[Question] Changing Android ID on Oreo. - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is it possible to change Android ID on a Oreo rom?
I use Spotify, and sometimes, I like to switch roms on my device, or just wiping data.
I had to download Spotify playlists everytime I did that, but I found out this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1877068
By backing up Android ID, I would not have to login again on Spotify after restoring it using Titanium.
Then I tried some Oreo custom roms, but it was impossible for me to restore the device ID using Titanium. I would aways reboot and find it didn't change at all. And I've even tried a new random ID, and nothing.
I've tried every hell of apps avaliable on google play or here in the comunity, but still no success.
Any ideas how to change the ID on Oreo?

yes, i am have this same problem with change ID, after reflash rom and change id my bank application wont work without long reautorization
i am try more app but not abble change ID
please help ...

Bumping this. Anyone find a solution for this?

'Google Talk authentication failed' error

I just got my Atrix yesterday, I seem to have the issue where it wont successfully log in to google talk which also means that I cant download apps. I've tried making a new account which also failed to work. Are there any ideas out there for how I could fix it?
Can anybody help me?
I had the same problem and figured out that it was Droid Wall keeping Gtalk from connecting. Make sure Talk can access the network freely.

After cloning a samsung gio s5660 through a CWM backup I started experiencing the same issue. Heres What REALLY happens.
Google authenticates you in their services trought unique "keys" which are automatically generated upon system installation / factory reset, so if you clone your device or install a rom which has these "keys" pre-installed, obviously, your rom will only autheticate you in google servers if your phone is the only one using the service at that given time... Upon failure, your phone assumes to be the one who's wrong, and google servers won't autheticate you until you either tell your phone he is not wrong (by deleting the data from play store, which resets its status and errors) or you change the "keys". SO, what can we learn from this? deleting the play store data IS a temporary solution, and won't solve a thing. Let's delete the duplicated keys shall we?
Navigate with your favourite folder explorer on your android (I use X-plore, you can tell me anything, there's nothing better) to the following directory:
- "(root)/data/data/com.google.android.gsf"
Now you have two real options, either you may delete the all folder, which was the perfect solution for me, since my rom is prepared to re-create it upon phone restart and new keys will be generated, OR, you might want to just delete the contents of app_sslcache inside com.google.android.gsf whish are THE KEYS I HAVE BEEN TALKING ABOUT THIS ALL TIME, YEEEIHHHH and reboot your phone...
Needless to say, take a nandroid backup before you do any of this...
Thank me later
For those who remember me from symbian s60v3 phones, yes, it is me, I'm back, and I've moved to the droid world, it's much better indeed
Let me just say, I have no idea why this thread was moved or resurrected. Whoever did so was about a year and a half too late. Please close/delete this thread.

[Q] How Apps like Appredeem tracks my phone?

Hello everyone,
I want to know how apps for example Appredeem tracks my phone? I installed CyanogenMod 9 on my phone over Android 2.3 (I deleted all information in the device), I used my other Google account, I installed Appredeem from Market and this program still showing my info when I used it with Android 2.3. Maybe Appredeem tracks my IMEI, etc.?
Thanks for answers
UP
It can track IMEI because its unchangeable and its great for tracking purposes or it can use the phones serial number.

Im using miui rom and there its possible to check wich apps does what
for instance if u really dont want facebook to check youre location
u are able to deny facebook the access to locations
or other apps to get connected with youre mesasges or something
Installing a new rom, wiping data/cache etc. usually doesn't wipe the sdcard contents unless you manually delete/format it.
Did you make sure there wasn't any file left?

[Q] Identification in BlueStacks

I am using BlueStacks and I want to exploit an App by making multiple accounts, the problem is that I need to re-install Bluestacks after every account created and this is a pain in the ass , it takes to much time.
I have rooted it and I've been using multiple Device ID changers but it seems that the App still recognizes the App, I've also tried Titanium Back-up
Pro but it's the same result , I've tried the multitool option of reset at factory defaults but its the same result.
How can I fully change the device identity in order to create multiple accounts without reinstalling bluestacks?
Thank you very much.
I found out that I need to change the following Device Identifiers:
Device ID
Android ID
SIM Serial
Device Serial
Subscriber ID

Does rooting change your Android ID?

Hi,
Recently I installed a custom ROM to my ZTE Axon 7, and before that I backed up my apps like LINE on google drive. I could see that it did save some data and the app could see the backup.
But after installing the new OS by unlocking the bootloader, my LINE couldn't see the backup in my google drive. I searched online it says the hidden data on google drive can only be accessed using the app itself. And that this is done by the apps generating IDs using the android ID etc.
So I assume the ID generated by LINE is different now. Is it because Android ID has changed? Does rooting or unlocking can do this?
It's very frustrating not to be able to access this data when it's still there.
Thanks in advance.

Question Can't sign in to any Google account

Hello my dear friends.
I tried everything other custom roms, factory rom, guide from the forum that includes rooting phone and changing hosts file but nothing works
I can't sign in, i installed latest firmware , factory rom, tried diferent roms, recoverys , rooting , editing hosts file but nothign works
Is there any solution ?
From what you write, you must be without an internet connection. It's about the only reason you wouldn't be able to log into your Google account anywhere. As long as the username and password are correct, of course.

Oh, I think I've encountered a similar problem.
A different version of gapps helped.
Android 10 marks the end of Google's official gapps development, and for Android 11, development is in the hands of volunteer developers only.
So there are several different versions of gapps and not all of them work the same and reliably. A lot depends on the age of the version used and sometimes alternative versions (Flame) are recommended.
