sorry all.
This is a pretty retarded question, and I'm already wearing my flame resistant suit but...
Why would you want to use a mouse on the phone? I can sort of understand a PS3 controller for the games, a Wii controller..not much but for games I guess aswell, but I just dont see the use for a mouse other than to say that you can

So I was curious what are the best emulators for the TP?
I have dreams of playing NCAA12 (xbox360/ps3) on my Prime, but I know thats not realistic. But what about a PSP emulator? Or even an xbox/ps2 emulator?
I know about the PSX emulators, just curious if there is anything that can play some newer games...
Not yet...in due time..this still a brand new device with a brand new tegra3 5 core chip which has never been used before. Give it some time for developers n app makers to make the most of it. If you want games, check out the link in my signature
If you want to play some retro PC games (LucasArts etc) can recommend SCUMMVM. Works great.

onlive is the streaming game service right? i think I saw it on pulse before. Im not a fan of non-native apps
I was testing out a some N64 roms today via N64oid & tried Zelda Ocarina Of Time & Super Mario 64. Awesome no lag and smooth.
Also tried SNESoid which is the Super Nintendo version. Fun stuff. All this via a Xbox controller

Onlive by far has the best games playable on Android device. Has the best graphics also. Why? Because you playing actual PC, PS3, n xbox360 games on the prime. You feel just as if you playing those systems. I love it. I need to get a controller though. Touch screen games are limited.

Xbox 360 controller is plug-n-play.
Wireless PS3 SixAxis and DualShock controllers has drivers that require root and some savvy.
I would also use a Xbox360 Controller, its easy to use on Prime and also works on PC without much install problems like PS3.
Try use Splashtop for playing PC games, works very well with Skyrim.
I did not mean how to get a controller to work on the prime. When I tried Onlive I could move around the menu's but the games would not work with the controller.

Go into onlive settings and make sure it shows controller. Also make sure to enable controller in Asus prime settings. Same place where you choose what keyboard you want to use in settings.
nds4droid
has anyone tried the app it runs about as good as it does on my nook color
Nesoid/Nes.Emu
Snes9x EX
GBCoid
Gameboid (GBA)
N64oid/Mupen64Plus AE
FPse (PS1)
Gensoid (Megadrive/Genesis)
MAME4Droid (Arcade)
Sixaxis Controller
I've used all these and they work great. NullDC (Dreamcast) is being converted to work on Android too so look out for that too.
PS2 and Gamecube may not be too far behind but haven't seen much in this regard.
Anyway to make the keyboard a controller?
Then all i need is a mouse.

Sorry for the delay, but it's well worth the money. The controls buttons are great and not obnoxiously clicky like the original "Moga Pocket" and the built in phone clip is sturdy. One review stated that it felt really top heavy with a phone attached, but I have no complaints
As advertised, it works flawlessly with GTA Vice City and NOVA 3, all of my other gaming has been with emulators though. Although it was a little tricky getting it set up with the emulators, once I got it figured out, it was great.
I haven't used it enough to rate the battery life, but it hasn't died yet at about 3 hours of gameplay and I would definitely recommend this as more and more games are being designed with Bluetooth controllers in mind.

Isn't there any lag at all when playing with emulators like fpse?
I haven't tried that one...the emulators I've been running are EPSXE, N64oid, and GBC A.D. The only lag I've run into so far is with Mario Kart 64 and for some reason it only seems to occur on the 3rd lap. I flashed a different kernel and it seemed to cut down on the amount of lag, but didn't eliminate it completely. Other than that, no issues.

I also understand that this is a Note II forum. I'm using a Galaxy Nexus so your Quad Core Tegra 3 may not see the same lag as my Dual Core OMAP.
I tried the original moga controller, and decided that I liked the ps3 controller with six axis app much better than moga.
Can't comment on the new moga controller.

Yes, PS3 controller is Bluetooth, and works great with Note 2. I'm a fan of playing old NES games with an emulator, but modern games with too.
Instructions:
1) Download the app "Sixaxis Controller" from Play store.
2) Open the app, click menu button on phone, select "Help", and follow those instructions.

PS3 controller works without root on games that support it (source)
Recommendation:
A) With Root: Get GameKlip and PS3 controller, no wire needed.
B) No Root: Get GameKlip package that comes with a super small micro USB to mini USB cable. Buy a PS3 controller.
Disclaimer: I'm not affiliated with Sixaxis app or GameKlip, but I use both and like them.

By the way, do the analog sticks and L2 R2 triggers work with those emulators?
Left analog stick works but right analog stick and L2 and R2 do not. The way I have my controller configured I don't use those on emulators anyways so it doesn't bother me.

