..if you're worried about memory management
Well, i was using miui for couple weeks but looking for nice nougat rom, maybe worth to wait for aospa update so i can use custom Kernel like Agni or ElementalX?

I used LineageOS with stock kernel and LSpeed Root. Memory usage was below 1GB easily until I opened games like Injustice 2 or CSR2

Why don't you expand the RAM? I too have 2gb var. I am using radon latest with his settings for performance along with 1gb extended RAM. The phone is running pretty smoot.

Battery life = FrancoKernel
Performance = Stormguard Kernel.
However...
Battery Life is inversely proportional to Performance.

Rr, aoscp, aex and liquid remix are definitely worth trying.
Kep in mind that rr, aex and liquid remix have same features tho but rr is most stable. And aoscp really stands out of crowd with its own minimalist features.:good::highfive:

I've been using Havoc OS for some time now and its pretty good and stable, battery life is also not bad. Too bad its not on XDA anymore.
The only other a10 rom i've used on poco is crdroid 6.4 but it was not very stable then, maybe things have changed now.

I don't game, but I've seen other users praising it. Also another good feature on the latest build, you can select renderer of your choice between opengl or vulkan.

vulkan ia better but I've seen many roms reverting back to opengl recently, not sure of the reason. Could be related to stability as vulkan is new tech.
