One of the best thing about an unlocked and rooted phone is Viper4Android.
I've been using it since 2015 on various versions of android
I use these Viper mods
https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/viperaudio-viperatmos-3-8-sq-driver-t3289075
These were super easy to install by just flashing the zip
But now on oreo these ZIPS won't flash
Makes my recovery go freeze
Stuck at copying files
I know I can get Viper4Android through magisk module on Oreo
But they they don't offer that bass and quality as compared to beats and sony edition. As they don't contain the driver files
Also the GUI is material design
So can anyone tell my how to get this version working on my MIDO.

I can't really compare it to viper, because it is a sound mod which combines multiples of sound mods in one. Like you get dolby atmos, viper, beats audio mod etc all in a single package. It's actually good.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/an...nebeats-sound-master-phone-sony-t3274355/amp/
Btw is this viper materialized or standard?

Hello guys.
We are grateful because ASUS have included so many useful gimmicky bloatwares in the stock ROM on our device. One of them was AudioWizard. As a groovy sound lover, I didn't found myself satisfy with AudioWizard's sound modes. Because of that, I come here to guide you on how to install ViPER4Android FX properly on your device as I have tried several methods and tempting many errors during installing the driver.
DISCLAIMER: DO WITH YOUR OWN RISK
Do a full nandroid backup! I don't want to take any responsibility if something unexpected happens.
Tested & working fine on my ZE550KL.
I think it should works on any ASUS Zenfone 2 Laser devices as long as you are on stock Lollipop ROM.
Not supported on CyanogenMod 13.0 ROM (Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow).
Known issues:
-AudioWizard isn't working. (You get a payback, dude! It maybe conflict or the V4A broke down the AudioWizard. But you will enjoy a great sound effect better than AudioWizard. Don't cry.)
-FM radio isn't working. (If you think this is very important for you so don't flash.)
-Sound recorder isn't working.
What do you need on your device?
...a working custom recovery such as TWRP or CWM
...a working root access
...BusyBox installed properly
Download the required file (ViPER4Android lollipop.zip) from the link below.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9vjPTwrSocDYzNlTXVrUG44Mms/view
Or download from the attached file (ViPER4Android lollipop.zip) below.
Flash it through your custom recovery.
If you want to use only ViPER4Android FX as a global audio effect, follow Normal mode. But if you want existing audio effects to work, follow Compatible mode.
Enjoy your new audio effect!
Credits & special thanks are given to:
@zhuhang the creator & developer of ViPER4Android FX
@asett3 for sharing the file with me
hi thank you i've been looking for this but i think i don't have acces to the file
Hey you all who are requested, sorry for the inconvenience. Now you can access the file freely.
update
Working perfectly in ZE500KG im sorry i wrong flash it non in twrp
FM is not working after flash.
FM and Sound Record is not working after flash
I didn't notice that FM radio isn't working when I'm still using V4A on stock Lollipop ROM. But my recording app is working well. The most thing I have noticed is AudioWizard not working. It maybe broken down by the V4A.
Sr. M Huzaifah
Bugs shown in the Stock Rom, were these:
- FM Radio does not work, no sound.
- It is not possible to record a phone conversation, because the Sound Record does not work.
Can anyone correcting these bugs?
Thank you

If it is really won't work and you want to make it work again, you need to flash the full firmware. Or you can revert/restore back if you have made a full nandroid backup. Don't use this V4A unless you think the issues isn't disturb your daily driver.
On MM is working if you install it normaly. Just download Viper4Android and install the driver, if is not working try to open the equalizer using your music player. If you use stock music player to open the equalizer it will open the stock one, try with musixmatch ( go to now playing and pres the 3 dots and open equalizer ). Is working with stock equalizer and Radio, Call Recordind is working

Hey Guys!
I actually have been looking for a way to get Viper4Android working today. And i actually found a method to do it. By luck, OnePlus posted the Oxygen 3.0 based on android 6.0.1 today. This version of android is compatible with the newest version of Viper4Android. This version actually comes without an equalizer like 2.2... but oh well. I liked viper way better anyway.
Just wanted to give my 2 cents to the forum.. just wanted to let people know there is opportunity here to enjoy better music while you are waiting for CM 13 like me =)
How i got it to work:
- First install Oxygen 3.0 with a custom TWRP created for Oxygen 3.0 (see this url: link to oneplus forums)
- Secondly, use the custom made SuperSU (credits to @Yash98) = this link
- When the phone is updated and rooted, you can install BusyBox through the app store. After you did that download the APK of Viper on your phone via the original XDA thread
- Don't run it yet. Download SELinuxModeChanger via the original XDA thread.
- Change the mode to permissive, go back to Viper and install the drivers. It'll ask you for a reboot, do so. After the reboot open Viper4Android and press the 3 dots on the right high corner. Examining the driver status would show that the driver is enabled. If it's not. Try to empty the google music cache & removing the data (i did so somewhere in the process).
Hope this can make anybody happy. I'm an audiophile so i'm more than happy.
- Shakaraja.