I confirm : FPse works like a charm with Moga Pro (mode A). :victory:
All buttons works without any configuration. R2, L2, right analog stick, ...
Truly great !
Moga mode for other emulators is not very useful.
With SuperGnes you have the perfect copy of the snes controller. No analog sticks !
But, with HID you can use analog sticks, R3 for the menu, ...
HID mode works great with :
SuperGnes
Mupen64 Plus
Mame4droid Reloaded
My boy!
RetroArch
Max Payne
ShadoGun
R2 & L2 are not recognized with SuperGnes / Mame4droid / My boy / RetroArch / Max Payne
With ShadoGun, you can not assign the Select key to an action.
All 12 buttons works with Mupen64 Plus.:good:
I am very happy with the Moga Pro.

does the op5 support HDMI output?
would an adapter like this work: https://www.amazon.de/Anker-Alumini...1499084828&sr=8-1&keywords=usb-c+hdmi+adapter

will the op5 support displayLink?
Following I'd like to know the answer to this too
There are hdmi related lines in buildprop but im sure the device doesnt support it.
The OnePlus 5 sadly does not support it, it only has USB2.0 and iirc somewhere in the spec sheet on the OnePlus website it's also stated it won't work

OK some bad news.
Just tried my Anker https://www.amazon.co.uk/d/USB-Hubs...d=1499598741&sr=8-2&keywords=anker+usb-c+hdmi
And my Apple USB-C to HDMI https://www.amazon.co.uk/d/50t/Appl...499598762&sr=8-3&keywords=apple+usb-c+to+hdmi
Neither of them even pass through current, which is really really bad, i'm livid as I sometimes play games in work on my monitor when it's really quiet.
So so so bad on Oneplus' part here, this is the first big problem i've had, means you can't stream low latency to your TV using a cable? Wtf would you remove that feature?
Woeful behaviour.
PS: If anyone thinks that wireless streaming is on par with a direct line to your phone for the likes of gaming or even watching movies, you're wrong.

Ok so just added this line to the buildpro in /system
com.qc.hdmi_out=true
This actually allows the power to pass through but does nothing for output, both adapters now allow juice to pass through, i'll keep digging, there must be a way to allow this.

OK so after a little digging i've found that the VESA DisplayPort Alternate Mode may be an option should it be supported? Uses display link
Ok we could use the chromecast which for video is just about ok, but for perfect lip sync and gaming? Forget about it, it's a sub par peripheral which just can't cut it.
I just so happen to have a display link adapter in work so i'll be testing this on Monday. Personally I can't see it but will try.

Predominantly emulators yes, bare in mind what this phone is capable of.
Zelda the Windwaker - Gamecube: 100% speed 30fps as it was on the gamecube, a lot of other gamecube games work as expected too.
Megal Gear on the PSP, again 100% speed, 20fps as it was on the PSP, the vast majority of games work as expected on the one plus.
Bare in mind that this is the first phone (amongst other snap dragon 835 devices) which has been able to accomplish this and for a sense of irony it's the first phone i've owned in many years and i've had a lot which has been incapable of a wired TV out function?
I also run some PC games whilst in work, quake 3, Doom 3, Return to castle wolfenstein, all of which can be used with a keyboard and mouse which connects up perfectly on my HTC 10 via an Anker USB-C hub (which was £40, high grade and now useless!)
All Oneplus has done is followed Googles example by not allowing a TV out connection via a cable, it simply shows how out of touch these companies are with their users, yes sure there aren't a lot of gamers, but if you consider that One plus was spawned by a minority of developers who modded their phones anyway, this for me isn't progressive at all, it's a step back and honestly inexcusable in my eyes.
I'll get by, it's not the end of the world, I just don't understand the removal of a feature like this, it's on board, it has the capability, cost would be nothing? So there is no reason for it and little no to excuse.
PS: I'm also a PC gamer and have been for a long time, I play competitively and it's a similar situation, I have a 225mb connection which is completely stable 24/7 via a LAN cable, sure i could use wireless but I would lose latency and have more packet loss if i did and when you consider that I've paid for high end kit to shave off milliseconds losing all that by using wifi would make no sense, it would mean the difference between losing and winning.
Using a chrome cast for casual gaming like candy crush or puzzlers could possibly be doable, however anything that requires any kind of quick reaction is going to fail as the input lag is so severe, also when streaming to a second device you may incur lip sync issues, something that does not happen using a wired connection.
Obviously worlds apart from PC gaming but the principle is the same.
