I have been using Blisspop since early December with frequent [dirty] flashing to latest versions and occasionally get kernel panics or OOM issues causing the phone to go to a Green or Blue screen that only goes away by holding the "Down" volume and hard rebooting it.
I recently wiped my phone completely (apps, data, dalvik, etc) and flashed the latest ROM with (Blisspop 2.0; Build Date Feb. 7, 2015) with hope that the issue I thought was there would be corrected but the issue still persists through the new ROM.
This issue continuously plagues me and mostly get the Green screen with it saying "Apps Watchdog Bite!". This isn't a huge deal from me and I don't ever plug it into a laptop/desktop to debug the issue or find the root cause. I have just attempted to change the OOM Kill and Kernel Panic settings in sysctl.conf in hopes that the phone would just auto reboot instead of hang on the green/blue screen.
Is there any way to disable this debug mode and force the phone to auto-reboot instead? or has anyone experienced this issue on a consistent basis and has an alternative fix?
Thread with ROM and Gapps: http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-lg-g3/development/rom-rating-5-12-18-14-t2977726
I have a h901 and im trying to use latest cyanogenmod 12.1 nightlies. I currently have the unofficial 2-9-16 version and works good but when i update to newest version, screen goes to sleep and never wakes up. I read on original post to change selinux to permissive, i did using selinux changer app and i was able to see it was changed to permissive instead of enforcing but issue still there. Goes to sleep and never wakes up unless i do a battery pull. Does anyone have a solution? Thank you in advance
Seems like issue will be fixed on next build.
Direct questions at the bottom...
I didn't see anything about 18.1 causing issues (still see some about 17 causing bootloops) so I figured I'd start here before reporting a bug with Magisk.
After hitting the Google Pay update (but before finding that thread) I figured it was time to move from Magisk v17.1 to v18.1. Unfortunately patching 20d with the new Magisk Manager v7/v18.1 didn't work. I flashed the patched 20d boot image (adb/fastboot - no TWRP for me) and the phone booted up just fine and I swiped to see that my launcher was working and then the touchscreen stopped responding. The power button continued to function (would bring up off/restart/airplane mode menu). After a few moments the phone 'rebooted' in that the LG logo came up and then I was presented with my start screen again. The phone didn't fully reboot as it didn't go through secure startup, but I did have to enter my passcode to unlock and again my launcher worked for a few seconds before the touchscreen freezing. Between this and a few hard restarts (pressing and holding power and voldown) I was able to start and get into Magisk Manager which prompted me 'Your phone needs some additional setup - do you want to download magisksetup now to finish setup?'* It was only one time as every other time I could not get Magisk Manager to start fast enough to prompt me such that I could accept the 'extra setup' before the touchscreen froze. I later did the whole song and dance after dirtyflashing 20g, rebooting after Android did it's 'upgrading' thing and flashing the patched 20g boot - same touchscreen freezing after a few seconds. (NB: if you need fastboot, press and hold voldown same as if you wanted download mode for LGUP with volup). I had ADB setup & my computer trusted throughout all this and adb would disconnect when the phone did its 'reboot' thing so even grabbing logs is tough.
I ended up writing a custom json file and pointing the update channel in Magisk Manager v6.1.0 (185) at it to get v17.3 (17302) installed which doesn't exhibit the behavior. Stock is fine, but I'm not missing out on root.
*: Only time I've seen this message in person or in other various threads.
1. Has anyone seen the touchscreen becoming completely unresponsive with or without soft bootloops using Magisk or similar? Maybe it's because of RCTD (never experienced it on LG and Sony's RIC I think just rebooted)?
2. Any idea on how to gather logs in this case so I could make a bug report?
I'm starting here as I don't want to blame this on Magisk alone just yet as long as I can't seem to gather logs and I haven't seen this weird half bootloop reported on other phones.
Hi, had the same problem with the touchscreen and Magisk 18.1, all was totally slow, apps needed seconds to respond and so on.
Bootloops never.
My solution: gone back to Magisk 18 and all problems are gone. So it seems, there is a Problem withe Magisk 18.1 and our phone. I have the European H930.

