The Axon 7 has been out of stock on ZTE's store for a while now and a customer asked when will it be available again. This was their response.
“I see that you are inquiring on if the Axon 7 will be restocked. I will be more than happy to provide you with additional information. As of now, The Axon 7 Ion Gold and Quartz Gray will not be available for sale going forward. It is currently end of life, which means it could become available in the future, but no longer being manufactured at the moment. “

What are your thoughts? Sad to see such a great phone end, but maybe that means a follow up to the Axon 7. Hopefully as good as this

well they simply have 8 in stock
I bought mine from chinese shop Gearbest last month, it is due to arrive this week. It was last batch, they discontinued them too. However there are some axons available on Aliexpress, but they are chinese models, not A2017U or A2017G.

Lol they already made an article out of this
When I got mine, they were no longer on the shelves. The shop had 2 gold and my grey in a cupboard so I'm sure there would be a few around still, waiting out of sight for Chrismas sales. I do think it indicates that they're gearing up for Axon 8 production, or whatever it will be called.

still though, that ZTE rep said they're no longer manufacturing it. Maybe no more replacements either?

Anyway.
Back to the topic.
Yes, I know that but it seems that this is all true and confirmed. But I'm worried about our phones breaking we won't be able to replace them. Some of us still have their warranty like I do. But hopefully we'll see soon a about a new Axon flagship

You only have a 1 year warranty, and there'll probably be stock for replacements for some time, so don't worry much

They give 1 year of standard warranty + Axon VIP service. That VIP warranty says that they give you 1 year more after the 1 year warranty expires. Also a screen repair within 6 months of the purchase.
I bought mine in Thailand on a brick-and-mortar store and they gave me 1 yr + the VIP thingy. Don't care about the warranty at all cause I live in Argentina, the wonderful place where phones cost twice or thrice the price.

maybe. in europe, they give you 2 years of standard warranty + 1 additional year of ZTE vip warranty. indeed you can break the screen in first 6 months, and additionally, they will repair your phone after 1 liquid damage - in this case you have entire 3 years for that.
here in poland it was expensive too. i paid 2200pln (which is 600+ dollars) in january.

Six months ago the Axon 7 was sold for 230€ in Germany. :silly:
But nowadays it is sold under 190€ from big Chinese online shops at special events.

Hi guys,
I'm looking for a cheap deal for the phone for Christmas. After checking the usual mobile network deals I'm not convinced to pay £38/ month for 2 years.
Instead I saw new phones on ebay for £370 from a trusted seller.
Phones come from "outside UK" warehouse(I'm located in the UK) with 2 pin plug. I wonder if these are dodgy deals, or worth trying it?
The seller itself is providing the warranty for one year and they have very good feedback.
Here is one : LINK
I simply could not find a cheaper one around. DO you think I could go ahead with the buy?

e_cell has absolutely no warranty on the phone. I asked them previously and here is the answer:
"Dear soniboy84,
We appreciated your email and thank you for showing interest with our item.
Please be advised that this item is sold without warranty, express or implied. Should you want to avail of a warranty for your item, you may purchase one separately from SquareTrade.

Hmmm, I'm probably in the minority here but I'd beware. Their shipping them in from China and for that price I wouldn't be at all surprised if they're clones. They do have good feedback, but I just don't see how they could possibly sell the real article that cheap without it being dodgy. My guess is if you were able to get it on a network, it would get locked soon after. The other reason I think it's unsafe is that the warranty is with themselves, not an official Sony warranty, which basically means there isn't one.
I'd steer clear.

Thanks for the feedback, that's what I'm looking for.
I'm about 50-50% and I need some more either negative or positive feedback about it to decide.
The problem is that the next phone up on ebay is £419 which is quite high :S
I want to stay on 3 network, so most online phone shops(carphone, mobiles, etc) is out

Has anybody heard anything about preordering this in the US market?
I was going to get a Z3 Tablet Compact at the end of this month, but, if the price rumors are true, the Z4 Tablet will have a release price about the same to $50 more than the Z3TC is currently selling for. Why spend full price on a tablet when the next model comes out in a couple/few months for about the same price and has much better specs (or being able to get the current model at a reduced price when this releases)?
I have been searching for the this for the last month. As far as I can tell the US has to wait till July.
Price isnt the decision factor here, you need to consider the size you want. I had the xperia z2 tablet (10 inch screen) and it was too overwhelming, it was heavy and big. Though it was pleasing to the eyes i find it difficult to carry it around. Just few days ago, i sold it and purchased the Z3TC.
in the end, its really your choice, 10 inch tablets are just not for everyone.
Any update?
I just ordered an unlocked one on eBay from Taiwan. Should be in by the middle of the month.

