Outgoing/Incoming calls shown as missed calls on Google Dialer? - Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Questions & Answers

So I am using rn4 with AEX 4.6 ROM(although this issue is not ROM specific, it happens on every Nougat ROM). I am using VoLTE on jio card(India). So my problem is that outgoing as well as incoming calls show up as missed calls in Google Dialer. I am attaching a screenshot. As far as I can tell this mostly happens only with jio numbers.. Anyone experiencing the same issues??

Same here

Use aosp dialer. It's working well. No issue

ya aosp dialer works well but i kind of like the ui of google dialer.. can you tell me if this is a device issue or an issue with google diale

Dont know how, but I think flashing the latest 9.0.3.0 firmware solves this issue, not sure, though.. Would be great if anyone else could conform

Having the same issue, tried flashing the new firmware. Doesn't help
Clearing data, reinstalling also doesn't help
Xaif's DarkRom BTW

This is "Google Dialer" problem, even I got the same issue.
You can also check the review of this app, many users have reported the issue.

Gmail app hangs and force closes all the time

Do you have similar problems? When i open the app often it tries to syn and then force closes. Or it works for some time and then suddenly hangs...
I think this didnt happen before the .21 update. I already cleared cache and deleted data of the app, didnt really help :/
Could it be server related? The market had some problems as well a few days ago (on all my devices).
There are some posts here at XDA and over on androidforums.com's TFP forum discussing this problem. It started happening prior to this update (in my case, it appeared immediately after updating--I can't remember which update though).
To my knowledge, the only thing that temporarily helped some people (not including me), was doing exactly what you already tried.
If you want to work around it, you can set the general purpose Email app to get your GMail, and then deactivate your GMail syncing in your Accounts so that you won't be double notified (or you can just disable status bar notifications in the GMail app)
Oddly enough, this update seems to have fixed the problem for me. (well 2 days after crash, it's back to hanging again--gonna try and decrease the days synced to 7 down from 30 and see if that makes it any better)
Thx for the input ill try stuff and i'm sure ill find a solution sooner or later
The latest update seemed to help my Gmail crashing issues at first. Then yesterday I installed Currents and it started crashing again. I didn't think anything of the connection until I read a post on another forum saying that Currents was causing the crashes for someone. So I uninstalled Currents and so far no Gmail crashes today. It's probably just wishful thinking that the problem is fixed, but thought I would post anyway in case. I know this problem has been driving me absolutely crazy. The main reason I wanted a tablet, easy and convenient emailing... and I can't even freaking use the damn email app without it crashing every 5 seconds. Has me about ready to get rid of it and get an iPad.
---------- Post added at 10:19 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:17 AM ----------
Of course it crashed the second after I posted and tabbed back to Gmail....

Does anyone know where to try and get some support for this issue, btw? I tried with ASUS. Five days later I got a completely idiotic response that had nothing to do with the problem. I have tried submitting feedback via the Gmail app, which goes to Google I guess. No responses. I've been saving crash logs thinking that maybe SOMEONE would be interested in them, but apparently not...
After a few restarts and clear cache and app data the problem seems fixed^^ Didnt hang anymore for 2 days using it several times a day. Maybe it was related to forced 2d GPU rendering that i disabled at about the same time (just breakes too many games and apps for me - would be nice to be able to enable it only for certain apps!). Not sure though if that was it
oh yeah btw at one time when i rebooted there was a 1/1 Asus app update, didnt say which app but that was interesting as well. I was on .21 already at that point.
I did a factory reset and so far so good. Knock on wood.
I've noticed significant improvement on GMail stability since the update as well.
Clearing data from "Google Services Framework" also helps with these kinds of problems. At least for me... So far update helped...
Factory reset didnt do it for me Still crashing all the time.
Just downloaded a gmail update from google play market. crossed fingers that it fixes the crashes!

