App2SD + Titanium Backup + internal memory

Hi all,
I have been wondering. I have been using Apps2SD for ages and lately I wiped my phone and gave the new SuperHero ROM a go (a nice ROM btw). But, as usual, when restoring apps with Titanium Backup, they ended up in the internal memory. Did I do something wrong? I recall having much more activity (folders, files) on my SD-card as well, but now only few apps make folders (such as FeedR, still does, but very few).
Seeing as low memory on the phone really knocks down performance, I'd like to find out how to change this so everything possible gets to the SD? And keep it like that, when I restore after wipes?
Bonus q : is the internal memory faster than my high performance 8GB flash card?
Cheers!
Regards
check the villainrom wiki, there is a method to check if your apps2sd is working.
Thanks. That lead me further on to the solution.

[Q] Link2SD installed but still get Low Internal Memory??

New here so please tell me if this is in the wrong forum.
I have a Acer Liquid Metal on 2.3.6. I have a custom ROM T&L. It came preinstalled with Link2SD. I like to try lots of apps and this problem seems to be haunting me. I reset my phone on the 26th Dec as it was so annoying. I think I have set up Link2SD correctly. I have a 4gb SD with 1gb as ext2. Please see the screen shots attached.
If I have Link2SD, why do I still have a problem with low internal storage?? I have had to remove some app's but the internal storage always gets lower.
Have I set Link2SD up correctly? How can I resolve this problem?
If you need anything further please let me know.
Thanks,
Matt
I have the same problem
Same issue no one help me... even if i link all my apps still internal memory get low....
Even with Link2SD, a part of apps stay on the main RAM, I think there is no solution to that

Hey all of you are getting confuse, this is the solution and it was already mention but maybe you get confuse... Using link2sd...link all your apps as normal, probably after a couple installations you will get low memory, but how is that possible... well..
Just download ANDROID TERMINAL EMULATOR from Market and install it(you must be ROOTED to use it).
Now just TYPE in Terminal:
su
a2sd cachesdreset
After this your device will reboot and you will get a lot of space on your phone... probably link2sd should add this feature on new version but IF not this will works ( i believe that some info stay on phone and link2sd can't see it but phone will keep showing it even if that is garbage or already move to the 2nd partition on your phone just do does command and that is... after that you will love link2sd and will never go back or use app2sd....
Tested By Me... On my Galaxy Ace

I have the same problem. Is it solved???
Hi Guys,
I own Samsung Galaxy Y Duos S6102. Its internal storage is approximately 180Mb. I have rooted the phone and increased my storage to 1Gb using Link2SD.
Now, i have installed around 25 apps and i link them all using Create Link and checking on all 3 checkboxes. Still, my internal storage is getting low. Now i cannot install any apps as the internal storage has become less than 25Mb
When i see the storage info from Link2SD it shows 650Mb free out of the 1Gb partition that i created.
I tried the solution posted above but could not do it. If it helps please be more descriptive
Thank You

an easy way to gain at least 40 mb of internal storage on this phone:
open dialler, dial *#9900#
and then select 'copy to sd card'
results vary but it did help me to regain about 40 mb the first time i tried it
Use ram booster as well as delete all the cache and try to install mount2sd better than link to sd I hope it will help you

You need to install link2sd plus, which enables app and data files to be moved to sdcad

[Q]Xperia U - Resize Internal Memory

Hey there everyone,
I've got a question that im impatient to know if its possible or not :
The Xperia U has a total of 6GB for personal use. 2GB for apps and 4GB for Data.
Can we trade between those 2 sections ? What i mean is :
Can i configure the phone (somehow) to have 1GB for apps and 5GB for Data ?
For me,2GB for apps is excessive and 4GB for Data is a bit low so tradeing 1GB between them would make it perfectly balanced.
Anyone know if its possible ?o.o

should be possible if the partition can be edited...have been digging on the same doubt for quite a while now....i think it can be done.
Rom manager app has an option for partitioning sd card but never used it

It would be really cool if someone helps out on this.

I tried a few apps like Rom Manager ,andromizer and more but nope, its not gonna work.
I've been reading around tho that people who needed to enlarge the App internal memory ,could do it by repartitioning the Data partition and use a few scripts.
Also there is another solution which is copy the files to /system/app and "Directory Link" them to a false one on the SD card, but thats a pain.
Problem is none of those seem to work ,i tried linking directories but nope wont work. Also repartitioning the Data Partition means formatting the current ROM which i cant really do as i need my phone intact with all the info/apps/config that it has atm,not to mention we dont even know if that would work because all of those reparitioning use SDCard's and its ment to EXPAND/Enlarge the App Internal Memory...not reduce it (which is what we want).
*confused*
Somebody please throw light in here!
@DevSwift @jatinrungta @DroidModderXtreme
Please Help! regarding this
You need a kernel with a partition editor in the ramdisk (the Ace 2 CM10.2 has parted, I'd prefer (also) having gdisk as it isn't limited to creating partitions in order -- that's sufficient on the Samsung, can't say if it could work on the Sony without seeing a partitions dump first), a ROM in zip format (if you want to resize /system too), a computer with ADB and a calculator

You can using partition resizer program posted by munjeni somewhere in forum just note do not touch 1-9 partition just mmcblk0p10 (this one is system, then goes data, cache etc) and after you find what you need, delete them and make new ones.
Not problem really.

This is normal on internal memory of SGS3? This happens on Stok 4.1 roms??

I have a big problem if it is not normal or not, I just installed the rom based on android 4.1 (omega rom), did a full wipe, even format the internal storage was empty now, but for some reason there are 500 mb that are being used by a hidden folder called:'' system data'', which can not be deleted and also missing from Windows Explorer.
Is this normal? I would also like to clarify that the size of this ''folder'' for some reason is growing
And it will grow with any apk you'll install.

Thanks for the comment, then it is normal that in the phone's internal memory truth (which supposedly is 16GB)?
I do not understand is why they are there if i format the internal memory from recovery.
UP, please help me!! apparently this space: ''system data'' increases more and more for every application that installed, this means that applications are installed on internal memory space?
That 500MB is a partition on the sd card for.....you guessed it......system data.....note in the picture you took there is currently nothing in that partition

But if a partition, its size should not be still? because it increases and decreases in size?
Why is it then that partition increases when installing an app? and if uninstall the volume decreases ... assumes that applications are installed in "/ data/app" then that is what takes up space?
updates
any??

It always tells me there is no enough room to store Apps

My Adroid phone was told RAM 8G, but I can only use less than 5GB, and all the datas suming up are less than 1GB, but it always tells it doesn't have enough storage to install new apps. So I tried to move some apps to the memory card with 16GB, but I couldn't make it. Can you help me?

Is it any app or just 1 specific ? ...
I encountered that for 1 specific app ... which was my file manager ... it had root permissions & I made an update .. that screwed it up .
I had to recover a backup of it & disable root permsion so I could update ....
otherwise check this

didnt worked for me ... but it may in your case ... if its not 1 specific app like it was in my case
