Hello everyone.
I'm have a Le Max with stock rom 19S (i dont know if it was India or CN), that i updated to stock China-20S (using the "update.zip" method), and then to China-26S from software update. I updated because of network issues on mobile.
Wifi connection works flawless, but mobile network traffic works slow / doesnt work in 3G. In 4G it works ok most of the time (even if slow) if the signal is ok.
I experimented with *#*#4636#*#* menu to do some pings, and see the connection, which goes from -60dBm nearby an antena and -110dBm far from it. The available signal types on pressing the 3dot button are "USA band" & "Band 6", without Euro tags
Used some network/traceroute tools to test the connection and got high times (like 1000ms) for some jumps, and even not jumping sometimes. One of the tools tells me that my MAC is 00:00:00:00:00:00 on the mobile interface inputs (whereas the same tool on a Huawei P8lite gives a real mac value). That's normal on Le Max 2?
Any way to improve mobile traffic on the stock roms? Should i revert to factory on 26S to remove possible old stuff from 19S/20S?
Thanks!

Hello all,
Well stupid me decided to upgrade my Rogers branded Hermes200 (TtYN) to wm6 without knowing everything I needed to. Installed HardSPL and then the HK English rom.
Phone portion works great
After searching and reading, I found the settings for connecting to the Internet for Rogers. Great.
Tried setting up active synce and it gave me the certificate not vailid error.... installed the cert on the new rom and with the h200 hooked up via usb to the computer it syncs up with my exchange server perfectly.
When I disconnect from the PC, direct push stops working....
When I force a send/receive.... it sits at 'connecting...' for a few minutes and if I'm lucking enough to be watching, it comes back with a 'connection error' message on the status bar before it flips back to number of messages in the inbox display...
The one BIG thing (not sure if it is big) is with the original ROM I'd get a 3G connection with serfing the net, doing data transfers, now I get an H connection, not sure if that is the issue, but it is the only thing I can see right now....
Any suggestions?

I can't really comment on the others, but your H vs. 3G issue isn't an issue at all. The fact that your device shows H just means that you have access to Rogers' new Vision network (HSPDA). Cooked ROMs use an H to differentiate HSDPA (3.5 generations technology, faster) from the 3G for UMTS (3rd generation technology, fast but not the fastest). Because HSPDA is an enhancement of UMTS and is built on top of it, a lot of Windows Mobile 5 ROMS (like the stock Rogers ROM) don't differentiate the fact that it's an HSDPA connection, even though it is, and just show a generic "3G". So... rest assured, the H thing is not a bad thing.
Since enabling my vodafone SureSignal femtocell, I'm having trouble getting a GPS lock at home (even out of doors with only low rise buildings around and a clear view of the sky)
Normally this isn't an issue since
a) I know where my house is
b) wifi geolocation under android works fine (and saves power)
but if I'm about to start a long jorney and need satnav, first step is to set the destination before leaving.
My "3UK" phone (so no femtocell -- and awful reception) gets a quick gps lock
Away from home so does my vodafone handset (SGS2) - fw is KJ3 voda official, though I've tried with official, speedmod, siyh kernels - no difference. Furthermore a nexus s experienced the exact same issue.
I believe the cause is the interaction of AGPS with the SS. I do know the SS is registered to the correct postcode -- is this used with AGPS? Also my server is
supl.google.com:7276
Should I be using a vodafone AGPS server insted?
Does the SS play nicely with AGPS?
Thanks
Hi,
my data connection doesn't work.
when I unlock the sim I get cell reception. The data connection icon changes between unconnected wlan and '2g' back and forth and then stopps at the wlan icon. Obviously it struggles to connect and fails.
What can I do? Where are the apn settings?
Version: .80

Release notes :
Mobile data is generally not supported, data is available via Wi-Fi only. However, for instructions on how to enable 3G on devices, please see the following G+ post by Ricardo Salveti.
At the end of the comments Alan Pope says that this thread is 'outdated' and 'shouldn't be used anymore'.
And Tony Espy claims that 'Network Manager should take care of auto-connecting your mobile data connection'.
...
sorry then. i can't set it up either. what really confuses me are the different channels . for example trusty which is ubuntu 14.04 sometimes has less features than the saucy channel (comparing by diferent screenshots i've seen) and i don't even know what proposed and customized means
sorry if this is off topic but how do you have trusty r80 when the last released rivision is 79 (according to my dual boot app)
The trusty-proposed channel contains the 80 image.

this might help out a bit . trusty proposed is now on r100 which should have more features than r80 and according to this it should do fine
edit: i just installed r101 and still can't see anything related to mobile data except the switch.
Same with 105.
Got Vodafone Germany btw.
r106 should be the most stable cause it has passed 402 tests ... doesn't say anything about data though :/
Well, I have a L5 ii e450F.
When I use it with only 2G network, it works normally. Now when I use only 3G or 2G/3G altomatico mode is appearing all the time: Restricted access changed, ai loses all connection to the phone network (the chip) ai symbol in the signal tower is a small red circle type prevented from using this service, I have to unplug and plug the device again. (You know here has 3g usually flawless)
You know, I have done everything already updated the rom for the LG program, already swapped the rom kdz also has some other solution? 2g be using when I'm on the street is the same thing I ta without apparatus. I have wifi at home, in the street more complicated. It has it's version 4.1.2, as I have to downgrade to an older version of android? Because I saw that some other devices gave this error when updating it.

Is anyone facing issue of Random internet drop (both WiFi & LTE) and it doesn't connect until you restart the phone (works everytime) or toggle WiFi/Data (works sometimes)
This keeps happening to me for a long time now and happens across the ROMs as far as i remember. I'm on MiRoom 11.0.5 for now but had same issue on Stock as well as Custom ROMs in past. Persist on Stock kernel as well as custom kernel
Mostly happens on waking device after sometime so i guess radio devices are not waking properly that's why above work around works
In MIUI i already tried toggling battery scenario options (attached) to disabled but no help

If its happened with almost roms which you had tried, so i think its because of the hardware. I dont hope so. Try change ur vendor and firmwares.
I made similar observations with other manufacturer's phones. The following measures could solve those problems:
LTE:
Temporarily try to exclude LTE an change your preferred network mode from 2g/3g/4g to 2g/3g. Network speed should be fine for most tasks.
I have the impression that some network provider limit their lte/4g infrastructure to gain ressources for 5g preparations ...
Wifi:
Applies to 2.4GHz.
Does your router have an option to provide channels 12-13 and is it activated? If so, turn it off and see if there is a change in networking behavior ...
Those channels are not tolerated in some countries and could be insufficiently implemented in the router's or phone's software.
5GHz
If you live near a hospital or a military base try to deactivate the extended channels. They get temporarily automatically deactivated and prioritized for some public or infrastructural institutions ...
Good luck!
