Hi Guys
I have realized that new 8.0 Androit TV version for MiBox3 has excluded mp2 audio codecs...maybe some other codecs, who knows.
Can anyone help me how to restore/upload those codecs, since I have plenty of video using that codec, but I cannot play with few media players. Simply I cannot hear a sound
Any help how to have mp2 audio codecs back to my MiBox 3?
Thx

hi,
you need the cinema plugin from the archos homepage. there is a shop where you can download (not free) it.
http://www.archos.com/store/plugsearch.html?prod=archos101g9
(change to your language)
supports hardware acceleration within the native archos video player and is smooth and fast forget sw rendering
with other players. this is the only way to get mpeg + ac3 video and audio in high quality.
if the above link doesnt work try this
https://store.archos.com/plugins.php
Yeah i found this plugin gut i cant buy IT without a credit card
That is a very Bad Situation For me ...
Thanks For ur help

THANKS 10000x
u are right ist 90% working with hardware acceleration
only 1080i stream crashes ... now after a short update 1080i stream works also !!!! best player for streaming better than many players that can purchase
I tried BS Player, DicePlayer and VLC and all no dice (pun intended!). Then I tried MX Player and downloaded the armv7 add-on. Tested streaming over DLNA with Skifta and HW works! At least for video. Very smooth. Audio doesn't work in HW decoder mode but just have to uncheck the box and it'll be SW-decoded (1080p takes a few secs to buffer).
Happy Holidays!
I can confirm this! Installed MX and their ARMv7 add on... HW acceleration works! Audio HW acceleration actually worked for me too!!
What's the difference between ARMv7 and ARMv7 Neon? Also, can someone walk me through getting DTS codecs working with MX player? And lastly, what's the best way to stream media to my N10? I'm installing Skifta now because it was mentioned in the OP, but I want to hear some other opinions.

Probably the audio codec in these videos I tried isn't supported yet.

BubbleUPnP
Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk 2
I downloaded mx player and the armv7 codec and i opened around 20 movies with bubbleupnp, but they always switch to sw decoder (and are unplayable with hw or hw+ decoders)....
What can be the issue?
The armv7 codecs are for SW not HW. Also, the codecs with NEON support will likely be faster.

So you are saying that it's better not to download those at all? Sorry I'm a little confused!
I tried using mx player with the arm7 codec with one of the high resolution videos in the nexus 10 forums, but it runs with lots of lag. However its fine without the arm7 codec. Anyone else having this issue?
All I can say is that I'm using MX Player with ARMv7 Neon codec to stream my TV shows, both 720p and 1080p, and so far it's worked very well. Get a bit of buffering problem (could just be wifi) after 15 mins or so, but goes away quickly.
what audio was your files because i cant get anything to play 1080p with DTS audio, anything with AAC or Dolby Digital was working fine?

Found out that user dylanh333 compiled for different platforms ffmpeg codecs for playing dts audio as well as other codecs. Just follow his instructions on how to get it to work. For the nexus 10 its the neon.

Works great I already tested it out an mxplayer with dts audio works now, thanks to him!
I don't know... installed dylanh333's custom codec and it performed worse than the one from Play Store...

The DTS codec is a software decoder, you can't have a HW DTS decoder.
Hello guyz, I own a sony xperia tablet S and I am streaming HD mkv's from Home NAS, but most videos (both 1080p and 720p) stutter a lot. This can't be a network issue, since my android TV stick (wich is dual core instead of quad core) plays the same files from the same NAS very well (especially the 720p ones).. I play them with MX player (default settings, havent changed anything) through Mizuu..
Does anyone have the same problem?
Thank you

You have the MX player codec for ARM v7 NEON installed right? That might help
Yes i have ARMv7 NEON codec installed (set in Custom codec field)
But still the same stutter..
Do 720p/1080p movies play without problems to you? (network stream)
what should my settings in Decoder Tab (h/w, h/w+, s/w etc.)be in MX Player?
thank you
I use BS player and don't have such issues

I would put it to H/W+. Keep in mind that I have a Tablet S, not an Xperia Tablet S. I haven't tried a network stream before. Do videos run fine from an SD card? 720p runs fine on my tablet through the SD card (class 10 32 GB btw, class 4 is slower, but idk if it would make a difference)
Hi
I'm using the Archos Video Player with the Archos Video All Codecs plug-in. On my Nexus 10, with Lollipop, the Video Player with the all-codecs plugin works fine when playing MKV files with AC3 streams. On the Nexus 9, even after installing the all-codecs plugin, any movie with AC3 refuses to play the audio track.
Anyone facing this issue ? Any idea if it's the Nexus 9 somehow ?
TIA
Just found out I'm having the same issue... Anyone got thus working?
No player I've tried can play AC3...
Edfit: screap that. The all codec pack for archos on the market fixed it...
+1
MX player with customs codec
I play ac3 just fine
Hello to all friends of the forum needs your help. I would like to know if there is a way to play audio files FLAC 24 bit a192 kilohertz without resorting to a external dac. our friend Z2 mounts a chip audio codec wcd9320 that according to the manufacturer's specifications is capable of playing these files at this resolution. Besides, other manufacturers such as LG and Samsung fitted with this IC on their devices indicating a correct fit in playing these files. If I using USB audio player pro in local play mode the file with this resolution are played at 24 bit 96 kilohertz. Do you know if there is any way I can play them natively? Thank you all for the help
AFAIK software support in Z2 is not there, even if Snapdragon 801 DAC is capable of this. Funny part - there is no way to play 44.1 Khz audio file on Z2 without resampling, just use good player like Neutron with good re-sampling algorithms. Sony Z2 only supports 48 Khz audio playback nativelly (that was true for Android 5.1.1).
