Fingerprint is not working with Oreo Roms in my RedmIi note 4.. its 64gb version.. Did clean install.. tried almost all the oreo roms but the fingerprint fails to work after 2/3 reboots.. It works only for some initial hours of the first boot after ROM flash.. Pls help me out how to fix this issue.. I guess it is goodix version but not sure.. Any help?? Thanks in advance
Dont add any pin or fingerprint after the first boot.
Install, boot up. Walk through the setup and skip any kind of screen password. After the setup restart and then you can add a fingerprint

Thats where you are wrong, you always need to flash a firmware file when flashing a custom rom over miui.
download this firmware
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Ja0pLMP2bpUhwfKcOwjYirt_PMgI3yb2
now, go to twrp, format data, wipe system, data, cache, dalvik.
Flash this file.
Now flash the rom and gapps which you want.

This thread is for those people who are commenting in many rom threads i.e. volte is not working ...
So here is a fix for this
Steps
-take backup of all your important data
-flash fastboot rom of any miui version
-after that if any update available install that update
-use miui rom for day (optional)
-after that flash any rom but remember before first flashing wipe internal tooo...
I was facing the same problem but after following these steps
I'm getting volte in all roms which supports it....
Hit thanks button if it helps :victory:
We all know that lol? we want a patch as some has problems to flash fastboot ROM and I done it but after flashing magisk V16.0 voLTE gone again now waiting for nurujjamans patch

If I flash fastboot ROM with twrp...it working or not...
Flashing latest firmware will fix volte problem
---------- Post added at 01:54 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:53 AM ----------
I'm using magisk 16 and my volte is not gone
I have tried many here are some e.g. Rr, Aosip, Crdroid, Aex & etc., But Aex is the only rom on which i'm getting VOLTE support, i have tried each & every volte fixes post on xda for Redmi 3s prime (land). Followed all flashing step e.g. wiping system, data, cache, dalvik cache ; flashing gapps before rom or after rom. Cross verified apn, phone & many other settings as well, but hard luck didn't got VOLTE as many other users are getting VOLTE support on all of these roms. Is there any other way to fix the issue, please reply if any one have some fixes with them

What is your process clean installation in treble roms?
change name apn to internet
I'm on resurrection remix rom right now so i can't guarantee about other roms but this method works on this rom. All you have to do is do not add secure boot while setting up your device for the first time. It encrypts your device. If you already did it than you have to first install miui rom than install custom rom. To know about the detailed process head over to official resurrection remix thread page 98.

I did try the patch but afterwards the SIM wasn't getting detected at all.
Anyways I am currently on Treble LOS 15.1 but VoLTE still doesn't work. Flashing latest MODEM firmware, tweaking APN didn't help either. Will flashing MIUI fastboot ROM cause any issue because of changes to partition due to Treble?

Had the same problem. Found a fix, just rename the simcard that does not get detected (name doesent matter). As soon as you click on ok, you are asked to type in your simcard pin and then it works fine.
I have this issue on ArrowOS for mido. Its an easy fix (at least for me).

I have an unlocked bootloader. The fingerprint is not working on any custom rom when I tap on fingerprint nothing happens, it don't even show any messege.
It is working correct on stock rom.
I tried pixel experience, lineage os, aosp extended and all other roms.
I have tried flashing stock rom then other custom rom but it's still not working.
Any suggestion is appreciated.
Thanks

I am able to add one but same problem for another finger.
if I added second user than fingerprint didn't work.
i also tried in most of ROMs but same problem.
1. Clean fingerprint scanner
2. Change firmware
3. Delete fingerprints from android folder, reboot
I think that firmware has a problem too. I recently experience some clean flash on any pie rom that has a problem with FP at times

I am using pixel experience CAF version and vendor 9.4.1... there is no touch issues .. try CAF version and clean flash it
This happens for me too whenever I have TWRP recovery installed, with any ROM (both stock *and* custom ones). I only get this behaviour when entering my SIM cards PIN code or when booting TWRP (I can't swipe so I must turn the screen off, wait for about 5 seconds, then turn it in again)

Is it correct?
u wont face any touch issues if u use 9.3.28 kernel, only stock kernel has no issues with touch, idk if pe will boot with it or not... try it yourself, bt i am sure that 9.3.28 has the best touch drivers.

I already have PE aosp installed with 9.5.8-9.0 vendor-firmware on my Poco F1. Is it alright to flash just the MIUI kernel (kernel-beryllium_global_9.4.8-ak2.zip) and nothing else?
Or do I need to repeat the whole flashing firmware / installing PE OS thing?
