Has anyone successfully rooted or temp rooted Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge + Verizon G928V ?
My phone did accidental factory reset (blame the kid!) and I have been trying to recover my photos. Tried at least 15 different software and even paid for some. No luck. the images recovered are all from after factory reset. I have been told that booting will help recover images. Any inputs experts?
I do not care if I knox is tripped or phone is completely useless after photos are recovered. Any help from experts is greatly appreciated.
adding to above. My android version is 5.1.1.
If there is a strategy to upgrade or downgrade a version and recover pictures...pls let me know.

I have a TMobile Samsung Galaxy S3 since Feb 2013. I had never done any customization to the OS other then regular Software updates by TMobile. Recently my phone was operating very slow. So I took backup of all the photos, documents and music . Still did not help. So a friend suggested to reset the phone to Factory defaults. I followed the steps for doing so . Reset the phone to Factory defaults happened smoothly. But since then the phone won't reboot completely. It gets stuck at the SAMSUNG screen. So I Googled for solution. Various forums asked to reset the phone to Factory defaults again, so did that too > it did not help. Then the next step was to root the phone . I used the rooting method on this website , followed this video tutorial: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3-t-mobile#root
The root process was a PASS > still the phone gets stuck at the reboot screen.

I am trying to root my Samsung Galaxy s6 edge (SM-G925F). I messed up by trying to root my device when i thought i was running 5.1 but i already had 6.1 (yes i know i should have looked better). Now the problem is when i restart my phone its stucked in the loading screen. This device is not rooted.
Does anyone know a way to get my phone up and running? I also cant turn of debug mode because the phone freezes at startup (Yes i really messed up) Well i hope anyone can help me out. Thanks in advanced!

Use Samsung smartswitch To restore ur phone to factory Defaults It will Fix Ur Problem

I need to root my Galaxy S6 Edge so that I am able to fully recover some video files my son accidentally deleted. I have had no luck trying to figure out how to root the G925V - Build # G925VVRS4CPI2. I have not used the phone since the videos were lost. I haven't found anything online showing I can recover the videos without rooting the phone which is worrying me because I also can't find that my build number can be rooted.
Can this phone be rooted?
Can I recover the videos without doing the root process?

So... I followed this guide (https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-s4/how-to/guide-rooting-wifi-version-galaxy-tab-t3841763) and it bricked my Tab S4 version T830XXU3BSF3 (Wifi). I get to the Samsung screen with a custom powered by logo and Set Warranty Bit : Kernal at the top but it wont load any further. I downloaded the latest firmware from sammobile and attempted to flash from Odin. Odin reports all threads completed, but still unable to get past the Samsung screen. Also attempted cache clear and factory reset, nothing worked, can anyone give me some info on how I might be able to resolve this? Or do I just have a fancy paper weight now? Thanks.

Hello everyone,
So I have a Galaxy s6 edge(SM-G925F) and i had it rooted with Odin3.After a while i decided to unroot it with the SuperSU.Months have passed since then and i woke up today and tried to open my phone but it would get stuck on the samsung galaxy screen.I tried to wipe cache but it would never do it nor would it factory reset.
I havent flashed any ROMs.
Any help would be appreciated.
