How could you see in the photo my problem is a burned component. The solution has been to buy a used one cheaply pre-owned with a blow.

It's the cheaper one you'll ever find, i haven't tested it myself so i can't be sure about the quality of the item, but everything i've ordered from dealextreme has arrived to me ok.

Chassi parts to buy?

Hello, i need to find a chassi replacement for my s3 since i broke my current one, the metallic frame around the device is broken and i would like to replace it, is there any web shop where i can get one?
Apparently my warranty doesn't cover this type of hardware replacements but it's apparently ok if i change it my self if i can do it "without notice" (weird according to me) so i figured i would give it a go. I have disassembled the device before to fasten the antenna that got lose in some way, so i know what i am doing.
About the damage, i kind of dropped it from a height of 12 meters and only the metal got damaged! Some kind of miracle just happened to me
Everything is working just fine except that the metal is broken, so back to the question, where can i get that part? :fingers-crossed:
[EDIT]
Url would be good, Thanks!

LG service centers probably will replace the entire watch. LCD only, if available, maybe from eBay or AliExpress.

Z2 Display nearly black respectively very dark

Hello folks,
after I bricked my Z2 LCD Display, Backcover and Bezel I replaced it twice by used parts from a smartphone dealer. Twice everything worked well except for the displays brightness. It is neary black, only visible under strong light irradiation. That lead me to a problem with the logic board or did I have had bad luck two times? Even if it showed crap, the bricked Display shined much brighter.
Any hints or experiences with that problem?
Regards,
-loepen09
Hi Loepen09,
I had the same Problem with my first Z2.
Everything worked without problems and suddenly during browsing or something the display got very very dark like in your description. Only under bright light it was possible to handle with the phone...
I've sent it to a repair Shop in Germany, they have replaced the display with backlight twice but no luck..
He said the the Problem was on the logical Board of the phone, something with the backlight Hardware. But instead of buying a new logical Board I bought a new Z2 and sold the old
Wish you good luck!
Best Regards!
Andreas

Hi @loepen09
It is the LCD Illumination Fusible on the Mother board. there is plenty of threads on XDA talking about this one and it can be shorted and bypassed, it could have been blowed out because of the new LCD electrical parameters that differs from brand to another. Z2 comes with different brands LCD From factory.

Thanks a lot. As I don't have the right tools to bypass the fuse I'd prefer to buy a new Motherboard. Did I understand you right, that the same problem may occur with a new motherboard depending on the LCD brand?

bro, do not waste your money for a new mother board. it is a very easy 5 minutes job. you just need a soldering iron. you can take it to mobile or electronic repair shop and they will do the job for you.
You need to be sure that the problem is with this fusible before buying a new mother board. bypassing the fuse wont do any harm to your phone it just helps you to 100% identify the problem.

Well, I called a few electronic repair shops but they all worry about guarantee. As far as I read about it, I have to remove the fuse and bypass it with solder, right?

yes right,
you can test it with a small jumper before soldering and see if the LCD Light illuminate or no. i don't know if you can manage to connect the battery and display and be able to test with the jumper, i think you need some one to help you with holding the mother board in the right position
If you are willing to buy a new motherboard than you can try and you don't have to worry on the Warranty issue electronic shops are talking about
What kind of jumper are we talking about - a simple piece of solder wire?

Lines all over the screen and it flickers

Hello guys, I hope for you expert opinion here. Yesterday I picked up my beloved Note 4 Global version and saw lines all of the screen, and it flickers all the time. It is definitely a hardware issue because the lines can be seen on the boot and in the TWRP. Also if I apply a bit of pressure on the phone on different sides, sometimes you can see the lines changing, ones they diapered for 5 minutes completely. I have dropped it a day before, from my trousers pocket, but it was fine for a while after that...
I bought this phone from www.gearbest.com and I live in Germany. After reading all the reviews about the warranty procedure I decided that I don't want to send it back to gearbest, because in the best case scenario I will get the phone in half a year, in the worst I won't get it at all.
My question is, do you think the fault is in the motherboard or LCD screen itself? I could buy a new LCD for 25 euros and replace it myself.

I know it's not hard, I've done it to other phones as well. The question is if it's the screen, or the motherboard.
Found a screen here, as far as I know, the 4X screen is compatible with Global version.

That is correct, I don't want to buy a new LCD to find out that some controller somewhere on the motherboard is dead.
Actually buying the phone was very easy. Having any kind of service is much harder. And you can't buy this phone in Germany. They don't sell them here.
