Just flash CHN N9500 bootloader , that simple.
I tested it and it work without problem with magisk 14.6 .

Go to a Samsung Service Point WITH PROOF of purchase -> they can help you!
Factory Reset Protection (FRP) is to prevent thieves to reset the device and hope they can use it!

If you know the right tools you can basically remove the FRP from any android device, it's an embarresment compared to apple's iCloud lock tbh...

Any task is made easy with the right tools

Hi, I am stuck with the FRP LOCK ON with my Note 8 N9500 HK. I have already tried newest ODIN.
I have followed the above steps and got TWRP to flash MAGISK etc. But when I put my google credential on Google Playstore and did the reboot. After that I got missing TWRP and I'm stuck with FRP LOCK ON.
Firstly, with the Bootloader BL_N9500ZCU2BQL1 on the BL section
Secondly, COMBINATION_FA71_N9500ZCU1AQI4 on the PDA section.
Both method above failed and I got FRP is enabled, not allowed to download non FRP abl binary.
Any suggestions? Thank You.

You can't downgrade from u2. Any firmware or combination you try must be bit 2 like n9500zcu2....

Also FRP bypass talk on xda is not allowed.

Thread closed.
FRP is done for something and we at XDA do not allow discussions to bypass such security systems. Even if it's for good reasons in the end we don't take that risk.

Unlocking Galaxy S2

Hi All,
I am a newbie...I would appreciate if someone could help me.
I am planning to root my phone using following,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1309293&page=3
If I use that root can I use following to unlock?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1289395
much appreciate your help
Rooting and unlocking the phone will not conflict. You can do both.
If you try the rooting method you posted, assuming you are still straight stock, it will not work for you. I suggest you either use the rooting method in the sticky post in the general forum, or if you are concerned about incrementing the flash counter, use the stock + root method posted by Entropy512. See the Guide "How to flash custom binaries..." linked in my signature for that.
creepyncrawly...
what are the disadvantages of incrementing the flash counter? I would like to follow an easy method since I am new to this whole thing....used to be iphone customer for long.
appreciate your help.
There is quite a bit of information in the discussion portion of the first two guides. Some people are very cautious about possibly having their warranty voided, since in the agreement with the carrier, flashing custom binaries voids the warranty. On the other hand, many people are very cavalier about it, even returning their phones with custom software still installed. I have not seen anyone post that they actually had their warranty denied. I have been reading both the captivate forums and these forums for about a year and a half.

Thanks in advance
Thanks I successfully rooted without increasing flash counter and also flashed the CWM....Yeeee....first timer here so happy. Now I have to unlock but I am really scared it will mess things up. Creepy could you please let me know if I could use the unlock method I mentioned will work?

Congrats on rooting, that method in your post works for unlocking. On step 2, just remember to wait. Your phone will be unlocked after it reboots. So if it says the application is not responding, click "wait"

Thanks all....
I did unlock it and also....flashed the unnammed. Very cool. I read everything like 5 times and followed everything to a letter.
Only difference was in the Android SDK...adb.exe is not in the tools anymore it is moved to platform-tools. That is where now you have to copy the zImage as the commands in the instruction assumes that adb is in the same dir.
Thanks.

For unlock codes visit:
Why would anybody pay for an S2 unlock code when you can install a program from the Market for free?
'cuz they don't know free tool is avail., i guess.
Well if you google unlock s2 to find one of the various unlock code websites, you should see the app as well. its actually the first result. hope nobody pays for a code
If I'm not mistaken, you're not allowed to advertise for paid services in these forums. There's a marketplace on here I think for this.

I need help rooting my SM-J320V.

I currently own the newest model of the Samsung galaxy J3 (SM-J320V).
If you search it up, literally the only other thing you will find on it is its specs, and there is nothing on this forum about it.
ALL of the rooting tutorials I have seen are of variants, such as the J320P or other things.
Seriously, I have looked everywhere and tried every single one click root, but so far all of them have failed.
ANY sort of help or something to help me root my phone would be appreciated
I know that I'm probably in a minority here, as all the other models of this phone seem to be rootable, but I can't find any info on how to root this, but I'm sure someone else on this forum has this problem.
It would really be a HUGE favor if someone could reach out and help me root my phone.
Thanks!
I just got this phone last week and I'm still searching for a root method .

