So i have been googling like a mad man and apparently can't find the apk to the new market with the Music tab and new features.
Is it still too new to have been uploaded yet?
Does anyone know where its available?

What's the build number

I would appreciate an upload of the newest apk as well. Don't know the build number but I'm pretty sure the OP is looking for the apk with the new music section built in (as am I)! Google should be pushing it out to all phones automatically starting from a bit ago up until possibly a few days from now so some of us are antsy and don't like the wait
edit:
Sorry for the repeat I just noticed that the first poster already stated he wants the version with the music tab, my bad!
I don't think google pushed the market apk yet

Haha maybe, I saw some reports online from people but maybe they're just being jerks
You could be right. Someone did mention that on another thread

Here's a better question, what happened to the App "old market"?
I don't need it now (freezing the market updater with TiBu), but I will need it down the road whenever ICS comes out for this or other phones...

Well im running the new market. Updated itself. Im running a stock rom for now though. So could be that. Was 3.0.8 before and i reckon it is 3.11.1 (without looking)

i came here looking too. mine has not updated. on aura
i had it on stock, flashed to a number of custom roms, (cm7, alien and homebase) none of them had the newer one.
there isn't much of a difference despite the app font being smaller. few speed tweaks maybe?!?!
I have it, I will upload it to this thread in a couple of hours

So a few moments ago I just got the new market update. In order to get the new market I had to do a few other steps. I don't know if it will work for you, but it seemed "timely".
I noticed that Google Music had an update so I tried to install it but I got some kind of error. I was running the last leaked version (4.0.1).
1. I opened Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > Music and cleared out data and uninstalled it.
2. I then opened up the Market and installed the newest Google Music (4.0.9) and set that up.
3. I then re-opened the Market and noticed that some of my applications had broken market links. Some were reported as not being installed, yet they were.
4. I then re-opened Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > Market and cleared out data then uninstalled updates.
5. I waited a few minutes then reopened the Market and accepted the TOS and there it was, the new Market (3.3.11) with the new Music tile and all.
Maybe this will work for others. Can't hurt to try.
I downloaded and installed 3.3.11 from a thread here in the "themes and apps" section a couple of weeks ago. Hardly new ... link

This worked for me. Thanks!
mine updated automatically overnight.
I've been on 3.3.11 since the day it was leaked. Last night it updated automatically to include the music tab after doing a search and purchasing an album.
Is anyone else having issues with the play store? I can't download any apps or update them... It says "downloading..." and never gets to the part where it shows how much has been downloaded. I restarted my phone... No luck. My Internet works fine, the browser works great, but no Play Store. Is this a widespread issue? I'm on Charmeleon ROM. Had no issues before with it, and I've had it for days. Thanks everyone!

i was having the same problem until now it just started working out of no where all i did was power off. then hold down volume down and power until you get to the hboot screen chose fastboot then reboot.
I wiped everything and flashed a new ROM for the heck of it. Works perfect now. I have a feeling it was just Google Play being a brat. I think the timing was coincidental. But who knows?

You had luck. Wife's HTC Desire stucks in "downloading...".
I tried:
- kill, clear data, uninstall updates (Google Play/Market, Downloading service, Market updating service)
- change user password
- restore phone to default
- revert phone/flash to system default (using HTC updater, then applied HTC's oficial OTA updates)
And Google Play is not working. Big issue is that more services are not working, including Maps, Chrome2phone. After resetting phone to default few minutes is Market working (until it downloaded update to Google Play).
But "Talk" is working fine. Home WiFi (no restriction) or 3G. Second Android phone on same WiFi and same 3G works without issues.
I've had that a few times but just hit cancel update then hit update again then it worked. I am more frustrated that apps don't download/update when u leave the market before they are done or turn your screen off

I too am having same issues. I can get Play to run but it will lock up past that. Browser blank as well. Wiped cache and etc, issue repeats.

