Hi all,
I am new on this forum; I am from Holland.
I have received yesterday my X829 and I want to update the phone to 023S.
Now it is running on EUI 5.8.016S.
I downloaded several ROMs , Indian and Chinese, and named the file to update.zip and put it in the root folder.
But everyone, I got an error in recovery mode, like "cause: apk not found"...
What do I wrong? Can someone please help me?
I have read some other topics, but I think it are other problems like mine.

What kind of moneymaking is hidden in the shoprom? Someone know's?
Because making a working 99,9% bugless rom isn"t done in some days...

Do you mean Vendor ROM, which is the one come with the mobile?
for me I'm happy with Indian 019s. it works fine, no problems at all, fp response very fast.

Is it a big improvement and Time worth, upgrading from vendor 5.8.016S to Indian 019S or Chinese 023S?

you meant le max 2?
if this your mobile, yes you can update it to any other ROM.
there is no 5.8.017s ROM.

humble query please: new to huawei, got a mate 10 pro in france (c33). i can see on the firmware finder that c432 (europe) has more frequent updates coming up and there are none for c33. so i reckon one wants to be on c432. the question is: can i just flash a c432 rom over c33 without any issues and will the phone then be on c432 ?? many thanks for your patience!

No, you can't. Basically what you need is to rebrand,and you can find 2 alternatives here on this forum, one it's free but a bit complicated, the other is more professional and safe, but it will cost you around 40 euro.(search for FunkyHuawei).

A new update is available on firmwarefinder (but not approved now)
the update is 8.0.0.125 (c33)
I have the same model (c33)
I flash a c432 with firmwarefinder proxy, it work but update is incomplete (phone info stay 115 c33 and no name on many apps)
just waiting... build 115 works great for now

I just bought the XT a few days ago, but after the new russian XT update A.06 the FM radio app is no longer available.
Do you still have the FM radio in your apps? Is there a chance for me to get it back? I really miss it!

It is the same for everyone with the A.06, that is a reason why I haven't updated yet. Attached the FM Radio from the A.05 rom. Maybe you can re-install it. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1nTtC02OandgNsFPvCW27t2VPYax1znBO

Wow, that's really exciting! Why does it work in Russia but not in the EU?
I always thought, EU and Russian Model are the same hardware.
I tried to set region to Russia and reinstall the update A.06 -> still no radio app
5pro user @zorzgeo asked for help with missing radio and that's what realme EU support replied:

As per a survey we found many customer do not use FM feature , and also for save battery power the new version does not have FM, we suggest you to download third party FM app.

Most FM Radio apps need phone to bee rooted and without b/l unlocking they want work.

Radio seems to work in other countries, so I will try to change the region (and SIM cards) before installing the next updates.
My mail to eu-support is still unanswered.
I am changed a couple of a regions with phone rebootting and nothing changed... On my pitty, i have only one SIM which i can't change.

they don't wanna unlock BL and then they can't provide links to download theire fm radion apps. just say go to play store and find a way
there is a lack and there is differences between rm and mi
mi try to give theie custome a bench of apps and solution so they keep away from others roms but rm pushing us forward to get custom roms
Off topic. Just got this phone. So you can't use fm radio unless you use headphones?

Today, I got the update EX_11_C.11, but when I compare that with the version the company states on it's Indian website is different

Oppo don't update their websites. UK still shows A.09 but latest OTA was A.14

They (Oppo) do not have their latest firmware on their websites. In ANY country.
They have old firmware which is not what you are looking for. Am I correct to say you want latest ColorOS7?
I don't know of any website that hosts the latest ones yet

i have had 3 versions of color os 7 by far this one is latest and most stable version cph1919tw_11_ c.27. for the oppo 10 x zoom

to update to lastest version of color os (cph1919tw_11_ c.27) download a free vpn app en set to india and your phone will automatically get the latest software update . notice if your phone start downloading the update u can shut down the vpn. :good:

As this device cannot be successfully rooted, the firmware cannot be captured. Your only options at the moment are to connect via VPN to wherever is ordering ColorOS 7; wait for your territory to release it OR wait until we can root the device and have someone grab the firmware.
Your "fare share of searching" should have revealed those little nuggets of information. Not hard.
It looks like Oppo added new software to its UK site yesterday: https://oppo-uk.custhelp.com/app/software_update_detail/p_name/Reno+10x+Zoom
But this says it's only the April 2020 security patch.

Which suggests the ColorOS7 update will be along very shortly

In the indian version they have the record call, maybe the only way is changing the rom

Looking at amazon.co.uk it seems the UK has a different version to the rest of Europe

I still cannot record calls on my Realme 7. I was able to switch to global region after unlocking the phone, but recording calls is still not working. Does anyone have a working solution?

On my Realme 7 5G - EU Version I was able to unblock call recording, folow this thread

Thank you very much. But I am a bit, well quite, useless when it comes to such things. So, if I may, I have to ask some rather silly questions. Like, where do I download and extract the zip file mentioned in the thread? On my phone or on my laptop? Do I have to connect the phone to the laptop first? Do the two devices have to be connected during the procedure? I probably sound like an absolute idiot, but it is what it is. Nevertheless, thanks again for answering. I really need the call recording option.