Please let us know when/how it comes in. I saw a few on eBay from Taiwan and was leery about the low feedback count.
Don't waste your time and risk your money on eBay. Expansys is already selling the LTE version for $700 including shipping. For another $35, they'll extend the warranty they provide from six to 18 months. (With their warranty, if Sony USA refuses to cover the device, Expansys will return it to the country from which it came, handle the warranty repair for you, and then return it to the USA once more.)

I got the tablet in yesterday and I love it. The battery and display is fantastic. I took notes on LectureNotes, at full brightness and recorded for 3 and a half hours and still had 75%. My only major issue is the remote play (main reason I got the tablet). It seems that it runs once after the initial setup. If I restart the device it gives me error code 88001003 and exits the app. I think it occurs because the tablet is unlocked. Huge bummer and I'm thinking about returning it and waiting for it to come in the US at the end of the month.
Edit: I removed SuperSU and everything is okay now. Unlocked was not the issue.

2 year warranty as per "European Directive on certain aspects of the sale of consumer goods and associated guarantees (1999/44/EC)" which was enacted in Ireland under SI 11/2003
6 years to claim against a fault as per Statute of Limitations (IE) but if claiming under this you need to be able to argue that the problem was not your fault and not due to reasonable wear and tear.
That should give you some leverage

So I contacted LG UK, gave them my IMEI and they have informed me that they can't help. The device is from Taiwan & specific to Chunghwa Telecom. Obviously the seller on Amazon had this imported.
I've no idea where I stand on this as LG UK say they can't help. I've contacted the seller to see what can be done.
I have a Taiwanese phone with a warranty in Taiwan but I'm located in Ireland & purchased the phone from Amazon UK.

Really weird that English doesn't have a different word for the manufacture warranty and the warranty from the retailer. In German it is "Garantie" for the manufacturer warranty and "Gewährleistung" for the retailer warranty. The legislation you quote is only in regards to the retailer, not the manufacturer. The warranty that people usually talk about is a guarantee from the manufacturer and it usually runs from 1 year to lifetime depending on the goods and has various different exclusions and services. The 24 month warranty you talk about is only really good for 6 months, because in the first 6 months after sale, the retailer has to proof that the damage wasn't there to begin with (which is nearly impossible). However, after 6 months, the proof is on the consumer, you have to proof that the damage didn't result by you (mis)using it, which only usually works if the manufacturer admits that there is a production problem of some kind that results in stuff getting broken during the lifetime of the device. LG has nothing to do with the 24 month warranty given to you by the EU legislation.
i live in Turkey and lg`s technical service is rubbish. My device is still in warranty.i was updating the device from pc suite and something went wrong download mode and recovery has gone.so as operating system was not booting. i sent it to lg service. and after waiting 2 weeks they sent it back. they didnt even touch my device.they say the device was rooted.i used samsung devices before lg and i sent my device to warranty while it is rooted.they repaired it all the time.at the moment i fixed my device by short pinning.but my warranty possibly gone because of opening the screws of the device.I am pretty satisfied with my d802 but if i want to switch to another device i wont pay more money just for useless warranty. They always find something to blame users. These are all money traps

You're right. The legislation applies to the retailer. Legally, guarantees and warranties are usually irrelevant except insofar as they may exceed the relevant statutes. In the real world, moving up the chain of command as far as an email to the chief exec or a 'letter before action' to the retailer will often avoid the need for anything 'legal'. If it ever goes legal then first line magistrates tend to look on cases on a 'common sense' basis rather than being too interested in the legal niceties.
In any case, it's often worth pressing for a repair/replacement if an item fails just outside of any guarantee/warranty period.
I've seen Mexico is one of the best international markets for Moto Z: large choice of models and accessories, 64 GB models, interesting "bundles" and great prices... :fingers-crossed:
So I'm interested in buying it from Mexico (to Italy...), since European 32 GB versions aren't good for my needs...
Problem is that none of the Mexican online shop ship outside Mexico, since of Motorola directives...
If it was US I would have used systems like Viabox, US TO GO, etc. to have it reshipped from a "fake address" to Italy, BUT I was unable to find anything similar from Mexico...
Somebody does have hints for me to find a good solution?
I had the exact same question, and someone pointed me to Parcl. It's pretty much P2P parcel forwarding. There are only 3 forwarders in Mexico right now who will forward to Italy, and none of them has any delivered shipments yet (Parcl is still in beta, so it's pretty new). You have to decide whether you trust Parcl and their registered forwarders. If you do and this works, you can almost purchase anything from anywhere in the world!

