Help Uninstall Xposed. - Galaxy S6 Edge Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm from Rooted Marshmallow complete with Xposed Framework that upgraded to Nougat.
Now this is my problem. I am only using stock rom even when I am rooted. I installed Xposed because of Greenify features. Then I got tired with marshmallow and tried nougat.
Long story short I want to uninstall Xposed Framework first before anything Problem is I deleted the Unsintall Zip on my Phone. ( Yea sorry I totally forgot I thought when I flash the Nougat Via Odin it will be formatted and clean too, to my surprise everything is still there.)
I don't care if everything will be erased on my phone i have back ups anyway.
Can I clean install Nougat Using Odin? or any workaround I want a clean Nougat before doing anything else. and I'm kinda lost on my edge since I stop playing on my phone years ago because I have work and all.
Please help me.

HELP!

Just clean flash nougat firmware through odin. Everything will be wiped including xposed/root. After flash boot to recovery and wipe cache/data.

Can I really do that on Odin? what option should I tick? Doesn't seem to have an option to for clean flash? Enlightment me please.
Thank you for responding by the way I am really waiting for a reply since battery on stock without greenify is really worst I charge 3times a day lol. and spent so much battery even without using it.

[Q] Cannot Install new ROM, Status 7 error

So the other day my S3 gave up the ghost, and developed the hard-brick "QHSUSB_DLOAD" error. I have insurance so I was overnighted a new phone, and am sending the old one away. I believe this was related to a long-term power button issue I was having, perhaps a virus, or something. I had not changed anything to the ROM I was using since about October, and the issue just happened now in May.
At any rate, the new S3 I received is an MJB version, Android 4.3, Knox and all that other good stuff. After several failed attempts, I found a method to root this phone and disable Knox. The Warranty Bit is already tripped, so clearly I'm not sending this phone back until it hard bricks as well. I am trying to install the StockMOD ROM that is very popular, however I am being plagued by problem after problem.
I was able to flash a version of CWM Recovery onto my phone, but it was too old and couldn't mount any of the folders. Using ROM Manager, I was able to flash an update to my Recovery, and now it mounts and views all folders properly. However, when I go to install the StockMOD ROM, I continuously get a Status 7 error, something about "expects 5 args, got 3." I wiped the data, cache, and Dalvik, but kept getting this error. So, I had to recover my backup of stock, which didn't go well either. Once my backup was installed, all of my apps kept crashing. Gapps, ROM Manager, everything kept giving me constant FC errors. I had to wipe my data, cache, and Dalvik again and go back to factory default, and reinitialize the phone. Luckily I haven't installed anything of importance on here yet.
A quick search through here states that I need to use TWRP as my Recovery. I've flashed TWRP several times, first using the 2.6... version and then the most recent 2.7.0.0 version, and neither of these will mount any of my folders. It just gives me a litany of errors trying to mount the various locations. I've done Fix Permissions and everything else, TWRP will just NOT mount anything. Other folks say I need the latest PhilZ Recovery. I've downloaded the latest PhilZ Touch 6 and flashed it via Odin. It is giving me the same errors as regular CWM, Status 7, "expecting 5 args, got 3."
I don't know what else to do. My S3 that ran Android 4.0 was so much easier. I had that thing rooted and running a TW based ROM with Nova launcher in about 30 minutes. This phone has been a disaster since I turned it on. I'm just trying to get a 4.3 TW based ROM. I like the Samsung Camera, Calendar, Clock, Messaging, and Contacts apps far better than AOSP versions. But I also want much more customization to my notification drawer toggles. Stock TW doesn't have the toggles I use frequently like the data toggle as well as the torch toggle.
I don't know what I'm doing wrong, because unlike a lot of folks out there, once I find a ROM I like, I stick with it. I'm not constantly updating, changing, or searching for the newest version of Android. There's nothing wrong with that, it just isn't my cup of tea. So does anyone know what I need to do? At this point, I'm about to just give up and use Nova over top of rooted stock TW and call it a day.
Thanks!
Have you tried to go back stock rom using Odin ? I think it might resolve your recovery problem

Everything is stock except the recovery. I'm using CWM 6.0.4.7 with PhilZ Touch 6. I'm still using the stock TW 4.3 ROM that shipped with the phone. The only exception is that I'm rooted now.
I suggest you to go back to a 4.1 official stock rom with odin to be sure to have no more issue.
This can help you : http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/general/restore-to-stock-rom-galaxy-s3-i9300-t2187081
Also, don't forget to backup your apps with titanium backup and all your sms :good:

Unfortunately, I've heard that it is not possible to revert to anything prior to 4.3 once a phone comes factory installed with 4.3, due to all of the security enhancements and etc. My kernel, modem, and baseband are all factory stock 4.3 MJB. Everyone else on the boards, under various other topics, warn of immediate and sudden death to the phone if you attempt to install a baseband prior to 4.3 MJB.
I'm very surprised to hear that, because recently i've flash stock 4.3 rom and then go back to 4.1.2 to flash a 4.4 rom without any issue and i've got nothing for issues.
Maybe it depends on which country you are ( i'm from France ) ? For what i know , there is a VERY little chance that this downgrade cause dammage to your phone

I'm in the USA. The security features on the I747 US version are far different. I don't know how everyone else is succeeding. I am completely lost.
You are in the wrong forum, anything you try from here will hard brick your phone.

