How to import sim contacts on lineage os based ROM,I have tried to import contacts from sim card but not showing any contacts.
So many custom roms based on nougat don't show sim contacts....two methods are their.
1. you need to sync contact with your email which you are using for login to google account while setup phon on first boot...
2. Flash miui rom then go to sim contact select all and export to the phone memory...it will create contact.vcf file. Save this file in sd card or pc..after flashing lineage os transfer your .vcf file to sd or internal memory. Go to contact and select import you will see option .vcf file..select it...done.
I faced this issue , so I moved to NOS Oreo 8.1 and now sim contacts are shown. Nougat ROMs most of them don't have sim contacts facility.

So, where on the sd card are contacts stored?
I just flashed one of the ics roms, and followed the directions of nuking all my partitions including the sd card(backed it all up first).
Only to realize that my contacts had not synced to google. I'd rather not go through the mess of going back to GB to get them to sync, if i can just get the folder / files onto the sd card to import them.

Hello everybody.
Just installed CM10.1 RC2 for my P760 and experienced two strange errors.
First, I can't import contacts from my SIM. CM repeatedly is of the opinion that the SIM contains no contacts.
Second, I also can't import contacts from my SD card. CM complains about an I/O error.
Needless to say that the SIM as well as the SD card are perfectly okay and everything works fine under stock ROM.
Has anyone else experienced this or has any clues?
Thank you.
Bye.
Dear all,
I just bought a Blu life play. However, I went to contacts --> import/export and I have only the options : copy contacts from:
-phone
-tmobile
-internal storage
How can I import from sim card or at least see them?
thanks
Alberto
Hello!
How can I recover the data I have in my hard bricked HTC One V (from 2012), namely, contacts and unsynced data?
My HTC One V (from 2012) died all of a sudden about 4 days ago. I have tried the Remo Recover for Android and I was able to access some files, but I couldn't find any .vcf files or anything else I could tell would help me restore my contacts information. On HTC.com I read an article saying that contacts are not stored on the SD Card, but the internal memory. With Remo RFA I was able to scan the SD mini card (which had no useful information that I needed as far as I could tell), and a drive Remo identified as a generic drive. I assume this is the phone's internal memory, but I find no .vcf files in that location. I am willing to take the phone to a shop or a hardware expert to recover this information, and I imagine this is the only option left for me.
I'm doing all this because Google has not maintained all of my contacts synced. When I check Google Contacts on my laptop some contacts are missing. They just so happen to be very important contacts from out of town, hard to reach, and some whose names I have forgotten! I only remember them by their face/contact icon. I would also like to have access to the files on the bricked phone for reference.
Your advise is sincerely appreciated,
Chemguy
Hello everyone..
Today I've rooted and changed my room .(to archi)
When I changed the ROM I cleaned all the data from device. In mistaken I backup the contacts on the internal memory instead on the external SD card.. And because of that the contacts are deleted..
Is there any chance to restore the contacts?? I has almost 900 contacts ..
Pliz save me !
Thanks !!
For another times use Google or Samsung backup
Also I don´t think that you don´t see your contacts anymore.
