wear 24 boosting development - Wear OS Software and Hacking General

Hello there I'm an avid android user rooting and roms but not a programmer or anything so I come to xda. I wanted to ask everyone about how we can grow a community for verizon wewr 24 smart watch. Given the price $80 I think it's the best bang for the bucks as every other watch is north of 200. Wanted to know how I could make that happen. Coz with custom rom unlocked bootloader this thing could be a beast !!

Help me choose my next Android phone

Hi all!
Im going to buy a new android phone, but i want your advice, since I consider the people around here the most wise ones in this matter.
I wanted to spend around 330 $ (+- 280 euro)
Must be completely developed... as in already rooted, and ported to CM and/or MIUI
Better if scheduled to receive ICS.....
I currently have a SGS+ that i will give to my wife (she's not interested in modding at all)
So, i leave this choice in your hands, people..
Try: geeksphone (dot com)
They follow a rooted by default philosophy.
Otherwise you're stuck with the expensive Nexus phones I guess..

Finding Best Features in Lowest Price with Karbonn A5 Android Review

We all know that technology is fields were changes take place in no time at all. But leaving one of the best just because you are waiting for one which can outcast this gadget as well, can never be described as an intelligent decision at all. Rather you'll be losing something far better for a product which isn't in picture yet and don't know if it ever would be.
And this is the one of those few mistakes you should never come up with when you are out to have a solid handset like Karbonn a5 android. Though we are not listing its features just to conform you that this is one of the best, but still we can surly go with one statement that this handset will help you in enjoying all those features which you could have enjoyed paying much more then what you'll be paying for it.
In short all we wanna say over here is that, though company name is important when it comes to buying a product you'll be needing every second with you, but trying new which are claiming to be better and best is not an wrong step as well.
Karbonn a5 android price : Rs.5,490

Looking to buy Android.

hey guys,
just a quick one here (sorry if in wrong topic btw)
Im buying my mother a phone for christmas, she hasn't used an android phone before and I just wanted to get her something nice, shes been using the inq 3g mini for a few years now!
Ive had an in depth look across the internet, first considered huawei ascend g330 (released start of dec.) but of course, no sim-free price as of yet so that could be a no go
I then saw the Xperia U (which is about 139.99 incl. the £10 top up), which seems like a safe bet for someone who hasn't yet had an amazing amount of exposure to the Android operating system
My question is, does anybody have any other good recommendations to consider?
She will mainly be doing internet browsing etc, so we dont need anything mind blowing
But below £140-£150 is a must!
Thanks guys
There's always the Ascend G300. That's only £100, and it's pretty good.
(I've seen a few sites saying that the G330 will also be £100, but I don't believe that for one moment - I reckon it won't be out on PAYG until february at the earliest, and then it'll be more like £150.)

[Q] New unlocked phones.

Hi everyone. I posted earlier in this forum about getting a Nexus 4 and everyone said I should and I was going to order it but then I changed my mind. I don't understand my mentality on this and I hate that I have it but I always want the latest and greatest. I mean it is kind of everyone's mentality but I'm just saying. So I stumbled upon the Oppo Find 5 and I really liked it and for the price it was great for an unlocked handset with those hardware specs. I just feel that there is going to be another flagship phone from Oppo in the coming months considering they did great with the Find 5. Does anybody know about any rumors of a new handset from Oppo? I am also considering getting the Note 3 when it comes out unlocked so if anybody has any rumors on that then please let me know. Also I might even get the next nexus if it compares to the high end smartphones out there and if it comes at a reasonable price unlocked. Thank You.
Check this out; Oppo Find 7.

Oh wow I did not hear about this haha Thanks man. I also thanked your profile. Now I am very excited about this phone lol. I am going to get a phone in November because I am 15 years old and sadly I do not have a steady income haha but I will soon make enough money to buy this phone once it comes out. Thank You. Also do you have any details about any other phones or links to articles? Hopefully this will cost in the same price range as the Oppo Find 7. I would really prefer a Nexus handheld because it is very easy to root and install ROMS and other hacks and it is supported heavily by the community. But looking at this phone and the Oppo Find 5 I will have to change my mind. Do you think that once this phone comes out, the XDA Developers forum will support this handheld as in alot of people will be there to help with problems with rooting and do you think that this phone will have plenty of ROMS available for it because personally I do not like their custom UI that they have set and I would rather have Cyangemod or XenonHD or AOKP ROM on it. And to the other comment, I am in no hurry of needing another smartphone right now and Note 2 just seems old to me.
No I don't have any other links to other smartphones. I just Googled the Oppo Find 7 because I remembered reading something about it a few days ago.
Side note: I just bought a 16GB Nexus 4 (used on Swappa) and am very happy with it. I was considering buying the iOcean x7, but decided on the Nexus 4 because of the developer support. If custom ROM's, themeing and things like that are important to you, I highly suggest the Nexus 4.

I mean I would be alright with the Nexus 4 but I feel as if it is too close to the time of a new nexus being released and I don't want to buy a Nexus 4 right now and figure that there will be a better one in the coming months whihc is going to happen. Thank you for your support though. I am kind of into the custom ROMS and stuff but not that heavily. I am getting into Android programming though but that has nothing to do with the device. And also I had one more question. If I buy a locked phone off of Amazon, lets say the Galaxy S4, and I get it for $200, do I have to fill out my contract details on Amazon or is that done through activation of the phone?

OPX vs Huawei P8

Hi guys,
What do you think about this phone?
I already own a OPX, but I need another new phone for my wife. Instead of buying again the same phone, I'm thinking to vary a bit and try also something else.
From the specs point of view, the P8 seems to be slightly better; the nice thing it's that I found it at the same price I bought the OPX, considering also its shipping cost (P8 is free shipping on that store).
What I'm not sure about, it's the custom development scene. The phone has been out for months, but AFAIK there's no CM available, while root is.
Also, I don't think I'm going to appreciate the heavy lifting done by Huawei to the system UI.
What do you think?
Thanks for any insight/thoughts.
I also liked the P8 and used to own the P6, development is very poor and updates are also horribly slow with Huawei
would avoid
You can forget about third party development unless they start releasing sources. Huawei have to be one of the worst along with Samsung as both use their own SoCs.
Agreed. The long standing problem of Huawei is their lack of support for their released products and late release(if they ever release!) their sources. This is a major advantage in owning phones of oneplus type brands.
Thanks everyone for the valuable comments.
don't buy huawei phone if you are a geek
points to highlight:
- Huawei Phones don't get S/W updates from Android Version to the next, you are stuck with what you get with the phone
- Huawei Phones usually don't get S/W updates at all, unless major issues happen, security issues are not mandatory fixed
- Huawei Phones don't get sold to people who has money to donate to developers, hence developers are less interested in developing for it
- Huawei Phones has Huawei' CPU and GPU, this makes the developer less than enthusiastic to develop for H/W used only by one manufacturer who dont sell tens of millions of units of the same device, and depends heavily on the volume of KINDS of devices to compensate the lack of volume sales per model.
End to end, you are better going with OPX than Huawei Phones all together