Sorry to tell you that, but what you say is not completely true.
Yes, there is a lot of people that rush to give an answer to the question, but there is also people that really like to help people that are in trouble :good:
Please, don't take most of the case for a generality

Yes, i've read this, i know that, that's why i talk about the difference between country, different phone model
My apologies. Thought this was the 747 board. Go ahead and lock this, I'll repost in the correct forum.
Tried TWRP?

Was rooted, OTA installed, now dies very fast.

I have a friends S4 here that I rooted for them a while back and installed Xposes + Wanam to make their locked bootloader device a bit more useful. It worked perfectly for many months.
Recently they come back to me to tell me their phone dies very quickly when it is not in use and does get pretty warm. Battery panel shows that Android OS is using majority of percentage and not any more detailed. I realized that it was definitely OTA updated and that Xposed stated that modules were no longer installed nor did Superuser have root. I realized I made a mistake and forgot to disable OTA services.
What I have done so far: Re-rooted by flashing old kernel, flashed back to new kernel. Reinstalled Xposed modules and things SEEM to be perfectly fine. Two days later, the same thing is still happening. Android OS is definitely still hogging the CPU doing something in a loop.
I understand that a possible factory wipe from recovery MAY fix this issue unless System files are messed up and needing to use Odin to restore BUT I figure it'd be a great idea to come here and see if there's a quick fix that may be possible that could also help other readers that have run into the issue of accidentally receiving OTA while rooted.
Thanks for reading.

You could downgrade back to nc5 by flashing the tar file. Nc5 tends to be more stable and battery life is decent. I tried running nk1 for awhile, running into the same issues. I went back to nc5 running echoerom v39.1

Nexus 9 freezing constantly after Nougat update

Hey, guys. Searched around this forum for this topic but didn't see anything, apologize if it's a duplicate.
Basically my tablet has been freezing constantly since the nougat update. It wasn't happening all that often to begin with but over time it turned into something like once a day to a few times a day. It doesn't follow any usage patterns as far as I can tell (i.e. I use chrome mostly but if I'm on something like one of the regular google apps it might still happen). Once it freezes I have to force shutdown via power button. Every now and then it will freeze and restart itself without my having to force shutdown.
It's stock ROM, with virtually stock apps (dropbox is the only downloaded app). I read about some solutions which I've already tried, and so I wiped the cache, did a factory reset, have about 5gb free storage space, and the issues are still the same.
Any suggestions? Thanks

YAY!!! someone else!
Can you try something for me. Flash this kernel FIRE-ICE N K10.5.3 (K10.5.4 seems to be having problems ATM)
i think your problem will be fixed.... please let me know! :highfive:
Hi, thanks for replying. I absolutely can do that but I literally have no experience flashing kernels. I assume it's same as flashing a rom but If you could provide some instructions for me I'd appreciate that. It's been a long time since I've even done that and I'd want to make sure I don't screw anything up.

Question did you unlock your bootloader?
honestly i don't remember. some time ago my n9 got stuck in some weird bootloop. i had to run the RUU (i think that's what it was) to restore everything back to completely normal. so if me having to do that meant i unlocked the bootloader then yes i did. if not, then i wouldn't have done it.

What ROM do you have on the phone? if it's the DU then I've only seen the SU lag when I first flash and open the settings, other than that it works OK, if you are planing to flash the ROM again then the link you provided is not the latest and has the bug that the camera doesn't work, I know because I flashed it before noticing that it wasn't the latest version and the camera doesn't work (logcat reads something like the "there is no such device" for the camera) if you have the latest ROM installed then don't flash this one and try and re-install Superuser from the Market. I've been looking everywhere and it seems that the Dirty Unicorns ROMS for this phone are gone except the one you found. If you already flashed the ROM you linked and it still doesn't "work" then you need to do a clean install by wiping your System and Data Partitions before flashing the ROM and try again.

Depending on what process you did to remove root it could be different on how to restore it, have you tried this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2314771

If you have Dirty Unicorns 10.6 with the working camera, can you share a nandriod backup of the system partition? I would like to try and flash it to my phone and see if I can fix the root issue and let you know if it worked and at the same time get my phone back on the latest version.

