Quickcharge - LeEco Le Max 2 Questions & Answers

My le max x820 with stock rom charge with the same speed with quickcharge on/off . Did anyone else encountered this problem? The cable i got with the phone was faulty so i bought a new cable(2A)

Heyyo, hmm which version of the stock ROM are you on? If yours is an x829 with 5.8.016s then that could definitely be the problem as it is buggy as heck compared to Indian EUI ROM 5.8.019s or Chinese 5.9.028s.

I specify that the model it s x820. 5.8.019s the eui version

That version should work fine... if yours is x820 then it's probably already on the Chinese EUI ROM so I would recommend upgrading to 5.9.028s which is the latest release.
http://g3.letv.cn/259/29/16/scloud-...1S-5.9.028S.zip?b=123456&platid=5&splatid=500
Download that, rename it to update.zip and put it into the root of your storage (sdcard).
Reboot to recovery (either hold down the volume up and power button or go into settings > system update > the three dots menu > reboot to recovery)
Then select update from file.

Hello. Where in fastboot mode and you flash recovery it should automatically boot after flashing. You may also try "fastboot boot" command to run recovery without flashing.

[ROM][STOCK] EUI 5.8 20S/01D for X722

The stock 20S firmware for X722. Now it is the only firmware prepared for unlocking bootloader.
Archive consists of update.zip, firmware for flashing via fastboot with necessary scripts and instruction in Chinese.
How to back to 20S firmware from bootable 26S:
1. Install via stock recovery update.zip from archive. Your new firmware will be 001D.
2. Unlock bootlader.
3. Install via fastboot 020S firmware by open .bat file with chinese symbols.
4. Now you are on stock root-friendly multilang firmware without chinese apps.
Enjoy.
MOD EDIT: dead url removed
P.S. Because of little information about this phone, please, write here about successful and unsuccessful attempts
At least one person says that it has worked, but according to the updater-script of the ROM itself is not the 20S version.

Ok, but the zip file with this firmware also include instruction in Chinese, and flashing update.zip is only the first step. The second is to flash files via fastboot. Firmware will become 20S after flashing those files, I suppose
Why is my phone EUI 5.9? I bought it from Banggood and I know it's not an original firmware, but it's weird todo find a stock firm with older version of EUI.

Hello, as I said before I bought my x722 from Banggood and this model comes with this firmware:
WIXCNFN5902005041S
EUI 5.9.020S
But I know it's a modified firmware because it doesn't have any chinese apps or LETV video services, nor can update my firmware.
I haven't tried to unlock its bootloader yet, as I know there aren't any custom roms for this model.

There is one custom rom on Leeco unofficial forum, but I have with it soft brick. But soon it will be much more custon roms (at least EUI based)
By the way, here's what the chinese README says:
1. Phone must be charged, plug the USB data cable to the computer, swipe down the notification bar, replace "only charge" by "storage MTP"
2. First, move the folder UPDATE.ZIP to the phone's internal storage
3. Open File manager, search UPDATE.ZIP and press on it, next select update system
4. Phone must restart automatically to start the update process, wait until the progress bars finishes, phone will restart, then turn off the phone, next press volume down + power button to enter fastboot mode, open “第二步多刷_音量下键+开机键.bat”on your PC when the phone is on fastboot mode, the phone will restart again, update completed.

Question about unlocking and ROM installation routine

Hello,
I just ordered my X820 for dirt cheap (€136). I wanted to ask you about the routine of getting custom ROMs up and running.
From what I understand the procedure is the following:
1. Activate USB debugging and OEM unlocking
2. Go to fastboot and use OEM unlock
3. Fastboot flash recovery TWRP.img
4. Boot into TWRP and format data????
5. Wipe system, caches, data, blah blah
6. Sideload lineage.zip, gapps.zip and magisk.zip eventually
7. Profit
Is this procedure correct? On my other (Xiaomi Redmi Note 3) phone I skipped formatting data and it still worked.
I don't need the stock ROM backup, lineage is the main reason I purchased this device.
I would fastboot TWRP before flashing it and do a full backup. You may need it at some point to fix fingerprint sensor or camera or return the phone to factory state in case of a warranty claim.
The procedure you describe is right, but no need to format data.

