Anyone finding the BT volume too low? I'm using Jaybird Runs, and the max volume is substantially lower on the V30 than on my 1+5 with the same headphones. Anyone else find the same?

I've noticed this too. The difference between the V30 and every other phone I've owned is that the BT volume control doesn't change the device's volume but the phone's volume output information.
Try raising the volume on the headseat itself until it's maxed out then use the phone volume (i.e. two separate volumes).
Thanks @Charlie, great advice! That worked. To anyone else with this issue, on the Jaybird Runs you need to use the app to get to the alternate controls to raise volume.

...Seriously?
Nearly every kernel available for your phone, for the last ~6 months at least, has had audio boost already in it. If you're running the stock kernel, you don't have audio boost
I'm running the CM7 kernel. I'm asking to modify it even further.

Pretty sure it's at the max for clarity/volume without causing undue stress to the speaker. Try one of the other kernels in the section that have the audio boost mod and see if that helps, pretty sure they are the same though.
Last resort, call your doctor.

Yep... increasing it anymore is going to make things distorted as all hell, especially if you're using a bluetooth speakerphone/headset...
We could try cranking it higher, but I'm not sure what the threshold for the built-in speaker is, and I'm not inclined to try and find out through trial and error...
It wouldn't be that hard to do, but the values are already at what has been a safe, established setting for over a year at this point... so why change it?

Didn't even specify in the first post what he wanted. Like bobtentpeg, I assumed the same thing.
Maxing the incall volume isn't comfortable on my ears. It even hurts if I hold it too close. Yeah, try the doctor first or use speakerphone and hold the speaker part against your ear?

pay for a hearing aid instead!! ;p
I probably should've indicated that this is a BT issue...
Basically I'm connected to my car unit via BT using the N1 dock. The media/navigation volume is quite loud but the in-call volume is brutally low. I always raise the volume when in a call but when I end the call I nearly blow my speakers because the media volume is so loud!
Maybe something can be written to include a BT check?
I use the N1 dock for calls and the car headunit for media, works well that way and the volume is fine.
My headunit has separate media/phone source modes as well so I can set them up with different volumes, it's only a fairly cheap Sony unit too.

I'd prefer to use the head unit for both but unfortunately my Clarion CZ500 doesn't have 2 settings.
So, do I still need a hearing aid/visit to the doctor?

Hello everybody! I have noticed that the sound that come out of the side speakers on my new rooted Galaxy Tab 10.1 on the maximum level are a little on the weak side. So I was wondering, is there anyway that you can make the volume louder beyond what is set as the max volume? Thanks!
May be your headphones. I've had a similar problem when using BOSE Noise cancelling headphones, the volumn seemed really low especially on a flight, whereas with regular in ear headphones I had no problem and actually had to keep the volumn down!
Hey bro, I think this app from the market works well.
Volume Control+ http://market.android.com/details?id=com.cb.volumePlus
Turn up the media volume all the way.

Hey thanks for the input, but I was asking about the actual built in speakers on the sides of the GT 10.1, not headphones. Thanks anyway!

Turning up the media volume all the way in the app was the same thing as using the volume rockers and putting the volume all the way up. I was actually asking if it was possible if we can go beyond the maximum volume.

It would probably have to baked into the kernel then I'm assuming. My speakers are quite loud. Maybe louder than stock. I'm using Galaxy Task 6.3 with latest pershoot kernel. Hope you figure it out.

Another thing I figured out is get an equalizer app from the market. Like this one :

Turn all frequencies to the Max. Whew now they are earsplitting!
Yes, you have to have pershoot's kernel for Voodoo app to work properly.

Hello! Would you mind telling me how to use the Voodoo app to raise my speaker volume?
Back when I originally got my SGS2 I came across a program that allowed me to basically pump up the volume for my headset output by a rather large amount. I'm fine with the audio through the built in earpiece as well as the back speaker. The volume via a wired headset (not a fan of BT) is very low though.
Anyone care to tell me if they're using anything to achieve this? For the life of me I can't find it...
Maybe volume +?

Sorry! My bad! I didn't understand that volume+ is an actual app!
Yeah it was the Audio Boost program below. I have it set to volume level 86 and it works perfect for what I need.

I don't use headphones much, but I do run a cable from phone to my car stereo. The output volume is about 30% lower than it was with my old Galaxy Note. I am making sure the media volume is cranked to the max on the phone.
I know on the older Gingerbread phones we would use Volume+ to give it a little bump but I don't think any of those work with Jelly Bean.
Has anyone noticed this and found any solution?

You can try adjusting the volume on the MP3 files using MP3 Gain.
I use it to normalize the volume of my MP3s and make them louder.
I am thinking about doing a volume booster app but will it mess with the DAC's?
The DAC won't be active when using the speakers. They only turn on when using wired earphones.

How about the plug sound quality? And does it need quad driver earphones to get all the sound? I heard the to get the most out of it you need a new audio file called MQA.

You can tell the difference even with a cheaper pair of earphones.

I'm wounding if a volume booster app would interfere with the Quad DAC through the headphones jack.
Anyone try a volume booster like goodev. I installed it and it tries to make sound higher then goes back to normal volume. Wonder if there is a limiter on it as my G5 worked with goodev with no issues.
