I dropped my Wileyfox Swift 2 Plus and a few days later the rear camera no longer shows up in any camera app and the flash cannot be turned on by any torch app. Is it possible that something has come loose and could I potentially open up the phone and do anything to fix this?

Hello all,
due to a recent security incidence at my house, I have decided to install some cameras. I read online about using old android phones and I think it's a very good idea, so I bought 5 old android phones with led lights and what I would like to do is the following:
The cameras would start recording/taking photos when motion or sound is detected, and send me a notification. As well, if it's dark, I would like the led light to turn on before it records/takes photos otherwise it would be useless.
I was wondering if anyone knows of any app that would have both the motion and sound detection and the recording feature enabling the flash only when it's needed?
Thanks!
Hey guys i recently noticed that when i open the camera app or snapchat and switch to back camera the camera will make some weird noise like an engine and sometimes it just sounds like a "click" sound. If i open the camera app and it is already on the back camera it still makes a sound, so not necessarily when i switch. It kind of like as long as i start the back camera some weird noise will appear.
Does anyone else have this "issue", is it an issue, should i replace the phone etc.?
Appreciate any help
Same thing is happening to me. Did you got your phone replaced?
I got the same thing here. Doesn't affect video or pictures so I could care less
So my front facing camera has been broke for a few months now, tried factory resetting and even replacing the module itself and nothiung worked. Everything involving the front facing camera would crash if I tried to use it. Today I tried the "one-way video chat" that pops up when you make a phone call and was shocked to see it was actually working. Only the right camera was showing video, not the left. Is there a way to disable just the left front facing camera?
I've had the same exact problem I've never dropped my phone or anything I factory reset and changed the module but have not gotten it to work I searched everything I could and thought I was the only one with the issue but how did you do a one way video chat? Is it working with the other apps now at least?

Click to collapse
When you call someone that supports it you just press one way video chat on the dialer. I'm assuming other apps are attempting to use either both or the left camera. I am guessing my left front facing camera is broken because when I do the one way video chat, it does not display video from the left front facing camera., only the right. It is also working with an app called "BestMe Selfie"
Hi all,
Looking to see if its possible to set up either a N5 or G3 so that when it is unlocked the LED flash comes on automatically and the phone/app switches direct to the rear facing camera. I do not need the ability to use any other apps or take a video or picture - in fact it would be preferably if this is the only thing the phone could do when unlocked it with absolutely everything else disabled on the phone - maybe even with the touch screen disabled and it's woken and unlocked automatically by a press of the power button.
I will be recording the output via slimport/hdmi so all i really need the phone for is as a webcam / so the person viewing it can see what the camera is looking at.
Any help appreciated.
Today I was going to buy a used P Smart 2019 POT-LX1, when testing the phone I Noticed that when switching from the back cam to the front cam, the (Huawei stock) Camera app automatically crash/closes itself, I get no error message though, tried the same in video mode also same issue repeats itself, is anybody else having the same issue? And is it software and can be fixed or hardware and front cam needs replacement?