I had the same issue too, stuck at the "Downloading...." so i tried to uninstall the update through "System > Application > All > Google play store" but it got stock again while uninstalling the google play. so i used titanium backup and did "Wipe data" (Do not uninstall from titanium backup since it will remove the whole thing not just the update)
then went back to "System > Application > All > Google play store" and did an uninstall. so it removed the update only.
I started the program and got the message telling me that google market is now called google play store... blah blah..
the version became 3.5.x (cannot remember) and it worked great...
after a while it updated it self to the latest (3.8.17) at the time of writing this, and it still works and I can download and install apps.
:good:
BTW, i am have a Samsung Galaxy Note (from AT&T) running 4.0.4
(i reached this thread while googling for the problem, but hopefully the same solution will apply to other phones)
Also: clear media cache
Another thing that helped me with this problem (different device, admittedly) is to clear the media cache (Settings -> Apps -> All -> Media Storage -> Clear Data). You wouldn't think that this would affect the Google Play store, but I have a large side-loaded MP3 collection & sometimes media crawler problems affect just about everything.
just follow this
do this
Make sure you've cleared the cache and data of both the Google Play store app and the download manager. Here's how:
Visit Settings > Apps on your device
View All apps
Select the Google Play store app, and then tap Clear data and Clear cache.
Then, select Download manager and tap Clear data and Clear cache.
it came for google online support
YES! Can't install/update apps
I am having this same issue. My HTC Droid Incredible 2 has been rooted, and running Gingerbread 2.3.4. Google Play store was operating as it should. Today I installed a build of Cyanogenmod 10 (update-cm-9.0.0-RC0-vivow-BRACKETKANG-04_08_12-signed-v.3) with Jellybean (Android 4.1.1). I flashed the corresponding gapps download (gapps-jb-20121011-signed.zip) from cyanogenmod.org. This is the thread I used to do this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1779986
I have re-flashed the gapps, cyanogenmod, and even tried various other cyanogenmod and gapp versions. I can not download or update apps. I accepted the terms, etc and it says downloading indefinitely. I have tried emptying the cache, force closing, reinstalling Google Play. I have also downloaded older versions of the app. Currently, I have version 3.9.16 installed. I have been using clockworkmod to install cyanogenmod and gapps, if that is helpful information.
I have scoured the internet looking for a solution. I am not allowed to post on the above mentioned thread, I guess I haven't posted on XDA enough in order to have access. If there is anymore information I can provide that would make it easier/possible to solve this problem, please let me know!
Thank you very much,
Darman

Thanks this has worked seemlessly
Is there any possibility to find out, which apps were updated at my Android phone (4.2.2) within the last days? Google Play shows the latest new (first) installs, but not the updates. Perhaps any app which does this?
Thank you in advance.
you could try going to play store (on pc) , logging in and and then selecting 'My Orders' - it should list the apps by dates/sizes of last updates etc

I checked this; but "My Orders" do not display the history of updates, only fresh installs.
I just picked up my new LG G5 (international unlocked version) today but the phone seems to have a real issue with the Facebook app.
The app isn't there upon installation, can find no sign at all (have done a factory reset). When I download it from the Play Store (Install being the only option, as if it's not on the phone), it installs as normal. However when I try to open it, 'Unfortunately Facebook has stopped'.
When I then go to try and uninstall, I can only uninstall updates or disable - the phone has decided the app is now a system app. When I try doing that, the icon then remains on the phone but is not actionable, says the app doesn't exist on the phone. It remains in the app menu though, with the version listed as 'version stub'.
What is causing this and has anyone else found this issue (I've searched but can find nothing)? Is Facebook typically pre-installed on the international version? It seems to me like the app is supposed to be there, and is sort of half there in the code somewhere, and when it is actually installed, the Play Store version is interfering with the pre-installed version and locking it up. I cannot get it to open at all. I've read in a couple of reviews that Facebook and Instagram both come pre-installed - neither are on my unit (Evernote is) but Instagram seems to open ok, despite behaving the same way upon installation (i.e. becoming a system app which I cannot uninstall normally from settings).
Am I going to have to send this unit back and ask for another or is there a workaround (I can't root as I need my banking app to work)? I know it's Facebook and a bit of a messy app, and I know I can use the webpage on Chrome but frankly I don't want to do any of that, I just want to use the Facebook app as normal.
Many thanks in advance.
Also experiencing this, super annoying - any workarounds discovered yet?
Hi, Exactly the same problem here, just received my new G5 and I am facing exactly the same issue... Anyone can help please??
Having the same issue.
Took back to the shop and they ended up giving me a new phone.
Same issue with the new phone.
I'm going to see if i can install an older version of Facebook on it
---------- Post added at 09:19 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:07 PM ----------
I just downloaded an APK for Facebook Version 82.0.0.23.70
This one actually loads up and works!
Rooted and installing the stock 10c ROM in the "[STOCK][M] H850 10C OPEN EU ROM + Flashable ZIPs + All IMGs + KDZ" thread is the only way I've made the Facebook app from the store work.

