Difference between Default and Normal hibernation? - Greenify

Does anyone know what the difference is, if any, between "Default Hibernation" and "Normal Hibernation"?
I'm using a Samsung Galaxy Note Pro tablet SM-P900 with stock Lollipop 5.0.2, rooted and Xposed.

Same for most devices unless default mode has been changed to shallow, aggressive, etc.

Sorry about my ignorance but where are the settings for these other modes? I'm running Greenify 3.8.8.

Err...under settings. Can also be set by other 'doze Management' apps (not recommending; just noting).

Sorry, I looked everywhere under settings for both versions 3.8.8 and 3.8.9 and I can't find anything related to changing the default values for the hibernation modes. Could this be something related to the Android version? As I noted in the OP I'm running Lollipop 5.0.2.

Sorry, overlooked the reference to Android version.
Shallow hibernation and all doze variants require Android 6+. There are no default hibernation mode settings in the Greenify app on Android 5.1 and below (current as of v3.8.9). However, you *may* be able to set the default hibernation mode to 'deep' via the (at present unreleased) "Island" app. Haven't played with that yet.

[XPOSED] AllRotationsEnable

Hello guys
Today I'm presenting a module for Xposed (V82) that I developed for personal use but that I wish to share with you all.
AllRotationsEnable allow you to use the 180 degrees rotation.
I tested it only with Android 7.0 on MIUI 9, Xiaomi Redmi Note 4x; but it should work on all major Android roms.
Users in comment reports it's fully working with Samsung S7.
It's also on Xposed Official Repo: http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.jacopomii.allrotationsenable
Souce code: https://github.com/jacopotediosi/AllRotationsEnable
Ask if you have some questions/bugs
Works well with Lineage OS 14.1 thanks
I don't know why this could be useful, honestly, but I've tried it to report whether or not it worked on TouchWiz, and it works.
S7 (G930-F) running Android 7.0 with systemless Xposed 89.0 (SDK 24) in Magisk 15.2. Using TGP 1.20.01 (based in stock Samsung ROM) with TGPKernel 5.9.14.

I found this useful because I can use my phone in top-down mode during charge and I don't have to worry about the cable
thanks!but it doesn't work on my Xperia Z3 Tablet with stock 6.0.1 MM.
Has anyone tried this on 7.1.1? I'm on Xperia stock rom. Will give it a go when I get home from work.
Edit: seems to be working fine thanks!
Works on Xperia z2 existenz MM. Thanks
This module requires a newer XposedBridge version (82) and thus cannot be activated?
Galaxy Note 2 4.4.2
Per apps settings?
Thanks for the app!
Any plans for making the setting on a per app basis?
What exactly does it do? Does it enable force auto rotation for all aps+system? I have some apps that won't auto rotate, would this module force them to?
Currently I use the app rotation for that but I'm thinking maybe this is a more lightweigt approach.

Nope, it just enable upside rotation (normally Android has only three rotations).
It doesn't force anything, but I already saw a module that can do it. Search on xposed repo.

I'm using Lightflow Legacy. To get the best performance, install Lightflow Pro, then install Lightflow legacy after, and follow instructions. Working great for me on a Sprint S9+

what's the differences between pro and legacy?
Legacy lacks a few minor features, but works much better with Samsung devices. IIRC, if you install the regular version on a Samsung phone, the app will suggest install the legacy version.

ok, so i will install the pro version, than the legacy and then will i have to launch the legacy ones?
When you install legacy, it will ask you to "disable" the pro version, which it does through the app. You don't have to manually disable it yourself.
You might want to try just installing the legacy version. When I first tried this, a few years ago, that didn't work very well, but I suppose the author might have made some improvements since then.

i installed the app, but now the led doesn't blink anymore with whatsapp notifications, why? have i to disable them in whatsapp and activate them in light flow? And how can I set different led color for normal messages and group messages?
You definitely need to activate it in Lightflow. And if you can set whatsapp to notify with an icon and no LED, that's probably the answer. If not, contact the developer. He is very responsive.

I don't use Whatsapp, so I really can't answer your question. I don't know if it's possible to have a separate color for group vs. normal messages. I suggest you contact the developer of the app and ask him.

[JB][P] AppOpsXposed Re 1.30.6 - Now with EdXposed support!

AppOpsXposed Re is a module for the Xposed framework that restores AppOps functionality on recent Android versions.
"Re" (short for "revised") version got a few updates compared to the original, making it work on newer Androids, like Nougat and Oreo.
Original thread by caspase: AppOpsXposed - AppOps for 4.3+
What is AppOps? What's the difference between AppOps and permissions?
AppOps is a feature that is included in Android starting with JellyBean 4.3. It allows the user to limit an apps functionality, regardless of permissions granted; for example, you can prevent an app from reading your contact list, or accessing your current location. The difference between revoking permissions and using AppOps is that in the latter case, the affected app will not know what happend and, most importantly, will (usually) not crash. In the case of the location, the app will think that the location is currently unavailable. In the case of your contact list, the app will see an empty list.
An important thing to keep in mind is that AppOps was not intended for end-users, so some features do not work as advertised. Limiting "Keep awake" for example has no effect, as this was not implemented by the Android developers.
Compatible with all Android versions from 4.3 'Jelly Bean' to 9.0 'Pie'.

you rock dude. I had to settle for my 2nd favorite rom for my daily driver bc it had no AppOps. Now I'm free!!! when I get time I will flash back and give this a try.
Thanks for sharing!!!!
Hey, thanks for your work (even though I'm still on Nougat).
I have three questions though:
- when I go into an app's persmissions screen the sliders in 1.30.4 turned green when turned on and grey when off. In 1.30.5 they're always grey, can this be modified so they change color depending on how their status is?
-also in an app's permission screen, the name of each permission was differently formated and translated in 1.30.4. Could this be ported over to your version of AppOps?
-the next thing didn't work with 1.30.4 either but maybe it can be fixed (or my phone simply isn't compatible), when I go to designs and change the icons of AppOpsXposed, none of them changes in the phone's settings / app overview screen.
I have some screenshots attached. My phone is the HTC 10 on Nougat, regularly rooted

It's really easy to change, I am experimenting with colors at the moment.
When I was releasing this I prioritized functionality over looks, but it will be done, no worries.

I am aware of that, the labels got messed up when I was porting the code base. I'll see what can be done.

It actually works like the previous version. To see those changes you can either reboot or restart the "UI" process.
To make it work auto-magically a lot more work would be needed, and to be honest, for a single time use feature it's not worth it in my opinion.
It works
But after disabling some ops (permissions) those apps on going notification don't show the notification bar although they're running in the background.
But if i revert it then the notification shows

Any chance blocking apps permission to change system settings?
A language file for translation would be nice
edit:
Now i see modul can block "write system" e.g. it can denin on playstore / service but some apps still
change system ( froce app to run in backround) after install an update.
So if an app has no permission to write system how it can change settings even if i denin playstore & service permisson to change system? ^^^^
This app is broking the item "Fingerprint scanner" in the settings of phone. I get FC when I try to open it. My phone is HTC U11, Adrroid 8.0, ROM LeeDroid.
@Xspeed: 'Add OP_BOOT_COMPLETED' in the hacks menu still doesn't work after checking the box and rebooting, there is no option anywhere to control whether an app can start on boot. I'm running a pure AOSP ROM so there is no Privacy Guard, etc. Is there a workaround/fix for this?
Thanks!
@Xspeed Just curious, what are the chances of this getting updated for Pie?

If you mean EdXposed, you're unfortunately out of luck. This module HEAVILY relies on so called "resource hooks" that EdXposed doesn't support at the moment. Sorry

To be honest I've never heard of AppOpsX. The two applications work completely different under the hood.
There is stuff non-Xposed apps can't do, like adding a shortcut to AppOps on the app details activity.
Regarding your second question, YES!
The fresh new 1.30.6 version supports Android 9.0 Pie and EdXposed.
I managed to make it work by separating resource hooking related stuff to a second module and made it optional for other functionality.
Simple? Absolutely. Clever? Maybe. AppOps? Xposed. Sorry :/

Apps to Adjust Brightness

I have noticed that apps like Tasker and other brightness adjustment apps cannot change my Poco F1's brightness to higher settings compared to the stock MIUI brightness slider.
Do you experience the same issue ? (for those who tried these type of apps)

I thought it was a custom kernel issue as I use Franco Kernel, but it seems like the phone itself. Still looking for a solution.

Then it really could be some security or restriction, argh. I agree it must be disabled, have to find out how. Maybe I'll check with the 3rd party folks, they probably need to know anyway.
Ok, the developer of my favored app to adjust brightness fixed the problem, BFC app.
Now, I hope Macrodroid and Tasker can fix it, it might be the same problem for new Xiaomi phones.

Question Auto expand notifications?

Is there a way to auto expand notifications on the notification shade of the S23U? This is a question that gets asked with every new Samsung phone release since at least the N10 without a satisfactory answer.

Yeah that's what I'm experiencing too
I know what you're looking for but don't think there is a native function for OneUI (or most other phones for that matter)
I recall the only way to do this in the past was a custom ROM or (at the time) it was either xposed or magisk, can't remember.