[XPOSED][MOD][5.0+] MobileRadioActiveFix

Fixes (attempt to fix) mobile radio active bug - https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=165558
I applied this fix (http://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/c/98843/) as Xposed module.
This is test version, don't upload it anywhere!. If it fully works, I will upload it to Xposed repo and share source code.
Source code:https://github.com/pylerSM/MobileRadioActiveFix
APK: https://github.com/pylerSM/MobileRadioActiveFix/blob/master/MobileRadioActiveFix.apk?raw=true
@pyler when was this fix merged into cm source? I am running blisspop and my rom development has been halted. This would be useful for me!
I am running BlissPop v3.3 20150524
May 20.
It has been merged on may 17, so it would be merged into my rom I think. And check msg no. #295 on Google issue tracker
----
I don't know if the dates correct or not
---------- Post added at 05:24 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:17 PM ----------
Going to try this cause yesterday I was traveling and used mobile data all the time and my battery fell short very fast
---------- Post added at 05:31 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:24 PM ----------
Installed and activated. No bootloops or anything.
Now I Will report if there's any improvement
So if I'm running stock rom, this will improve battery?
This running on 5.1.1?

Highly unlikely. This has been merged into many ROMs based off CM12.1 and the issue is exactly the same. Looking at Reddit shows this commit hasn't done much if anything to be honest.
This fix comes from Google developers, not from CM.
Thanks! Trying it on...
Thanks a lot!
Trying it on an Xperia Z3 Compact with latest 5.02 update (it was crazy with this bug). I disabled fast dormancy also, which helped me with the previous build, but if the phone starts sleeping I'll let you know. And thanks, amongst thousands crying for help you are the only one stepping up and attempting to fix it, successful or not you deserve kudos!
Testing it too on a Sony Xperia Z3 Compact running Android 5.0.2 on Xposed 3 alpha4.
Tested on my Galaxy Alpha 5.0.2, seem to be working !! Seems no more cell stanby battery drain on battery stats. Thanks for this.

And it seems to be working!!!!
Doesn't seem to work on xperia z1 running 5.0.2
For the most part it seems to be working, since most apps no longer show exhorbitant use of mobile radio. Now I just have 2 rogue apps: Maps (no idea why) and Google Play Services, which I narrowed down to google play newsstand, as in my account's sync preferences it seemed to keep syncing all the time. Disabled it's sync and will report back to see if it results that helps, but I can confirm that after installing the module my phone SLEEPS! Yayy!
It seems not to be working on Xperia ZL Lollipop 5.0.2
Mobile Radio Active is still too long to let phone in deep sleep..
It seems to works well on Samsung Note 3. No more cell standby in battery stats.
Doesn't work
works wonders on my Note 4 (N910C), thank you!
Testing it on a Nexus 5 with stock Android 5.1.1
Possible causes of the mobile radio bug
Thanks for your work! However,it seemed that the module didnt do anything to my phone
SO I did some experiments today...
I think I have found out a possible fix for the mobile radio bug...I disabled all the google play services in the following pics today, then I found that the battery drain of the mobile network reduced a lot, though the mobile radio activate still remained.
HOWEVER, I dont know which is the exact service caused the bug, maybe you guys can figure out that
CAUTIONISABLING THE FOLLOWING LIST OF SERVICES WILL ALSO DISABLE THE RELATIVE GOOGLE SERVICES,IF YOU NEED TO USE THE SERVICE, THEN YOU SHOULD NOT DISABLE IT.
Well,I suddenly find that I cant post outside links so I just TEll you the names.
I just disabled the services with the tags like CAST,APP,KID,GAME,PEOPLE DETAIL,CAR,REPORT,WEARABLE AND THE INDEXSERVICE,INDEXWORKERSERVICE
HOPE MY POST WILL DO SOME HELP TO YOU :victory:
testing with Z2. seems to be working .. will stay more time for testing

Is native SIP working on your Moto Z?

