Hi,
I bought an Amazfit for almost two weeks and so far i'm very happy with it... saying this I decided to create a simple app that helps me when I'm on Gym.
Basically I use this to count my rest/pause time between reps.

1 - Current time
2 - App start time or reset time (This is useful to know which time we start our training)
3 - Reset all numbers including the rest time list and the start time
4 - Start and Stop the chronometer without clearing it
5 - Chronometer numbers, when click it will start from 0 and send the value to the rest list
6 - Rest list with the numbers of reps made already, it's possible to scroll and it will go automatically to the last value set when is on other position...
Enjoy... Install by your own risk... Don't blame for nothing! It's FREE!
v1.1
BugFix: Start/Stop time wrong...
v1.2
Added confirmation dialog for the reset function...
This looks great, gonna try it out as soon as I get home..
Seems good thanks for sharing
It's awesome, just one small thing I found odd. When I click stop and start afterwards, I would expect it to continue at the time I stopped it. However, it continues running in the background.. is that intentional?

Hi, fixed... install the new apk...Let me know! Regards, Nuno
Another small improvement... today I clicked on the reset button without know and lost my training... I added a confirmation dialog now!
if you're using it for Gym, maybe you can call the intent of one of the indoor activities, like treadmill or elliptical, and control the actual activities as well?
that way you'll have the ability of controlling the times, and when you'll start or stop the activity via the GRC ( Gym Rest Counter ), you'll actually control the watch for the HR monitoring and the activities that will go into the application?
Just need to check the intents names from the watch itself.

Have a way to add an counter for the exercise repeats using the accelerometer?
For an example, if I'm doing an supine, I set to 10 repeats and when it reaches, vibrate the watch.

I will have that in mind next release... anyway think you will have false/positives if you want this...
How to use this app?
Hi, can you explain how to use this app for a basic gym use case, let's say bench press, 4 sets of 10 reps, with 2 minutes of rest between sets?
Thanks!

Is heart rate measurement synchronized? Congratulations on the App!

So I figured with all the DEV's in one spot I would start a thread were people just suggest what apps they would like created. Sorry if this has already been done but I didn't find anything in my searches. So any ideas as to apps that you would like to see? Or apps that you want upgraded with certain features?
Like an app that automagicly imputs what song you are listening to into your text signatures. (Not my suggestion, simply an example.)
I'm sure this will sound odd but, how about something along the lines of whats called an EVPmaker like this
Seeing an app with the basic features of this program, using the Speakjet allophones sound file built in, tying it to the phones voice recorder and forcing it into airplane mode could be an interesting experiment.
I have seen discussions about how you should not be using a cell phone as a "ghost hunting tool" however it's an idea for those times when something goes BUMP in the night and all you have is your phone.

That's my docking station I use d
for my defy. (That's the 1st one that broke on me in the back. She's a good back up battery charger. But as u see I need to have my defy upside down to plug it to the speaker. Which I do but no app can fully rotate my music player completely upside for me. So I don't have to.flip it all the time to read whats on pandora or a text comes in. If I hand any skill/know how I would make that app for myself and share

I was actually thinking of coding an Android app like EVPmaker, but first I have to teach myself Android programming. Meanwhile you can try "ITC Ghost Talker" which is a Flash applet and runs in any (mobile) browser.

i would like to see an alarm app that would allow you to set alarms (not alerts but a full blown alarm) based on calender events because of my college scheduled i have to set 3 alarms for the week and when i have a day off i normally either forget to turn it off a get woken up early on my day off or turn it off and forget to turn it back on. So since my schedule is in my calender it be nice to just set it based on that and not have to worry about turning then alarms off and back on
This is a short guide that I have come up with for all those running DAGr8's The Hybrid RC6.2 ROM that wish to auto hide their tablet toggle bar when launching full screen applications.
What you will need:
1. Tasker
2. The Hybrid Rom with latest update
Getting Started:
Lets start by launching Tasker, and head to the Tasks tab at the top.
1. click the + symbol at the bottom to create a new Task.
2. I called this task TabletToggle, and then hit the green Check mark
3. Now click the + symbol again to add an action.
4. click on App and then Load App
5. Choose the ToggleBar application.
6. now click the Green Check mark to finish the task.
Now to create our FullScreen Profile.
1. head to the Profiles Tab at the top and hit the + symbol again to create a new Profile.
2. lets call this one FullScreen and hit the green check mark.
3. Next choose Application from the list that comes up
4. here you can select all the applications that you want to use in full screen, and hit the green check mark when you are finished.
5. A window of tasks will now appear; choose the TabletToggle task that we created earlier.
you will now see the following profile
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
6. Long click on the TabletToggle and choose Add Exit Task from the list.
7. now choose our TabletToggle again as the exit task.
Now your Full Screen Profile is all setup, and you can click the green check mark again the leave Tasker.
and here is a short video of how this will behave.
Are you using the Tasked app that is $6.49 on the market?
Yep, that's correct. It's such a powerful tool, its worry every penny; especially if you plan on doing anything with NFC as well.

Nice write up. I'm a huge Tasker advocate too and am continually trying to replace apps on my phone with Tasker if possible.

glad its working for ya! I just added my camera and a few more apps to the list this weekend
I love the fact that you can edit your profile whenever, so you can just go in and add any new apps without rewriting it all.
Can someone just upload the profile?