If you still are on OOS 2.2.x then V4A will not work. This fix is specifically meant for OOS 3.
If you are on OOS 3, then try reflashing OOS 3 with a clean flash. This might fix it, but only if you are on OOS 3.

My Workaround was i clicked in Viper many Menus up an down. Lock Effect Mode disable to speaker. UI Setting to Expert and suddenly the Driver Status was True.
No cleaning data. I didn´t installed google play music.
With Viper4Anroid on OO2 Oxygen3 the sound are definitly noiser and better. (Master Gain (Limiter) / Output Gaine -20db)
Thx for the hint with these app.

Currently i am using Oxygen OS 3.1.3.
I was using Hydrogen OS.
The sound clarity in H2OS is far better than OOS due to Dirac HD Sound.
Is there any MOD available to get Dirac HD Audio on OOS?
If not available then can someone port it from H2OS?
Dirac HD Audio is available on all versions of H2OS MM and LP for Oneplus X.
It is also available on Oneplus 2 OOS
Currently I'm using this on my OOS 3.1.3

Dear All,
I tried experimenting with various roms and didnt find a suitable sound mod that could impress me.
However my search ended after finding this ultimate Dolby Atmos port which is easy to flash on any custom Oreo based rom.
Instructions:
1) Flash Magisk v16
2) Download Audio Modification lib from Downloads in Magisk
3)Download and flash Ainur Mod in Magisk
4) Flash attached Dolby Atmos magisk module
Thats it ! Experience the change in overall sound..

Alternatively you can download (I attached the file) flash into Safestrap (TWRP) mount system then use file manager to back up your original found in /system/vendor/etc by copying it to sdcard or renaming it to mixer_paths_tavil.bak (i already have mine saved so i just deleted it). The file itself would probably and most likely work but it might be placed in a different location on Pie maybe just the zip needs to be modified to place it into the new location but as of right now I am uncertain because actually going to test and update this for Pie but unfortunately bricked my S8, sorry.
Even though I do not have an S8 anymore I will try to to get this updated for Pie support because I know how important this mod is for ths S8 especially now that Pie has Dolby natively.
I just need to fine someone with an S8 willing to work with me
Please stay tuned ?
Is there a way to increase the volume of the top speaker, or is it maxed out? Been using this mod for while just waited for a dedicated thread to ask this.
Thank you guys for this wonderful mod. As previous poster posted it works great. I did one of the loka glue screen protectors. I figured I just got the glue in my earpiece I can hear it but the volume is awfully low
I skimmed through the .xml and didn't see much on volume didn't want to just start throwing values out to see if it worked ???

You can increase this value from 95. I know someone who set it at 145 lol but it's all on your own discretion

Excellent my friend thanks! I saw that value but I wasn't 100% sure so I figured better to ask. When I get home I'll try increments of 10 and report back what I find to be a good balance of top and bottom speakers, imo anyways lol.
120 seems like a sweet spot for mine. I know age and condition of speaker comes into play but I'm using viper 2.
On a s8 for verification of works just fine here

I'm on Oreo so no viper for me sadly, but hey thanks I'll try 120. I wonder if ainur works, I have it installed but I can't really tell a difference lol.
Well I tried 120 and wasn't really to my liking. I went up to 800 lol and not sure if the hardware is there for it but it definitely seems louder. Doesn't quite match the regular speaker, thinking about going further.

It will never match the regular speaker because it isn't built for it.
It won't ever be as good as the S9 but it's better than nothing

The file itself would probably and most likely work but it might be placed in a different location on Pie maybe just the zip needs to be modified to place it into the new location but as of right now I am uncertain because actually going to test and update this for Pie but unfortunately bricked my S8, sorry.
Even though I do not have an S8 anymore I will try to to get this updated for Pie support because I know how important this mod is for ths S8 especially now that Pie has Dolby natively.
I just need to fine someone with an S8 willing to work with me
Please stay tuned

Are you on oreo or pie?
Just a quick search popped up with this it's for oreo but like mine there is strong possibility that exynos oreo mod woulld be compatible with pie. I added another zip to also include a Pie fix for Dolby Atmos i could easily show you what lines to add to floating_feature.xml to make Dolby Atmos work with phone speaakers and not just headphones if you are on pie
