Dear all,
hoping you can help me I would like to ask you, if you know how to change Android´s behaviour to identify itself against websites or the Exchange server ?
I don´t want to let anybody on the server side know, what device I do have/use.
Anybody an idea how to let my Android phone look like e.g. an Microsoft device to the exchange server ?
Thx,
Tequila
I am not sure I got what you're asking for...
I suppose you mean how to change the useragent, that is the string which tells the webserver who you are or, at least, what kind of browser you're using.
If you use opera mobile and turn the useragent into "desktop" the php code will drive you to the desktop version of the webpage, instead of the mobile one.
But still you'll be identified as one who's surfing the net with an android phone.
If you really want to turn yourself into something else and let the webserver believe that you're on windows explore or firefox for desktop or whatever you like, it's just a little bit more difficult.
You just have to write, instead of the URL,
opera: config
then you'll get a config-mask and look for
User Agent
tap on it a fill the "Spoof UserAgent ID" with the appropriate string, that you can easily find via a google search.
Norwegian TV/Internet provider have made this app for customors to use on their home wi-fi to watch all the TV content on their phones, but there are no support for Android TV and developers/customer service does not respond with anything usefull or future plans on updates coming to the app,
my question is this, is it possible for me or anyone else to use a decompiler or something to remove the tutorialscreen that pops up when you open the app for the first time, after those slides the app would work with just navigational buttons but it requires touchscreen input to complete so none of the devices i connect to my Shield Android TV works.
or change the layout/api to the LEANBACK supported one ?
Apk. file (Free on market but most likly only in Norway)

On Samsung's old TV OS is was rather easy to manually backup apps from the TV. Once you'd the app on your PC, you could manually sideload the apps back to the tv. In the end, this would allow users to combine apps from different regions (say Hulu from the US and the BBC iPlayer from the UK) on the same TV set.
Is this still possible somehow on the Tizen-based TVs?
Can you manually download an "official" app" from your tv and push it back to the same or another Tizen TV using the developer account?
Anyone managed to do this? Or got access to a rooted Tizen tv?
Anyone? Still looking to do this...

It *should* be possible.
If you have a USB port on your TV, a USB-A to USB-A cable should work. Plug one end in to your computer and the other in to the TV. Fire up sdb and see if it gets picked up by the computer.
I don't have a tizen tv, so I can't test myself, but it should be similar to other tizen devices

I would be curious to what can be done on these. I recently upgraded from an older TV to a Samsung with Tizen. I already see a forced "sponsored" app that shows on left of the screen when I press home and the Sling TV App doesn't seem to recognize the AirTV feature of Sling.

Can anyone help me with this ? I want to set up a bluetooth printer to print whenever a certain web page is updated.
Basicly whenever my android is switched on i want breaking news coming out my printer. I plan on using a thermal printer.
But how do i automate this ?
Any solution ? I came across similar using a raspberry pi but i want to use android instead of pi.
Or, is anyone able to write a simple app where the end user inputs the url, how often to check for updates and the app sends the page straight to the printer as text ?
Does the nearby share function works on the Chinese version of the Find N? I don't have the neabu share icon of the setting tab only the Oppo share but still I can't seem to transfer files between android phones, it will never detect the receiver, anyone else as the same experience?