I won't, as I was only looking to import because Moto Z & Z Play weren't released in Australia last week. They were just released this week, and I most likely will purchase locally. Price isn't a big issue for me, local warranty is more important.
I won't be too bothered by the fact that the user hasn't logged in to Parcl for a month. After all, it's in beta and those people are ordinary person doing this as a side job. If I were doing the same thing, I won't login as well unless I was notified by the system that there is a potential job waiting.
It's still a risk, just like when airbnb and Uber when they started, and to some lesser extend, even now.

It's no more listed on Liverpool, but even on Amazon.mx prices have changed in these days... from 11,999 to 15,999...
As I have already said, when I'll come back from my trip in Malaysia at mid November I would decide where to buy it.
If I would go for Mexico, your offer by ebay/PayPal will be my first choice... tranquilo amigo! :good::laugh:

yes, it was only for two days, they have something named "venta nocturna" where you can buy using any payment and you have very good discounts. Also, here in mexico we have our "black friday" (buen fin) where for 4 days we have several promos and pretty good deals, from november 13 to 16, you can wait and see if any of the promos are suitable for you and of course, if you want I can sell you via ebay and paypal payment, I have no problem at all. here are the list of all the stores that will have discounts on "el buen fin" http://promociondescuentos.com/el-buen-fin-tiendas-participantes/
PS. I bought mine on Amazon on pre-sale and was $13.000, never saw it at $11,000, and also I had a $500 discount because the day of release.

I have a lot of phones in my history... htc 10, mate 8, note 5, recent and iphone 6 plus. Moto z for me is very sexy phone, motomods is a plus, and i like vanilla android, great battery adding external moto mod battery...
My average points
Htc 10 = 10 (very quality phone, the best sound on phone and the jack por headphones, sense wow)
Mate 8 = 7 (great phone, quality phone, very bad software)
Note 5 = 7 (great balance phone, a lot of garbage apps, need more vanilla android)
Iphone 6 plus = 9 (quality phone no doubt, balanced in every aspect... Ur phone and Apple owns you, think for u)
Moto z = 9.5 (no perfect physical disign and battery size...)
Hi guys,
Anyone knows the best place to purchase V30 in Europe?
I am currently in Bulgaria and the operators here are unlikely to have it in their inventory. :/
I can't purchase from USA because of customs policy.
Thanks!
I find it very troublesome that 2 months after the introduction, Europeans still don't have a v30.

yeah. agree.
ive posted it before. i saw the V30 at IFA in Berlin and wanted to have it from second one.
but now that the pixel 2, mate 10, razr phone, u11+ were shown. there are plenty of other possibilities. maybe not that full of a package but one could go without some features and buy a phone thats actually available
I guess LG does not have the resources right now to do a massive rollout like the big guys from Samsung, Huawei or Apple. :/

yeah probably but sadly so. what i just dont unterstand is why they cant give clear statements. they could have just said something instead of letting potential customers look and wait. i guess most of the people have bought another phone already or will do so soon.
i want that phone so badly, but even for me its hard to wait any longer with now clear statement.
Btw at least a little bit is going on:
https://geizhals.eu/lg-electronics-...c=uk&hloc=eu&v=e&togglecountry=set#filterform
and one can guess an approximate release from the dealers
something around the 20th of November or in around 3 weeks or in 1-3 month. something in between.
In Europe, the LG V30 is not yet available in normal trade.
In Germany, it is available for a week, but only with a contract and exclusive to the provider 1 & 1. Here I ordered my V30 and I got it on Tuesday last week.
The German Media Markt currently calls a delivery time of 10 days. Therefore, it will be in about 2 weeks as a free device to buy.
Then it will certainly be available at Online Stores that deliver to Bulgaria.
Otherwise there is Ebay. Here first dealers offer the Canadian or the Korean model. But here you should first check whether these devices also support the networks of the Bulgarian network operators.
My advice: wait another 2-3 weeks and then order it at an online store of your choice. The link from the previous post to geizhals.eu is a good tip.
I am waiting for now. In the end if I don't get the V30, I will have to go to the next option - Note 8. But this is my plan B.

I know. But that's LGs fault. Because they are not giving proper Etas not even to the dialers.
Closest thing i found was 20.11 from one dealer on Geizhals. Guess from all we know it will be around that time

it's 22.11 and still no word of a clear ETA in Europe.
I wonder if they had some issues with the screens and instead of releasing units with bad screens, they delayed release in markets where the legal warranty is 2 years or more.. to cut back on future expenses with units send back because of such faults