I just checked the version it says i have official 10.1 with the android version being 6.0.1 so its not the newest... But i see if i can get a backup of it if you still want that? Have too free up some space first. That's the ony thing i hate about this phone is the space it has... lol Still a great performing phone and good looking tho.

My camera just doesn't work with 10.1. Acording to the logcat it has an error stating "no such device"
Hmm yea my camera always worked...
Also i just got root working. I tried kingroot and it made it up too 70 something and than said root failed than everything got laggy and frozen after that.. So i hard shut down and booted it up and rooted apps requests for root which is king root and they work So it seems like root is back working even tho it said failed lol...
But man i wish there was more updates like too 7.0 or 8... This phone can easy support it... The hardware is still good and even up with some of the new phones today that can get newer firmware's... Heck the ones i see that can do 7 ony has 1gb of ram.... Maybe people just dont like it being limited too 16gb.. Which i do understand that.
Also how much space do you have left on your phone? On mine i have 10.61gb used out of 11.44gbs..... apps ony take 2.38gbs images 59mbs and other is 117mbs. were did the other go?
I have always had this issue.

I asked the OP of the ROM and he mentioned to me that the site took down the files for the DNA and that he didn't keep any copies. So it will be quite hard unless someone that installed the latest version kept a copy somewhere and shares it. I had the latest copy a few months ago, if I knew the were going to take it down I wold have made a copy on my Mega folder, but I didn't :crying:

Data Encryption Unsuccessful (On Both Rooted & Stock Non-Rooted) ROM

I'm so lost and confused over this since yesterday...
so 2 days ago my phone started lagging and hanging and freezing until i realized i have got this issue with data encryption
i have a rooted sony z2 with TWRP Custom recovery
first i didn't know it was with data encryption failure so i literally factory reset and installed all my apps and data again and again!!!
On both rooted and non rooted rom ....
after every time my phone started to lag !!
after one whole day of trying everything i finally realized its actually with the data encryption and i should change my ex4 to something else... so here again i wiped the phone and changed to ex3 and installed and all my data and apps all over again
but after a couple hours...same problem again.....
im literally so tired of not knowing what to do ! my head hurts so much due this ugh....
Please help me get rid of this issue thanks ...!
Hey, i would flash the full stock rom without root and twrp and look. I think it is a problem with the twrp recovery.
On my V30 with Oreo we should flash a zip that disable data encryption after some modification in Recovery.
Just try for a week the full stock rom.

Well i have already tried using the stock ROM without any root or recovery !!
and its still the same
however im not sure whats the zip file u r talking about and where i can get it for my Sony z2 D6502...
By the way i just thought it might be another reason that my device is lagging so much after installing like 30/40 apps.
i have overclocked my CPU with root and even after flashing the stock rom i feel like CPU settings hasn't been reset? is it possible?
its always on end MAX and less Min value on both stock/pre root rom my CPU gets very hot on TWRP specially, its more than 70Celcious so i thought maybe its a hardware issue and my CPU is overheating bcuz its old or something... and i should prolly change my CPU ?
i really don't understand whats wrong with my phone and im so confused about what to do
I had here a Z1 and Z2 both was my previous phones.
I didnt experienced such problems except i backup or restore anything in TWRP.
My questions for you are:
On which Version are you now?
What do you done exactly before the problem starts?
Get a Monitor App from Playstore and look what cause this high load. Or you take a look in the Developers Option for this.
We got here a not tasty problem, maybe you backup your whole data and reset all to stock and don't install any apps, after a while installing step by step your apps.

I dont think if its even about TWRP because i even installed the stock rom with Flashtool and started installing my apps one by one and after a couple hrs device started lagging and freezing and odd how Wifi gets soooo slow ! (like everything gets slow in it) and also when i reboot the phone it oddly takes long time on boot menu to load .
im not sure if i did anything to cause it tbh...
it just happened on a normal day...
it gets soooo slow and leaves no other way for me but factory reset option...
i have the latest rom 23.5.A.1.291
the only time i can get it temporary fixed is when i backup the rom on TWRP and factory reset the Rom and Restore it back!
and everything is working fast and fine again only for like 6 or less hours...
and while data is restoring TWRP shows the CPU Temp on +80C !! Is this normal?
Btw i have a unlocked bootloader.
do u have any idea what i should do?
Yes i do! You need a structure by fixing a problem, my plan is:
You must explorer the problem why your phone get so laggy.
Perform a factory reset and use your phone for 1 Day with this stock setup. (Dont restore your old apps or data)
Look often into the Task Manager to show what cause the cpu load.
