What is the best stable 8.1 ROM for battery?
Try All of Em' One by One, And Let Yourself Know. What's best for ya.
I'm using Pixel experience rom 8.1 and enjoy unlimited google photos storage without losing quality and size of photos videos
Battery is great for me on Nitrogen, but for some reason most people seem to be having the opposite experience. Maybe it is because I have my phone connected to wifi for the majority of the time.

For me Cardinal-AOSP 8.1 is the best for battery life.
Always getting 9+ of SOT only using Wi-Fi, with a lot of Web Browsing, YouTube and Spotify.

Thats exactly it. If you start using data and not wifi, check out the battery usage then. Thats the only thing that stops me using oreo as a daily driver since I like to use data without the insane battery drain.

You have to use the latest version of TWRP.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-3/development/rom-cardinal-aosp-t3707791
Don't go to oreo if your main consumption of internet is through mobile data. Don't know why but "network standby" drains a lot of battery and still isn't fixed on latest NOS . Maybe it isn't fixed in pixel too (can't comment on that just a speculation). And in fluidity or smoothness and ram management I found NOS best with stock kernel.
P.S. : SOT over lte usage 5-6 hrs, consistently tho.

I recomend a Cosmic-Os rom. Very good battery life for me.

Nitrogen os with agni kernel. Using it from the last week. Gives descent battery backup

I love MCAOSP (https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-3/how-to/rom-kenzo-kate-t3669483) - very smooth.
I use it with Agni Kernel and Magisk, no bugs, certainly nothing obvious / serious.
NOS. though the mobile standby drain bothers.
AtomicOS with AGNi Kernel. Nothin' more to say really.

There's no such thing as 'a good rom for battery'. Because everyone uses their phone differently & everyone has their phone setup differently. Try a bunch of roms/kernels out until you find a combination that gives you the battery life you're after. Also, there are hundreds of threads on here with lots of info/tips on how to improve battery life - search for them.

Hey Tony!
OP: all I have to add here is that the Android OS battery drain issue is well-know (a quick search will yield a tonne of threads), so no point elaborating on that. What I can recommend though is downloading BetterBatteryStats, and check for any kernel wakelocks. Fix those if they're there; I will not explain how to, as there are already many threads on the topic. Those will be the main source of your battery drain.

yes i found tons of topics about this subject, but not really solution,
in my case when i kill all apps WIFI still working(see that on the wifi icon on top bar)with my old Galaxy s1 that's never happened.
talking about BetterBatteryStats ,i found that Maps and GPS drain some battery but not too much but i disabled GPS and Google places service i won some battery life but the Android OS still killing my battery.
by the way have you this problem to?
thank you.
Maybe "One Power Guard" can help you downloaded from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1889740 Then feedback me you use effects
Hi
As the title says "How would you rate the different JB ROMs for SGSIII?"
Pros/Cons?
Which firmware is most stable at the moment? I have tried the last 6 but they keep getting worse. DLH9 was horrible.
I LOVE the Stock Samsung Camera App. Which ROMs does it work on?
A penny for your thoughts....

LI1 is by far the most stable, the others have issues, everything seems to be fine on this one
I just use AOSP ROM's, the speed and smoothness is unrivaled, it wipes the floor with normal TW ROM's, unfortunately there is still the memory leak issue but i think a solution to this will be found soon when all the necessary sources are released by Samsung, i actually don't really miss some Samsung features like i thought i would, speed, smoothness and excellent battery life does it for me and AOSP is the way to go IMO.

not just compete, beats it, i got this for 10 cents when there was a sale on in the market but even at this price it's worth it.

i would advice you to try the hypergalaxy 1.2.1 rom its small, BEST battery life so far from any rom ive used, (50% battery after 12 hours, 3 hours on screen) also its quite smooth and nimble but due to lots of bloatware being removed so you would need to download a few add-ons which is okay because they only take a few seconds! Also most of the other roms start to lag even though i clear cache and clear most ram being used a few times a day using titanium backup anways Go ahead and tell me your experience

^ LOL XD I am too. And I am sure Slaphead is too!
I have tried Android Revolution since 3.0.0. By now it has hit 8.0.0. It keeps "stuttering" and lagging for me. Gets worse as longer it is running. I did try Resurrection Remix. It was good until I got a release where it was horrible. Which prolly wasn't RR's fault.
Samsung Camera does not work on RRso that is why I switched. Also that the Samsung HX Mod didn't workas well. I have CameraZOOM Fx but it is lagging but that might be the ROMs fault. How is CZOOM Fx better? In what sense?
I am running NovaLauncher at the moment. Which makes it a little bit easier to flash and restore. But it stilla job to do with every switch of ROM. Isn't it?
welll samsung is gonna release the official JB in the "NEAR FUTURE":silly:
so im waiting for that to happen
hope its soon :fingers-crossed:

Hey all,
I've been trying out a couple of Roms running anything from Sense 5 Roms to vanilla 4.2. I've had a ton of issues with battery life, and I'm not sure if the DNA's battery is really just that bad or if there are better Roms/kernel combos out there that will make things a bit more viable. Thanks for all your help, I know this is a very subjective question.
18-24 hours battery life with 2-4 hours screen on time seems to be the norm for sense Roms running custom kernels. This exceeds the stock battery life by about 30-40%. AOSP has always yielded poor battery life, not exactly sure why. Perhaps because it wasn't designed for our hardware. Just run a ROM with a custom kernel and if you feel so inclined get an app to control your CPU. Network and GPS off when not in use will give you the most noticeable increase. Use better battery stats app to pinpoint misbehaving apps.

Any Sense Rom that you recommend? Something with a custom kernel included or if not a kernel that works well with it? Thanks!

Contrary to what others say, I actually get pretty good battery life on AOSP ROMs.
On crDroid with crpalmer's kernel (no OC or anything of that sort):

Have you installed the Official Cyanogen ROM on the Xperia Z2 yet? If so, do you like it? Why or why not?

lacking posts eh?
Anyway ive tried it and i loved it, im not sure how CM11 is supose to feel on a powerful device because last time i used, i used it on a Xperia S and even then i loved it although being unoficial
For the Z2 it is perfect. 0 bugs aside the camera being just generaly weird and the features of Cm11 are all there
CM11 however isnt for me and i am currently with stock, if i had a choice of Any rom Exept Stock and CM11 id pick CM11 because i cant have Stock in this scenario

It's that easy just by registering your finger if so you lead with a problem behind, just wipe dalvik and reboot - register it works charm. As mentioned by Dev Fp works good after 20th Builds.

Band 4 LTE generally isn't spectacular in office buildings like this (though this phone does pick it up better than my Z1 Compact did) but these speeds are still plenty good for YouTube:
