Cheap clear view case vs Original Samsung Case - Samsung Galaxy S8 Accessories

Hi Guys,
I didn't realise how to difficult it was to get a tempered screen protector on these edge phones, so I'm thinking of getting a case that covers the screen.
These oem's are approximately 10 times cheaper than the original and seem to do similar functionality with the kview app. Is it possible to get the Samsung clear view screen on these cheap cases? Does any have any experiences or feedback?
Cheers!

I use the original Samsung Clear View case with no screen protection. Build quality is superb. I use my phone all the time, at work (think of ambulance), at home, give it to my kids, dropped it some times - it's still like new, both case and (you guess it) phone.

Using TG makes the phone thicker, better use Samsung Clear View case.
But if you want cheap option, use regular screenguard + backcover that fit with the edge. :good:

do the tabs break? does the case fall off? this looks like the perfect protector case for the phone.
i am debating between that and the full body shield

opinions?
of course i know i will still need a screen protector if i choose the plastic case... not a big deal.
**EDIT**
wait a minute, does the active case cover the touch screen??? if it does then that would be COMPLETELY disappointing... *crosses fingers*
I think the plastic covers the screen...
I don't have one, but looking at the pictures, it certainly looks like the plastic covers the screen. This opinion is further reinforced by the statement: "Conveniently view your calendar and contacts through the crystal-clear protective shell".
This makes the case a non-starter for me!

Well I just e-mailed them and if it leaves the screen open (which if you look really close at the short-angle pics of the front, i really want to believe that the screen is exposed) then this will be my 1st aftermarket case. I will post the email results and (pending a positive response) also my personal opinions of the case once it has shipped.
on a side note I am also buying a 3-pack of stylii, the clear touch crystal, and the USB/car charger. ill post feedback if everything works out!!
did you ever get a reply back? I'm interested - though I'm considering it even if it comes with a plastic cover for the screen - as long as it's easily removable, it's more convenient for me so I can just keep it in my front pocket with no danger for the screen. When I need the touch screen I'll take it off, otherwise with something like xbar and other today page plugins, I would minimize touchscreen neccessity.
Since you mentioned you were considering the invisible shield product, are you worried about the screen cracking? What has been your experience with phones without hard cases such as this. It seems to me many people just prefer it in the front pocket with no case due to the bulkiness.
Other Active cases for different devices have a flip screen for the display. I am curious if this one does as well. To me that would be ideal as it could then be carried in your pocket. My old Jornada 568 was like that and it was very handy.

From what I've seen from surfing around, the company's cases for other devices cover the screen, but look like they're hinged to provide easy access to the screen when needed. Their case for the Dell Axim X50 does this. I think the description that the company is using for this is pretty generic to cover most of their other products. They really should clarify the screen cover thing for this particular device.
I'll be interested in hearing more about this...

[Q] Protective Case Recommendations?

I've read through a lot of the posts regarding cases, and have been considering the Logitech keyboard case, but honestly, the reviews aren't very good for the case as far as securing and protecting the device. I'm mainly concerned about the screen getting cracked or scratched during transit. My pro will spend most of its time on my desk but will have a lot of time in my backpack between classes. At the moment it's sharing space with my Mac Book Air in a soft briefcase-type of thing. I was hoping for something a lot like the Zagg keyboard case I have for my iPad 4. I don't care much about the keyboard since the Zagg pairs nicely with my Pro, and I plan to use the stylus 99% of the time.
Any recommendations or ideas? The Zagg for my iPad is pretty low quality as far as the keyboard is concerned but I've never worried about traveling with my iPad when it's in that case. It's a real beast!
Although I don't have one, my vote goes to the Speck Stylefolio .
1. You say you don't need a keyboard since you already have one that works.
2. Having the flip cover protects the screen while in your bag.
3. The flip cover does not have any magnets which means no interference with S-Pen functionality.
OtterBox. Period. Adds some major weight and size, but if you truly want what you're describing - in regards to the most protection any case out there can offer - then there you have it. It's also $130. Best $130 you'll spend on your nearly $700 tablet. A little steep, but your investment is just a tid-bit steeper, don't you think?
I purchased this one off a recommendation here. It protects it nicely but I will be trimming it around the buttons as it covers them slightly. And annoys the crap out of me.

I do have the Speck Stylefolio, and it provides great overall protection with minimal bulk, and securely holds the Note Pro. Quality materials, worth the cost.
=GO=
You can find iPad Case at www cell-phonecover com.
I have both the Samsung flip cover, which has no bulk and the Samsung Keyboard case. Had the logitech, and it damaged the corner by the spen by chipping the finish off the tab.
The flip cover corners have cracked and kinda fits looser. I only use it if I'm doing a site walk outside for work. Other than that, if it's on your desk most of the time, I would recommend a stand of some sort that doubles as a cover.

Rugged/tough protection case

Has anyone tried any of the cheap tough/tank/rugged cases of ebay or from any of the chinese sites like the ones below? I know they're basically knock offs of more expensive cases, but wanted to see if anyone is using them and if they're decent enough quality. I have a thin clear gel case at the moment which is fine for me as I am generally careful with my devices but fancied the option of having something with more sturdy protection.

Ended up ordering one of these, great fit and quality, feels solid and quick and easy to put on/take off. Delivered really quickly and came with one of those small stylus that clip into the headphone jack and a film screen protector(I didn't fit it), which unfortunately like a lot of them doesn't fit the full screen.

I had two of those cases for my Nexus 5. Came with the same stylus and everything. One of them had the flip cover, but it ended up breaking off.
It's a pretty good case. I generally just use my nexus 5 around the house these days, using those cases, my phone has no visible damage. Though, bear in mind that the Nexus 5 had a lot less glass built into it.

Yea I had the same type for my Galaxy S4, always wanted the one with the flip/door ('Armour view' I think it was called) cover on it but never got it. I had read about the door hinge being a bit fragile and prone to breaking also.
This one for the S7 is great though, really nice sturdy fit and cheap as well. Its not quite as rugged as the ones in the links I look at but its handy as the case can be taken off and put back on quickly if needed, whereas the other ones are really intended to be put on and left on.
you can check my reviews , for now , i love my ottrbox and a cheaper product from amazon

I've got the Artech Little Rock. It's cheap ($29, and a 20% off coupon put it at about $24) and it's as rugged a case as I've ever had. The bezel is a bit hard to snap in, but that only makes it secure the phone that much more

Looking for a GS7 Edge Case with a credit card slot(s)

Hi
I bought a cheap one from Amazon and it's fine except that it's hard plastic and way too slippery. I prefer a normal case and not a wallet case. I bring it to the gym and would like some level of protection if I drop it. I have a screen protector on it currently (not tempered glass). Any recommendations?
You don't like the wallet type, but this case works with full coverage screen protectors and also will protect both edges in case of a drop. Magnet holds it closed and it has a slight horizontal overlap on the exposed edge, which would take the impact. Plus this case would outlive the phone. Good luck with your search!

Since you have already bought one, you should mention which one was it exactly. This way it will avoid others recommending the same.
I would suggest this one
https://www.amazon.com/Spigen-Galaxy-Wallet-Design-Samsung/dp/B01AUR1HF4
Spiegen cases are just TOP although I would never use this one to be so bulky.
BTW if you search Google with the key words "case with credit card holder samsung galaxy s7" you will get lots of results

s7 360 plastic case+screen?

So i bumped into this 360 plastic case.
Samsung Galaxy S7 transparent front & back case cover by Labrador (Clear) https://www.amazon.in/dp/B01M0V4BRO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_6YGOAb21K4A83
Currently I'm using a normal screen guard, not a glass screen protector cause for s7 we don't get the full screen glass. It leaves the sides naked which I find useless.
Also I'm using this sort of armour case, which kinda makes it bulky but has slighty raised corner in the front. (Picture attached)
My question was will this 360 case provide proper protection if it ever falls? I try to be much more careful now, but still. Also how's the touch? Has anyone used such a thing before.
I wanna enjoy the device but keep it safe you know?
Please advice.
I am enjoying mine (well, at least something very similar from eBay) pretty well so far... the thicker (than a regular screen protector) tpu on the front took a little getting used to, but since the phone was new to me I didn't have any other cases to use for it. I am now used to it. While the touch stuff requires a very slightly heavier hand than a bare screen, I have found that I like this case very much, as I now actually have tpu protecting the screen. I have e dropped it three times now on tile, concrete and asphalt with no damage to the phone.
