[Q] Play videos on Xbox 360

I have an xbox 360 and I am trying to play HD videos I have recored with my X10 with 2.1. I know that the video codec is supported but for some reason the mp4 will not play on the xbox. Does anyone know of a solution to convert mp4 to play on the X10. Linux preferred but any solution would help. Thanks
any video converter will work i guess (i use Xilisoft)
alternate solution: get a PS3
I know I need a converter but I already know the video codec is supported. It would be a waste of time and energy to transcode the video if I don't have to. I was looking for help in the direction of using ffmpeg or mencoder to change the audio and the container into something playable on the xbox 360.
if you mean the direction to audioconvert in linux, you'd better go to http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=82806&highlight=audio-convert
does anyone playback their X10 videos on their XBOX 360?

[Q] stream live tv from pc

hi all
I currently have a dvb-s card in my pc for watching satellite tv and would love to stream the tv to my android. found andtv ( which says doesn't support dvbs cards) plus theirs orb but can't get it to find channels on pc. streaming from vlc might work but looking at vlc direct app it doesn't say anything about live tv just audio and video files.
Anything out there that would work that any of you know about?

5.1(+) audio out?

Hi. I notice that when i hook up my xoom to my Onkyo amp, the amp states that the input is 7.1. However audio from mkv files are of course downscaled to stereo by the player (dice player in this case).
Anyone figure out how to get multichannel audio out of the prime now that it seems to be capable of it? I guess it would "simply" be the job of an app to decode audio to something else than stereo...
I'm basing this guesswork on the fact that my xoom makes the amp say stereo when connected...
Try this player: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.mxtech.videoplayer.ad&feature=search_result Use the armv7 codec https://market.android.com/details?id=com.mxtech.ffmpeg.v7_vfpv3d16&feature=search_result and test the sound setup with your mkv file. It should be capable of playing 5.1 or 7.1 surround, but people have had mixed experiences. Please report back your experiences.
Edit: Also test with this demo http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/530/HD-DVD_Demo_1080p_VC-1_DDPlus_5.1.html

[Q] Audio support

Very interested in this phone for my next upgrade. However, using it as a music player will be important to me and most of my music is encoded in AAC format. The official Sony site doesn't list this as being supported by the Xperia S, whereas GSMArena claims that it is.
Does the Xperia S play AAC music files without a problem?
Even if it's not supported by the stock player, you can always use any ffmpeg powered one.
Sent from my LT26i using XDA
I thought as much - thanks for the confirmation. I'd still be curious to know if the stock player does it, though.
I have some AAC music in the m4a format in my phone and the stock music player is compatible with them. It plays and shows the tags/album art without problems.

Hello to everybody! I have an Xperia U and I try to reproduce podcast in m4a format with chapters ( Release yourself by roger sanchez) but all the app I've tried played only audio part, without chapters support.
Anyone can give me a suggestion?
thanks in advice

Deadbeef I think. Try the free version before buying.
Thank you I've just tried but it work only in audio reproduction
After so many apps finally I found one that reproduce mp4 with chapter: RockPlayer Lite.
The only disadvantage is that it cannot work in background!

MIBox 3 - what happened to mp2 audio codecs?

Hi Guys
I have realized that new 8.0 Androit TV version for MiBox3 has excluded mp2 audio codecs...maybe some other codecs, who knows.
Can anyone help me how to restore/upload those codecs, since I have plenty of video using that codec, but I cannot play with few media players. Simply I cannot hear a sound
Any help how to have mp2 audio codecs back to my MiBox 3?
Thx