Hi,
I got this watch used, arrived two days ago. I like it so far. Only tweaks done so far is unlock BL.
I want to preserve the battery life as much as possible though, while keeping it usable. So I think there is efficiency to be made by having the watch face stay as a silhouette instead of "waking up" whenever I look at it. To activate the watch, I have no problem with tapping it once or twice.
Does such a tweak exist? I could not find it in settings (only to turn screen off completely when inactive). Any prerequisites for such a tweak (e.g. root)?
Many thanks.
Are you on 5.1.1 (LCA43)? If yes, you can try disabling wrist gestures in watch settings. Of course, you won't be able to move trough cards as well if you disable it, but it will prevent the screen to leave dim mode when you move your wrist.

I tried that before (am on LCA43), but it seems to just disable the scroll. Just tried again, may have made a difference this time. Though it looks like the screen still activates 1 out of the 5 times I put the watch to my face. We shall see. Thanks!
You're correct, my bad! The setting you want is in the Android Wear app: Tilt to wake screen. You may want to keep wrist gestures on.

Found it! The guide I found had the setting on the main page. I had to tap on the actual device listing to get to the sub page with all the goodies (Google probably did it that way so you can program different actions for different watches).
Thanks again!
By the way, one day later with no charge in between. I am proud of this:

We are Ken and Houtan, two developers building a personal trainer AI for wearables. Over the past year we've built out tech that can automatically recognize a user's exercises, like bench presses and squats, if they are wearing an Android Wear smart watch. We are launching the beta program for our app, YouMove, and are inviting members of the XDA community to join. We would love your comments and feedback on what we've done and would be thrilled to hear your suggestions on what we should do next!
Apply for the Beta!
We recently added the ability for the app to learn new user exercises, which we are really excited about!
Other features we are currently testing:
- Automatic, passive recognition of weight training, calisthenics and cardio exercises
- Tracking of exercises, reps, sets, resting times, calorie counts, and intensity
- Detailed display of a user's workout in a timeline on watch and phone
We know the XDA community can provide some great feedback on what we've made so far. Thanks everyone!

This looks really cool! I've been tracking my workouts using Google Sheets for a while now, but if this works, I could totally see it replacing that. I'll let you know more of my thoughts after I sign up for the beta and try it out a bit, but I was just wondering if there is a way to see your progress by exercise type in some place on the app. I've always roughly guessed how I've improved over time at, say, bench press, and I know that I can do it now if I really wanted to, but it'd be really cool to have it readily available on the app.
Looks interesting, may take it for a spin!
Where is the link for download? Also:
1. Will you be having only dark color for the app?
2. Does it support Android Wear independently without the need of the phone?
2.1. Does it support the internal GPS of Sony Smartwatch, for instance?

Current it is a closed beta, so once you apply we will send an email with a link.
1. We are switching to a lighter color UI on the phone. Sticking to a dark color on watch to conserve battery life.
2. Yes, it works on the watch independently of the phone.
3. At this point it doesn't support GPS. Right now we are primarily focused on weight training and calisthenics. But when we do hit cardio, we'll make sure to use GPS on the watch.
I'm interested in trying this out. How's progress on the app?
Link not working
I would love to participate but the link is not working
I would like to apply for the beta but the link is not working.
I mostly go sporting/gym 3 times a week.
Can i get a beta because i was searching for this kinda app ?
Thanks !

After switching from Pebble to Android Wear, I have noticed I kept missing notifications. I did not feel the vibration, but when checking the watch later, missed notifications were there.
It turns out that not only is the vibration motor on my SW3 significantly weaker than on my Pebble, most apps also only vibrate for like one millisecond, making them easy to miss.
While there are already apps that try to mitigate this issue, none of them really satisfied my requirements, so I have decided to make my own.
So what does this app do?
Simply put, after Android Wear finishes its puny barely-noticeable vibration, Vibration Center will kick in and do a good shake to your wrist, making sure you absolutely notice this notification. However:
It will do so intelligently (no useless vibrations for notifications that do not actually appear on the watch)
Vibration pattern is customizable and can be set differently for each app
If you are still afraid of missing notifications, you can enable alarm mode that vibrates restlessly until you dismiss it manually. It even comes with the snooze button.
It comes with plenty of spam filter options, making sure that your wrist is not shaken too much
It comes with on-watch mute feature that can either mute all vibrations for some time (for example when in a meeting or in a theater) or it can mute specific app until you deal with it later (for example if you are in group chat and they are having spammy conversation that would otherwise buzz your wrist every half a second)
There is full tasker integration
It is completely free and open source

matejdro, is there another way to donate or help with your project? I've used a pebble before and I'm glad you provided this app. I can now at least recognize my notifications on the watch. Before, I mostly missed them.
If there's nothing I can do to help, I at least wanted to thank you.

Hello,
Thank you for your app. I can have custom pattern vibrations for all my apps except Outlook.
Outlook just sticks to its default watch pattern.
Any idea?
Thanks
Default pattern will always be there (unless you put the watch into do not disturb). Vibration Center will vibrate in addition to default pattern.
Anyways to change the vibration settings on the Facebook Messenger on the watch. It's the watch out not the actual Facebook message on the phone

Matejdro, is there any way for your app to vibrate when the Bluetooth connection to the phone cuts, like out of range?
Nope, but there are a lot of other apps that do this job well.
Not working on my new doogee s90 pro. First time on android 9.
when launching the app it says the service is not running. When I go to settings > vibration center does have notification access.
I can't understand if I'm doing something wrong but can't make work on my TicWatch 3 pro. On MIUI phone I enable all possible permission and notification access