Worked for me too after uninstalling via play store first! Thanks!
Hi, exactly the same problem as above now.... but this has only happened since a recent firmware update (couple of days ago...was a whopper of 490-odd MB update ....UK unlocked, V10d).
Previously , Facebook worked fine. After the recent update, facebook icon disappeared. Re-installed from play store and has never worked again.
Tried the 82.9.0.23.70 trick above and it worked, but it seems that the LG update half-thinks that facebook is now a system app because you can only update it now.... can't uninstall...
Sounds like a bit of a [email protected] up with the LG update... half a system app now, that doesn't come pre-installed....and doesn't work....RESULT !!!!
Hi I have seem problem with Facebook can someone tell me step by step what to do Please
I solved this problem with help from someone on Android Central who suggested installing the Facebook app from the Amazon App Store. It's a much older version and for some reason it didn't have the same problem installing. Once it was installed and running, I was able to update the Play Store version as normal.
LG are denying it's their issue so just have to hope Facebook update their app
Thank you for your query regarding your LG G5.
First of all I would like you to check to see if there are any updates for the facebook application on your mobile phone, this can be done both via the settings on the phone and via the google play store and I would like you to try both please if possible. The methods for both of these are as follows:
Settings > General > About this phone > Update centre > App updates > Facebook
Play store > Left hand tab > My apps > Facebook
If you still have issues or there are no updates for the application, I would like you to force the application to close, then we will clear the app cache and the app data, and then if need be we can also un-install app updates as a last resort.. This will refresh the application completely and rule out any potential bugs running in the phone software. To do this you can follow these steps:
Settings > General > Apps > Facebook > Force stop/Clear data/Clear cache/Un-install updates
If you still after all of this still have some issues with the application, then it has been suggested that this needs to be fed back to the application developers. The reason for this is that after investigating on our end, we have found no software faults and this is the only application affected that does not seem to load. To report to facebook you can follow these steps:
Settings > General > Apps > Facebook > Battery > Report
Should you need any more assistance, you can reply to this email by clicking the additional questions link above the survey.
I hope my email has answered your query today; I would really appreciate your feedback based on my personal support I provided for you today. Hey guys, new here, had my G5 since launch and only now am I having issues, only got around to updating my software and security software yesterday evening and since then my facebook app does not work and more importantly my fingerprint software, so It may be the update seeing as both of these apps have gone down since I updated. Hella'frustrating.
I have also tried multiple stock roms and rolling various software back but no luck both facebook and fingerprints do not work, feels as though something has been updated that is not being changed regardless of flashing the rom etc. LG are getting back to me tomorrow so I will post any updates.
Hi! I am having the same problem with my LG G5. After updating the software today, the phone seems to think that facebook app is a system app. Before updating facebook app in the play store, my phone had the facebook app icon on home screen, but it was not working. After updating the facebook app in the play store, it doesn't open either. I can not uninstall it. Currently using Facebook lite instead of it.
The only way I was able to fix this was by downloading the older version via APK. Couldn't use the amazon version as it already thought FB was installed on the phone, and I can't uninstall it.
Yeah, I have the same problem.
It's because an older version of the LG OS had a Recommended Apps section, and that disappeared with the last update, but it seems to have left a Facebook stub.
It's clearly an issue that LG have to fix.
I had the same problem until i became a facebook beta tester, I've used it for a couple of days now and not had any crashes. Once you join up it installs through the play store.
Hi, got it working eventually, but wasn't happy after faffing about, so eventually did a factory reset. Installed the facebook app (an older version) from the Amazon appstore. It then updated itself quite happily from the google appstore to the latest version and has been OK ever since (and has updated itself sine). Only thing bugging me is that I never took a note of the firmware version that screwed things up (only can remember the size - 493MB)..so don't know if the factory reset nuked it and kept it as it was (was it V10e ???) .....but whenever I check, my firmware is now current at V10d. UK. Unlocked.
anyone having problems with ring tones and message tones with lg g5 as iv facebook messenger and i lose all. Then have to restart the phone to get them working for a short time and same again just wondering if there was a fix
To remove FB app from google play
1. Go to Settings > General > Apps > Facebook > Force stop
2. Go to Settings > General > Apps > Facebook > Disable
This have done the job for me...
Good luck
Haim
Two weeks ago, this paradox thing happened to our cellphone - the messaging system app while still installed and running properly, disappeared from the Play Store app list and as you can see from the attached screenshot, it now displays a message that "is no longer compatible with your device - contact the developer " and all this on an Android One mobile! I have confirmed this on 3 friends' mobiles and other user reviews in the app's play store page. Clear cache & data of the store as we usually do didn't help, so what I am asking is you check on your phones as well and propose any fixes (?) for this really awkward problem
Needless to say, even if there are app updates, we can't install them from the store as long as this message appears in the app page
I experienced the same. I side loaded the latest apk and it was good.
Problem solved as suddenly as it appeared on the Play store app description. Incompatible warning message disappeared, app updated automatically, all back to normal
Of course, we will never learn what caused all this mess
I think it had something to do with the new messaging feature they released. The ability to see if the other person is typing, seen and sent confirmations, etc.