Owh, I thought that it was the gcam. I have been flashing the roms 21w for multiple times and still have the freeze sometimes. A force restart is needed everytime...
I'm experiencing problems with apps and UI freezing when I install magisk on Android 10.
There is no problem whatsoever if I don't install Magisk.
Everything works for a minute after boot, but if I open something after that, it just freezes.
I've had this problem with ArrowOS, so I changed to crDroid. The 8/10 build of it was working perfectly but updating to 21/10 has a problem.
I've attached the log where I try opening Whatsapp but it gets stuck on the splash screen. The log says "notResponding = true".
Who are we?
YAAP is a project founded by Adhitya Mohan (@poad42) and Ido Ben-Hur (@idoybh) with the goal of staying close to AOSP in design goals, offer a clean interface, do as much as original development as possible and avoid becoming a kitchen sink and cherry picked mess.
Bug reporting:
DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab dmesg . (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues.

Finally yaap for op7...
I will take this rom under consideration..as i always like trying new roms on my devic
Update: 29May21:
Notch mask on landscape
FOD now hides when keyboard is opened at lockscreen
Used OP7 build FP and release keys to make Yono app work
Rom link has been updated**
This is the first custom rom (and I tried almost every rom on the OP7 forum) that has NO PROBLEM with 5ghz wifi and, above all, "ok google" working with SCREEN OFF... I don't know how you managed to do it but awesome, very good work!!
I misread the installing instruction and installed it in another way... I flashed it using the orangefox recovery that I found at this link:
[RECOVERY][DUALBOOT][Unified][A10][A11][OOS11]Orangefox-DualBoot-Unified-Reborn[21-03-2021]
Is it possible to get this recovery as an image file which can be used with 'fastboot boot recovery.img'? The reason I am asking is because the official magisk doesn't work if a recovery is installed and I prefer to use the official magisk then...
forum.xda-developers.com
I don't know if it's fault of this installing method or magisk's fault, but I don't pass safetynet and so google pay doesn't work -- no big deal for me anyway
Also, there's a couple of bugs, for example on the AOD the fingerprint icon partially overlaps with the battery percentage; and I cannot find a way to hide the "pill" (I mean the little white bar at the bottom of the screen) -- in fact if in YASP settings -> navigation bar I uncheck "enable navigation bar", the pill disappear but the back gesture doesn't work anymore (while the Home and Multitasking gestures still work)
Overall is a very good rom!! The battery also seems pretty good even if I'm using it for only a few hours

regarding safety net, it'll only fail if magisk is flashed, n magisk hide isn't enabled. Without magisk it should pass safetynet by default.
google hotword detection, the credit goes to yaap team.
I'll check that charge string on aod
There's no option to hide nav bar. You should probably ask yaap team for it

Yes, I don't know why but magiskhide was disabled by default, now I have enabled it and safetynet correctly passes, so google pay now works!! Thank you. I also tested the battery and I can confirm is better than OOS and than every other custom rom I tried.
But I have serious issues with calls... I use the google phone app. Whenever I receive a call I cannot use the volume buttons to adjust volume; swithing between ear speaker and handsfree doesn't work; the proximity sensor doesn't work and if I turn off the screen manually with the power button, if I turn it on again the UI become buggy, often the screen stays black and sometime the phone shuts down by itself and goes to "qualcomm crash dump"... Can you please try if the calls are working correctly for you? Before blaming the rom I would like to ensure that isn't an app I have installed causing these issues

Excellent ROM, only issue I really have is that android 11 will no longer let me insecurely connect to the enterpise WIFI network at work. That is an issue for the IT guys at work....

Nevermind, it was fault of a call recording app "skyvalex", it has a magisk module also. Now i uninstalled it and have no problem with calls
Great ROM, thanks dev.
Only concerns are widevine l1 not present and occasional heating of device.
