Hello everyone,
so i bought a HTC One max from China. it's the 8060 Model (t6_dug) The seller said he unlocked (sim) the phone. so my guess it's originally locked to a chinese carrier. (im not sure)
since there is no option to search for updates on the phone itself, i downloaded this RUU:
0P3PIMG_T6_DUG_K44_SENSE55_MR_HTCCN_CHS_CU_2.12.1402.6_Radio_T1237.31.40.0106_release_363044_signed.zip
will the phone be sim-relocked if i flash this?
i attached some information about my one max.
thanks

I fully converted the TMobile HTC One to Google edition HTC One by changing the Model Id, CID and then flashed google edition firmware. This was a while ago and now I need to sim unlock the phone. I got the unlock code from TMobile but when i try to SIM unlock by inserting an ATT SIM it shows unsuccessful. Do I need to convert back to TMobile firmware in order to SIM unlock?
Anyone SIM unlocked a converted HTC One successfully?

You just need to flash any T-Mobile ROM and then do the sim unlock code .. After that is done you can go back and flash GE firmware.. All you need is the stock sense T-Mobile ROM then go back
Sent from my HTC One using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
i own a verizon htc one which i carrier unlocked to work on any sim.
I have achieved s-off/unlocked bootloader and rooted my phone.
My question is .. Can I use Roms from HTC One thread on my Verizon HTC one. Both the phones have same specifications so they must be compatible right?
Hi guys, since upgrading to a stock ATT M8 (from a rooted ATT M7) on December, I have wanted to do the Lollipop update, but I do not want to risk the phone by rooting it (maybe I could do it on a last case scenario). ATT recently pushed the OTA update to the M8, but mine is unlocked, and I'm currently using it on Claro PR, so when I check for updates it gives me nothing. So here goes my question, can I manually download and push the ATT update from HTC to the M8 (as it is on stock kit kat)? My only doubt is that since it's unlocked, could it brick during the process, or would it be alright? Thanks in advance!

Is it SIM unlocked or unlocked from HTC? Unlocked from HTC means it has no carrier branding/bloatware and can be used on any network, compared to SIM unlocked where its just an AT&T phone with AT&T apps and branding that is SIM unlocked. If its unlocked from HTC you could just use an RUU to update. If its SIM unlocked from AT&T you could use an RUU but I'm unaware if that would then break the SIM unlock.

Sim unlocked (with ATT Bloatware and branding).
So, should I do it?

Do an adb getvar all, and post the model ID, carrier ID, hboot number, main version, and radio numbers.
Do not post your IMEI and serial numbers from the getvar output, as these are private info which should never be posted online.
Also, does it say LOCKED, UNLOCKED or RELOCKED at the top of the bootloader screen? This screen also displays hboot number, radio number, and OS version. But will still need getvar to find CID and MID.

I'm not sure what you mean by that. Can you clarify?
I also buy HTC m8 sw I don't know how to install gapps and how to start google play store and google games
I just bought a brand new HTC One M9. Unfortunately, it's an AT&T model, and I can't update the firmware because I live in the UK. It is running stock AT&T android 5.1, current firmware version is 2.11.502.18. I have S-OFF. I downloaded this RUU: RUU_HIMA_UHL_L50_SENSE70_HTC_Europe_1.32.401.17_Radio_01.01_U11440261_56.02.50306G_2_F_release_429340_signed_2_4.exe from this site: http://www.androidruu.com/?developer=M9
My worry is that, if I flash the RUU, I will be downgrading. Will this be a problem? Is there a more later version of a WWE RUU available elsewhere? Also, I want to remain being S-OFF, so will flashing an RUU return the device to S-ON, or is that only manually possible?

You first log on to ADB powershell, connect the phone in USB DEBUG mode, ensure HTC SYNC is installed and HTC driver is present. After this you change the CID and MID to the EU HTC variant, and then you may proceed to flash this ROM and hopefully find that BAND 40, and the rest of the EU LTE bands work. Let me know if this works. Even I have a spare HTC m9 that I'd like to carry during travel time. So far from T-mobile, to At&t and Rogers works like a charm for me.
