Question for H850 users - LG G5 Questions & Answers

I am currently on freedom mobile and would like to know if the phone is compatible with there network can anyone input there IMEI number and tell me if there device can be used on the network? I bought the H830 thinking I could unlock it but no go, will return it tomorrow. If anyone can do this for me I'd greatly appreciate it I don't want to buy another G5 and have it not work. Thanks in advance!

Using Telus Htc Hero Overseas

Hi everyone, if these seem like simple questions please excuse my ignorance, im a bit of a noob in a lot of ways.
I have a Telus HTC Hero which is rooted with custom rom on it. I am going to Australia for a couple of months and would like to be able to just chuck a pre paid sim card in it to use while I am there.
2 Questions, 1st will the phone actually work over there? With the frequencies and what not. and secondly do I need to unlock it and if so how do I go about that.
Thanks in advance for your help
It should work for voice calls and texts. I don't think 3G will work though.
You'll need to go to an unlock shop or buy an unlock code of an eBay seller to use an Australian SIM Card I think.
Thanks!! Can anyone confirm this? Also does that mean data will not work at all?

[Q] Flash L9 Metro PCS to Tmobile?

A friend of mine has tasked me to help him as I have some experience with rooting, unlocking etc from other Android phones. Someone sold him a Metro PCS version of the LG Optimus L9 and he has a family plan on T-Mobile. He wants to give this phone to his daughter. Anyways, Since the phone runs on the T-Mobile network, is it possible to flash the phone so that he can put it on his T-Mobile plan? I have looked through the forums and have not found anything of this nature but I do apologize if I have missed it. It is not necessary to go into great detail for this, I jsut want to know if it is possible and a good place to start if it is possible. Thanks for your time!

The only thing I can assume would work is tp buy an unlock code on ebay or amazon and unlock it. t-mobile blows where I am so I unlocked my phone and am now on att
Sent from a Crackhead Donkey
im sure it would work. i have a rooted tmobile branded L9 using a slightly modified metro rom with a tmo sim. it actually shows metro under about phone/network. it is rooted. so if u havent already tried a puting a tmo sim in it and seeing if it worked then rooting might be your answer.

[Q] HTC One imei

Hello anyone able to help or to give me insight, My imei was blacklisted as this was an error and T-Mobile will not help me in anyway to unblacklist the phone. Does anyone know a way to unblacklist the phone or a workaround to get it to work on T-Mobile carriers? Thanks
You could try xposed's I ME I Çhanger, if you do let me know if it works out

Can i make my LG G5 work on another carrier?

I just got a G5 on Sprint, but theres only one problem. I run on Boost Mobile, does anyone know any ways to get it working on Boost Mobile if possible?
if anyone can help i'd be great because, i need to get this working

g8x: g850QM (usa unlocked) will it work? att or tmobile? will it *jUsT* work!?

hello please help me replace my phone.
hello friends, admittedly my custom rom days are behind me. exciting times participating in xda with windows phone/ nexus 4 and lg g3. however these days i must discuss with you a practical matter:
i must replace my lg v20. i bought and am trying to return soon-to-be-paperweight v50 thinq from sprint. i saw the cheap price, i asked no questions.
this volte thing has me in quite a tizzy. i didnt think i would make such a mistake. volte white-list on att and voodoo-magic on t-mobile.
is it possible to use the g850QM (usa unlocked from what i understand) on att and receive all proper updates? will i be able to switch and use on tmobile? are these lg phones essentially just one-carrier deals? i don't exactly have pixel money but i would prefer that style of universality. with volte it seems we can't even jump around gsm provider anymore!
i have heard happy tales of some xda member using the Qm on att. it is not on the white-list (only shows um version) so if it works on att that would be a plus and might leave option for also functioning with volte on tmobile?
i think i would settle on the phone just running on att. that is how i intend to use it. tmobile would be nice to try switch for cost savings. i worry about traveling to europe and no longer being able to pop in a sim ...
as i understand it the att 850UM will be locked to att with never a hope for tmobile volte. and also the same for the vanilla g8 versions ATT and TMUS also.
i weep at night over this ... who will console me?
please offer up any experience or insights. i beg of you. please. i am poor and can't afford another hundreds $$ blown in the dark.
many thanks.
Check the threads, there's a volte fix thread here. But you have to root and install twrp.