Can you upload that file you have? I need to take a look at it.
I have helped gain root on several of these devices so far. This one may be able to be added to the list.

Sorry Kingoroot failed to root the device even after flashing ENG Boot.
Tried too many times.
Now trying Kingroot.
Damn WiFi not working after ENG Boot So Kingroot APK is not working. ;(
Kingroot PC version also failed to root the phone.
You look in your about phone section and se for android set to permissive?
Also oem unlock ticked and usb debug assuming you have developer options enabled if not u need to enable it by tapping on build number in about phone 10 times if u did not do that that is why
Download hidden menus apk off apkpure.com and under user debug google oem mode to "on"
Hope this helps hit me up if u have other issues this phone will be rooted with kingroot u just need to keep pressing root again and again no matter if it fails a few times or not

To answer my own problem/ for anyone else having problems it is necessary to remove the factory reset protection (frp) to do this you need to remove all pin/password/fingerprint locks, then remove all google accounts and finally do a factory reset.
Then the usual adb/fastboot commands work fine.
As linux33it says the bootloader can be unlocked without the option in the developer options.

While this works for some - it failed to work for me. Maybe because I didn't enable a little option on the screen about allowing OEM unlock. Maybe. But I (stupidly?) ended up where I was sent in this external guide.
http://www.modaco.com/forums/topic/...our-honor-5x-official-and-unofficial-methods/
Basically went to this site and used their tool (cost me USD$16) to wipe the FRP.
https://www.dc-unlocker.com
Maybe if you enable the option about the OEM unlock in Developer Mode this isn't necessary..........
Hopefully this helps someone. So to outline - let me show what I did - including errors.
Wipe the phone / factory reset.
Reboot and ensure everything is removed. Factory reset again.
Tried the commands - got error.
Did search for FRP unlock and found site.
Followed instructions on site which led me to download DC Unlocker and pay for their FRP unlock.
Reboot and setup phone (with no accounts or password or fingerprints).
Enabled "OEM UNLOCK" in developer options (which I didn't see before.........)
Run commands (they all now work).
Bootloader unlocked successfully.
Device factory resets.
Setup device again skipping accounts/password/fingerprints.
Follow instructions for flashing TWRP and finishing up.
Complete.
Again - hopefully this helps someone.

Explain please? What I'm putting forward is some information for persons that may not be as mobile tech inclined. Or persons over-eager like myself (actually bricked the phone and brought it back from boot-loop). While some information may be common knowledge for persons who do this often (or devs), persons just getting into it may make mistakes. Don't want them to do stuff and end up bricking the device.

Even newbies can do it right. Provided that they strictly follow the steps.
Sent from my Galaxy Tab 3 using XDA Labs
I agree. But I don't recall seeing anything in the original instructions about the FRP which shows / states ensuring OEM unlock is checked. Unless I missed it. I DO recall seeing it somewhere else in another thread where someone mentioned it. But I still don't know if the case is enabling it means you don't need to use the DC Unlocker program.

you dont need dc unlocker, unless you have not checked "oem unlock" option in dev. options..(thats also only case if you were on lollipop)
and if you are on mm, you dont even need to check that option,
Thanks for that info. Next one I get my hands on will try that out and see.

I had basically bricked it and brought it back. Think the one I got had some issues, because I couldn't update it at all. Even before rooting it wouldn't update. Then I realized that when the update was running it rebooted into TWRP - so I flashed back the stock recovery and tried again. No luck. This was done with disabling OEM unlock as well and still nothing. So I got an UPDATE.APP as well as a nandroid that I believe was supposed to be able to update the phone. None worked.
khat17 said:
It's a little bit of both. Those are the steps I followed to get root access. However, I don't recall seeing anything about the FRP in any of the previous guides.
As for my specific issue, I can't update regardless of what I try. After de-bricking the device I got it to this stage. I'll upload the screenshots shortly.
*EDIT*
So this is my phone now. Partly upgraded it seems. The device is now at B331 instead of B151, but still on EMUI 3.0
And what I want to point out is - after enabling DEVELOPER MODE - ensure you check the OEM UNLOCK option.
Because I can't confirm at this point if doing that will prevent having to pay for the FRP unlock.

