Hello. My wife is running the Debloat rom from 4/28. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1054239
Is anyone having problems sending or receiving Picture messages with this rom? My wife is reporting that when she opens a picture message in the 'messages' app and in handcent. She gets a download error when trying to recive the message. The phone also fails to send messages.
Any thoughts? How do we diagnose this? We already tried 2 battery pulls. Also removed and reinstalled handcent.
Also, after 2 or 3 attempts, the message window displays the message as a SENT message, not a revived message. Like the phone things she sent a message(that i actually sent her).
My Galaxy Note II can receive and send phone calls, I can use data over the 3 network and I can receive texts, but I cannot SEND texts.
My Note II is rooted, unlocked and running Jelly beans rom V5 on the 3 network in Scotland on a pay as you go SIM card. The SIM card works in my other UK phone (unlocked Nexus S), i.e. I can send texts when it's in the Nexus.
I have never been able to send texts with the 3 SIM card in the Note II, (as in this isn't something that was working and stopped, it never worked). My note II was able to send texts when it was on the Verizon SIM in the states.
After I send a text, the "view message info" screen show it as sending to a +44 number and says sent. Several hours later (after the recipient in question never receives the text) I get a text from +441144 (then recipients number) with a message stating " Your text - to - speech message to 01144 (number of recipient) has been rejected by recipient phone."
Calling my +44 contacts works just fine.
I have no idea how to fix this issue. Does anyone have any ideas/ similar issues with their Verizon note II abroad ?
Thank you for your help and time
Using rooted Verizon phone to text on UK three network
I had the exact same problem, three network, using a Verizon S3 with synergy ROM and a hacked APN (as Verizon would not allow APN to be added), I guess you figured that bit out? Using APN Manager Pro running as a system app as set by Titanium Backup Pro.
You also have to make sure you have all the right APN settings, this was done to make DATA work on the phone.
Now the problem you describe is exactly what we had, it's the format of your phone numbers in your contact list, for UK numbers while in the UK, you DO NOT use the +44 or 44... just enter the number as normal 0745 xxx xxx etc... and that fixes the problem. Btw It's quicker to log into your gmail account and edit all of your phone numbers in there, presuming you use Gmail to sync your contacts and not verizon backup as that won't work over here when off their network.
This does cause another problem though, if you happen to use Viber, then viber will not see the contact, so what you do for that is add ANOTHER entry in the same contact, so I use the WORK field, and you enter +44 745 ... you must have the + in there and you must drop the zero, this way normal text works using the MOBILE entry in UK format, and Viber can see the contact in thge WORK entry... all appears to work doing this.
I know it's off topic and you may not use viber, but if you do, then your USA contacts would have to change your phone book entry to +44 745 xxxxxx again including the + and international country code and they can then see you as a viber contact. To see my USA contacts I changed my entries to +1 xxx xxx xxxx, so an orlando number might be +1 407-999-9999 then Viber can see the contact, just use multiple entries within the same contact, there are plenty of fields available.
Hope all of this helps, took some time to figure it all out

I'm having this problem too, on a Samsung Galaxy Stratosphere 2 that I imported from America (it's got a slide-out keyboard, we don't have them over here), also rooted and running on the three network.
I've changed all my +447 contacts to 07 but texts only send successfully when I start a new conversation and pick the 07 recipient. When they text me back the number at the top changes to +447 again and I can't reply without starting a new conversation.
Any tips?
possible workaround
I've installed Handcent to replace the stock sms app and it seems to be working well so far. As far as I can tell, replies are successful and the number doesn't default to +44
Hello everyone. I am having a problem on my verizon galaxy s4. I installed the CM 10.2 Stable build (probably about a week ago now). For a while I had no real issues other than some occasional restarts because of lag and slowness (only one time). However, this morning I was trying to send a picture text and I ran into a problem. Now since hangouts became able to handle sms/mms I switched to using that as my primary messaging program since I already use hangouts through google plus for chatting. MMS messages were working fine in hangouts when I first installed CM 10.2 stable as I sent one yesterday and it went through. Now when I try to send MMS messages it just pops up saying hangouts has stopped. If I keep opening hangouts it will just keep saying that so I have to clear data and force stop and resetup hangouts for sms to get it working again. When I try sending the MMS messages through the stock messaging app, I just get the error on screen that says "com.android.mms has stopped working."
Now I have been searching google and the xda developers forums all morning and have not been able to find anything that is resolving the issue. I am trying to avoid having to do a factory wipe and reset but if that is the only option then I will do it. I tried some of the things I found while searching but nothing has fixed it yet. For example, one thing I saw to try was to make sure my APN settings were correct. I checked my settings against the settings found on another website but I can't link it here because I dont have 10 posts yet. Most of them were already correct I just had to add the MMSC site and change a couple other settings such as the MCC. Is anyone else experiencing issues like this? Is it a known issue in CM 10.2 stable for verizon gs4? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.
Try using go or go pro app from Google play store. Top left task bar. Go to settings then Send and recieve then to advanced settings. At the bottom of the colum you'll need these 3 lines.. MMSC, MMS proxy and MMS port. Use the same as plugged into your apn settings. Hope that fixes your problem...

I have a friend who I've been texting since December 2014 and suddenly today they stopped receiving the messages from me. Messages can be received from others, but not from me. I'm not on any block list or anything. I've tried sending pics and they also don't work. I've tried sending messages to other people and they say they receive the message right away. I'm using ATT GoPhone with a Nexus 5 they have Boost with an S3.
I'm using Cataclysm 5.0.2 and they use stock Android 4.4.2 from Boost.
I've tried explaining how to find the APN settings but they said they can't find it anywhere.
So I'm running the latest official cyanogenmod snapshot (2014-11-12 m12). Everything's been working great, except that half the time it doesn't send my texts.
I haven't had any problems receiving SMS or MMS, but after sending one text I lose the ability to send more (only tried sending SMS tho).
By default I use Textra, but the problem affects any texting app. For example, I just switched to the stock Messaging app and sent 3 test SMS texts... Only the first one sent. The other two got "Error: -1" under Details.
Another thing to note is that I don't get wireless signal in some areas that I used to... Normally I'm in Global Mode and switching to other modes doesn't seem to help.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
