I'm about to switch from a N6p to the Mate 10pro and wonder if I should use the Huawei email app or Gmail app. I plan to use it for one Gmail account and one exchange account.

with the exchange account and the Huawei email application you will get push email, with the Gmail account in the Huawei app you will not have push email, the shortest will be every 15 minutes. The Gmail app to me personally I do not like anything, I always disable it

There's no push email for Gmail, Outlook and Yahoo unless you sync them every certain minutes

I like using the Gmail app because of the push mail and it works good. I also need to use hotmail. I'm trying to find an app that will push Gmail and hotmail so I only have to run 1 app.
Any suggestions, open to idea's....
I already tried adding my hotmail to my Gmail account but didn't like how it worked.

Try Maildroid I use it for my yahoo & & Gmail accounts and they push instantaneously

Go into Hotmail and tell it to foward it to Gmail. you can so go to Gmail and tell it to import your hotmail account so you can receive them in Gmail, and sent Hotmail emails from Gmail. works a lot better

On my One X my POP3 mail worked fine, but when i try on SIII it does'nt.
Is it something i am missing or should i just accept this?!
I know on my Sensation i had the same problem and when i got my One X it just worked.
On my Sensation i had to use my gmail for outgoing to get it to work.
Please help!

I don`t have a problem with mail, i have used the standard sammy email app and it never caused problems for me. I use Kaiten now as i can store the mail accounts in TB. What exactly doesn`t work?

Kaiten is an email client, the paid version of K-9.
TB is short for Titanium Backup.
What is the problem with mail mate?

Solved it by using my Gmail smtp settings. This is kinda lame because when sensing the sender is my gmail. I want it to be my other main mail account.

Go into email settings of your account and you should be able to change the outgoing server settings.

That's because Gmail is set as default account for sending mail. Try setting other account as default.

EDITED: Problem solved when i got the right port and crypation settings from my ISP.
Hi there, my question is - how to check e-mail messages from another Gmail account, but not the main account that is logged in my device? Any app or somethig? I just want to check e-mails (and docs maybe) but I dont want to sync that acc with my phone.

You can add the other Gmail account in Account & Sync settings and then choose to sync only mail.
Or, like Lifehacker7 said, use a browser.

Always hated the look of gmail and was a big fan of the Outlook app... the past 3 months, Outlook has been horrible... laggy and unreliable. Still use it but now I am enjoying the new Inbox by Gmail. Great UI, fresh new look. Not yet as powerful as Gmail but I am sure they will enhance it slowly.
I tried inbox, didn't like it.
I have Note 10.1 2014 and Note 3, so want an app that works on both. I have gmail, Hotmail and yahoo accounts so...... need something versatile.

Yes, but it doesn't let me chose how and when to sync the email. There's no option for push, fetch or manual.

I'm using Cloudmagic right now. You can use it with every account you have, and it gives you the ability to create a cloudmagic account, so you can log in on other devices to sync them all.

Installing the new exchange module [1] gmail 5.0 works with exchange account, i use it with office365 account with push!

I don't have a running CalendarProvider.apk and calendarsync
Google Cal is running but i cannot interact
account google shows no calendar sync
I need a hint and the files please and where to store them and how