But now that you've confirmed that there's no need to pay for the bootloader unlock, I would go ahead and do some experimenting if you suggest. For science. But I'm a little reluctant to try and re-lock the bootloader and then unlock it again. If you can confirm or even partly guarantee that it works however, I'll do some messing around with it. For science. Otherwise, I've managed to get the device to a working state now - wouldn't want to mess with it much.. Only if I can try something else to get EMUI 4 on it.

Hi all. I'd like to put forward some suggestions to be placed in the first post. I literally paid cash to learn and figure some stuff out. Even if you're good at following instructions or partially experienced in these things, when you're eager to get it done or impatient (like me) you find the fastest route.
Here are some links in case someone wants to just go through the whole thing themselves.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-5x/how-to/unlock-frp-t3444584#post69917735
So here's what happened. I got the phone and was very eager to just get my stuff on it right away. Rooting is the first thing I wanted to do and looked that up to get it done. Made a mistake in the process and ended up paying cash to learn. Hopefully others will read this and not suffer the same fate.
What I Did (Including Mistakes)
Wipe the phone / factory reset.
Reboot and ensure everything is removed. Factory reset again.
Tried the commands - got error about FRP protection.
Did search for FRP unlock and found site.
Followed instructions on site which led me to download DC Unlocker and pay for their FRP unlock.
Reboot and setup phone (with no accounts or password or fingerprints).
Enabled "OEM UNLOCK" in developer options (which I didn't see/enable before.........)
Run commands (they all now work).
Bootloader unlocked successfully.
Device factory resets.
Setup device again skipping accounts/password/fingerprints.
Follow instructions for flashing TWRP and finishing up.
Complete.
Some other things to ensure you note - if you're migrating from any Samsung device, don't do restore of Samsung stuff like XPOSED to the Huawei. And don't just arbitrarily do a restore from Titanium either. Select only the apps you want to use, or do the longer process of getting them from Google then restoring the data after.
Something else I noticed on my KIW-L24 is that I can't update. At all. I tried using different methods including the UPDATE.APP file for the phone, but it just gets stuck in a boot-loop. Currently going to load the B151 UPDATE.APP and see if I can de-brick it. Will edit and update the thread.
*EDIT1*
And just my luck. Didn't work. So stuck in a boot-loop. Working on it and will update when done or I give up.
*EDIT2*
So during the boot-loop I held VOL-DOWN+PWR and it went to a FASTBOOT+RECOVERY option. From there I flashed TWRP back to it and the system is now up and working. So lesson learned there. No idea why my own won't go to 6 though. Don't mind 5, but wanted to go up to 6..............still - better to have it working than not working. So happy there.

Yeah. So after TWRP was flashed, I did a restore from a backup I found online. And that's how I managed to get it up. The restore was for 151 not 331.

P Smart 2019 POT-LX1 EMUI 9.0.1.152

Hello,
I have unlocked bootloader for my P Smart 2019 POT-LX1 EMUI 9.0.1.152 (C432E8R1P12) using paid service.
I thought the life would become easier to root this phone now, unfortunately no..
With the help of XDA member KevMetal I have tried so many things to root this phone or even flash a custom rom. Something is preventing to let my phone boot up with new system.img, also no magisk build is working if I put anything other than original img files phone is bootlooping and going to eRecovery. The only custom thing that was almost working was TWRP for Honor device without touchscreen working (borrowed from forum.xda-developers.com/honor-8x/how-to/guide-how-to-unlock-root-honor-8x-t3864348).
Can anyone help to make Magisk work for this device? Or how to install custom rom? I am stuck now with unlocked bootloader and no root access :S
May I know where did you unlock the bootloader from? Did you tried openkirin?