I installed LineageOS on my Moto Z, but native SIP (set up through accounts in the phone app) calls do not work. When calling through a SIP account, I only hear the other side very choppy, so that it's impossible to use.
I have observed this problem with the last 3 weekly builds, but haven't tried any other images.
I wonder if that's a problem of LineageOS or of the Moto Z. Can someone with the stock firmware (or maybe some other custom firmware than LineageOS) confirm that it works correctly?
I just flashed my Moto Z with LineageOS nightly 7/25/17 and have the same problem. I tried Skype, Facebook Messenger and LINE to make voice calls but all this VOIP Apps have the same problem. a very choppy sound.
Someone else has this problem or know abou any solution/workaround?
Thanks

Yes, with the Stock ROM it was working fine....
I recently installed Resurrection Remix 5.8.5 on my Moto Z and was pleased to see that SIP works flawlessly with this ROM. So the issue seems to be related to LinageOS.

Camera causes rebooting - Le Pro 3 Elite x722

Hi guys ! I'm in a big trouble here, i recently bought a Le Pro 3 Elite, but everytime i try use camera the cellphone reboot. What i've already try:
-Using TWRP to wipe System, Internal Storage, Cache, etc
-Installing a new custom rom as PixelExperience and Genesis 26s
Anyway, i have no idea what could be, sometimes my cellphone reboot instantly after use the camera, sometimes takes 3 or 4 minutes. Sometimes it stays in a infinte loop, other times it starts normally.
Ps: Sorry my english.
-First of all you're English is quite good -
Now for your problem...
Look the same thing happened with me in CM 13.0 but I had a more serious issue where camera application would behave like an adware and install all the unnecessary apps and display ads. So my advice to you is uninstall the app using *system app uninstall (root)* and reinstall it. Or just use "OPEN CAM."

According to me just flash TWRP and wipe the dalvik cache and the cache then try again.
another idea can be get a replacement camera and get it replaced (Faulty hardware can be a problem)
---------- Post added at 07:43 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:36 PM ----------
Hi man I just researched alot and found out this info..........
99% a hardware issue. Either the camera module stopped working or a cable is loose. 1% it's a software issue. If you're on a ROM, go back to stock and see if it works.
I've heard of this behaviour with the fingerprint scanner on the x720. It always turns out to be a hardware issue (the scanner stops working). In any case, the phone is easy enough to open up. The only struggle is getting the screen off without breaking it.
You can find replacements on Aliexpress but IDK how good they'll be, and if they're indeed Sony IMX sensors (they could be Omnivision ones).
Damn sure this will help you

Thanks for answer me again. I already wipe dalvik cache and the cache thousands of times, everytime that i try a new rom or restore my system to stock i wipe them. Searching on internet i didn't find a solution.
Nooo mann......
I am 100% sure you're camera is faulty and you will need to replace it. Find a replacement one online. You will have to spend at least 1500 to 2500 Indian currency.

accessibility apps keep resetting

Hi guys
I have an issue where my accessibility apps keep turning themselves off all the time, anyone has experienced anything similar or know why this would be happening??
Screenshot uploaded
I have the same problem with fluid N.G, it worked great for a long time and now keeps turning off few times a day
With 182 I have not seen any issues. Fluid is working perfectly. Had many issues with previous updates.
Sent from my LYA-L29 using Tapatalk
I have the same issue. My Huawei Mate 20 Pro (EMUI 9.0), keep switching off the accessibility service. I have tried a few solutions that I've found on the internet, but it has not helped. I hope someone has a solution. As it is I can't use many of my apps like Universal Copy or Type Machine. Incredible frustrating!
Thank you in advance for any help.
Same issue her cant find a solution yet
---------- Post added at 07:41 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:36 PM ----------
I think I find a solution.
- in battery optimizations change settings to manual an allow all settings
- in optimizations settings dont allow application to battery optimization
- in recent applications lock application so it cant be closed
Anybowdy found solution? Services switches off as soon as running app closes. Every time I close app I have to go in accessibility settings
