Ok, so I just installed TWRP recovery on my fire 7. I have gone through a tutorial to install cm13 and I get an error message saying "E:Error executing updater binary in zip sdcardcm013.0-20160218-UNOFFICIAL-tate.zip"
Any help?
Anyone know?
CM 13 isn’t currently available on the Amazon Fire HD 7. But, it is available on the Kindle Fire HD 7.
You downloaded CM 13 for the Kindle Fire HD 7, not the Fire HD 7 (I know this because your download includes “Tate”, which is the code name for the Kindle Fire HD 7).

How can I install CWM for the Fire HD 7 (4th gen.)? (KFASWI - Fire HD 6 / 7 - Fire OS 5.1.2)
My Fire has no recovery at all (if I try to boot into recovery it boots normally) and I can't boot into fastboot either (it boots normally).
How can I install CWM? If I try to install TWRP I get no TWRP on reboot.
Please help, I want to install Xposed on it!

Just follow this :

Post #2 will get you into TWRP, so you can flash Xposed. Then you'll lose TWRP as you go back into FireOS 5, but can repeat this any time in the future !

That **** called xposed bricked my fire into a bootloop, only after 1 year I could unbrick it using the tutorial from bibi
:fingers-crossed:
As a long-time user, no-time developer on XDA, I appreciate "ClockWorldMod"... sounds like something I would have said in 2010, which really takes me back
FYI ClockWORKMod is the recovery you are referring to, I assume. And TWRP dominates since about 2012 or 2013 (correct me if I'm wrong, I'm no dev), so I certainly back the recommendation to use that tutorial.
My fire hdx 8.9 is unlocked and was installed with cm 13 rom. I wanted to flash the same cm 13 again, so I wiped data. After that, ALL roms I tried to install was ERROR 7.
I heard that this is due to an error recovery, so I tried to install a new one by ADB. However, I installed a wrong thor one, and now I can't use the touch screen even if I install an Apollo one.
To make matter worse, it is also ERROR 7 whatever I try to install. So what should I do? THX a million!

- place device in fastboot mode via <power>+<vol-down>
- connect cable; look for ready prompt on device (if not check drivers)
- grab TWRP build 3.0.0-1 from this thread (that build - NOT the latest)
- use fastboot command in OP of above thread to install TWRP
So today, I decided to root (or at least try) my Kindle Fire 4th gen running fire os 5.4.0.1. Is fire os 5.4.0.1 compatible with Root and Restore? Because whenever I go into fastboot, it sends the files and then says FAILED (remote: the command you input is restricted on locked hw)

You need to sideload FireOS 4.5.3, and then root it with Kingroot.
How would I sideload FireOS 4.5.3?

I have a Thor device that currently run on Android 7.1 - Remix OS and TWRP 3.0.
I want to install Stock FireOS firmware on it. I've tried the TWRP flashable stock images but didn't work for me.