Hello guys,
I registrated here in xda, to make ppl know that there is a possibility to bypass payment service for unlocking bootloader for free. It's silly to pay'em for administrate my phone, that I already paid for the device.
I think I got a solution that permits to obtain unlock code. The simple thing to do is download the app called 'Device Connect' from f-droid
Once opened, just tap settings on the slide menu, and there is Device UIN number and Device Password. I think one of those is that damn code.I didn't tried this yet and don't have 100% sure is correct code, but I think it worth a try. Only huawei make pay for unlock bootloader? Its first and last time I have bought an Huawei Device, not because politics, but because of their choice to close bootloader, so their bloatware can collect data, but even without root there is a possibility to clean the mess. First of all, Huawei isn't charging you for bootloader codes, the 3rd party programs that can unlock Huawei's bootloaders are.
Second, other manufacturers prevent bootloader unlocking on some of their phones.
Thirdly, bootloader codes aren't that short. UIN numbers from that app have nothing to do with bootloaders, try reinstalling the app and the code will change.
Example code: 9784200582026427 (P Smart 2018)
Only way that this phone can be unlocked is with PotatoNV and HCU ($19) as far as I know, but in the future there might be cheaper alternatives like DCUnlocker ($4).
And finally, Huawei has probably removed the command for unlocking the bootloader (fastboot flashing unlock) on EMUI 10+ so stay on EMUI 9.1 if you wish to unlock in the future.
Don't get me wrong I don't support Huawei for not allowing us to unlock the bootloader its extremely scummy on their side.
Just chill out and wait for people to find out a method for unlocking, or buy a Xiaomi phone and unlock it the next day.
Can someone give me a download link the 9.0 android rom for this device ? I want root it and i have to downgrade from android 10 .

Root access? Download mode?

Hi,
Today I got my S7+ 5G in Germany. I tried to root via guide from s5e with own patched file. But I am not able to enter download mode, although bootloader is really unlocked. When select `fastboot mode` inside samsung recovery I run into a fastboot mode (as known from other devices, like oneplus). Has samsung change the behaviour?
Any advice?
EDIT:
Although the description in
https://forum.xda-developers.com/tab-s5e/how-to/galaxy-tab-s5e-sm-t720-root-t3947806
is very good, the botton-combo in step 11 is wrong: The device must be off. Vol+Up and -Down have to be pressed together and then plug in the USB-C cable to computer. Now download mode works.
But now I stuck in the middle of step 13 (after installing magisk and reboot - of course with power button and vol+up) - I run into bootloop...
Have to flash either original image or factory reset to get out: but in both cases: no root. Tried it several times, but still the same...
Maybe you could try this guide : https://topjohnwu.github.io/Magisk/install.html#samsung-system-as-root to see if it's any different.
You could also try to flash magisk beta to see if it solves the bootloop problem.
Also here is a troubleshooting guide for magisk issues which might be helpful : https://www.didgeridoohan.com/magisk/MagiskIssues

Thank you!
But I already had set up the tab without root. It is my first device w/o root ever. Will miss xprivacy and gravitybox and of course titanium backup. For adaway I use my pi-hole (and from outside via VPN). Maybe I give it a try again once TWRP exists (and hopefully custom roms). At least this is a good successor of my note 12.2pro.

As soon as I get mine I will begin working at getting root working and building a device tree and creating twrp and lineage I posted a thread with more details.

Since these devices have snapdragon instead of usual Samsung's knox, do you think it would be possible to close an opened bootloader? I think an open bootloader voids the warranty, so I would like to be able to close it and service the tablet if needed. Otherwise it's going to be my first device without root, at least while the warranty lasts.

Once you unlock bootloader and trip knox, guarantee is gone forever
Looking forward how this is going on.
For me its pretty simple => no root no buy. I don't spend a lot of money on a device I can not do what I want.
Currently I own a Tab S2 and the specs of the 7+ are worth to think about an upgrade. But only with a real root access.

Thanks for info. For some reason I thought that only applied to Exynos chips. Never had a Samsung device before

Same for me there seems little interest from the community in supporting high end Samsung tablets. When I get mine I will get started on root development and lineage os ?