I saw a guide where it says I should boot into TWRP (yes, boot into TWRP, via fastboot) and do a backup from there... Than actually install TWRP and other zips. So I'll do that, thanks.
Heyyo, formatting data is a good step because EUI ROM does some odd data partitioning and prevents custom ROMs from fully utilizing the data partition unless they do format data (it could show up as only 30GB available instead of closer to 54GB since the system partition takes a chunk of the 64GB and so on).
Also, I'd recommend OmniROM over LineageOS. LOS 14.1 is pretty good but OmniROM is more stable and has SafetyNet Google Certification without the need for Magisk hide and potentially Universal SafetyNet fix module.
If you want a ROM with similar environment to LOS 14.1 but with further enhancements to EAS, vendor and device tree? I'd recommend SlimRoms as it has a lot of good tweaks. SlimRoms does require Magisk Hide and for some they also require Universal SafetyNet fix module.
Ps. For some sideloading doesn't work but this does:
adp push nameoffile.zip /sdcard
Which copies the zip to the root of the sdcard folder.
Psps. once you flash a custom ROM you will want to flash an updated modem firmware as it fixes the fingerprint reader when the device sleeps for Nougat and experimental Oreo ROMs.
I recommend either the Chinese 26s 05.09 stable one here
https://yadi.sk/d/woKdrlRrv8yhr/Китай
And some also say developer 466D works better for them so experiment as you wish

Thanks for the valuable info. I appreciate OmniROM, and SlimRom, and basically everyone that has contributed with a line of code. But I'm more of a LineageOS guy, I like the official Lineage stuff.
You say that on the official TWRP adb sideload doesn't work??? Edit: Oh I see, I will try, if that fails I will use push, thanks again.

Heyyo, yes they do as they include the firmware files.
Updating to one of the latest EUI versions requires upgrading to the same locale version.
If your phone is an x820 (it'll say on the back of the device) then Chinese 26s is the official latest but there is a leaked 28s.
If your device is a x829 like mine? They come with EUI 5.8.016s which is a modified vendor version that blocks updating even via the update.zip method... So that one you would be screwed and would need to unlock bootloader and then try either fastboot or TWRP flashing a different version of EUI ROM.
Sadly the LeEco official servers were down last I checked but there is a thread in the guides section that has links to the latest versions and I think Google drive backup links too.
I think x821 might be the India model but I could be wrong. If so then their latest is EUI 19s

Ah cool! You should be lucky then and not be stuck on one of those vendor ones like my x829.
The easy way to tell is in your settings you will have an update checker. My x829 did not and wouldn't let me try the recovery update.zip method.
So you'll want to get the EUI ROM latest for your phone and then rename it to update.zip and place it into the root of your sdcard (/sdcard) and then boot to recovery and there should be a selection for "update from file".

I can't upgrade my le max 2 x820

I do the steps to revive my le max 2 X820, and when im going to upgrade my phone says that "the current build is not a user build. It doesn't support OTA upgrading". And when I upgrade manually with any version of EUI it says "failed to upgrade, corrupted file", What should I do?
Please help.
Upgrading Me Max 2
Maybe your file is corrupted. The best file ( in my option ) is the Indian 19s, but its getting hard to find.
If / when you have it, simply put in in the phones storage, in the main directory ( root directory ) and just click on the file itself. It does everything else for you.
The updater etc on the phone doesn't appear to work, and many phones don't even have it anyway.
I did it yesterday, but have already got rid of it and installed twrp , and then lineage as the operating system . I'm using it now !
Heyyo, for sure is your Le Max 2 an x820? Does it say that on the back of the phone? It sounds more like you might have an x829 and are on the NA release version of 5.8.016s which is indeed a modified version with version upgrades disabled.
In that case? Your best bet is to replace your EUI Recovery with a Chinese or Indian variant.
This link has stock recovery

Backup everything on your phone.
From what I understand; if you flash an OTA zip you'll end up on MIUI without root or TWRP unless, whilst still in TWRP after the zip has flashed, you immediately flash TWRP's image again along with Magisk without rebooting even once so that both persist.
That's if TWRP let's you flash whatever file ends up in /sdcard/downloaded_rom to begin with. Flashing MIUI zips - typically only supported by OrangeFox if I remember correctly. And if I'm right MIUI updater will download the full rom instead of an OTA if it detects a custom recovery.
I'd advise backing up everything before going ahead. If you want OTA your best bet might be to go on your PC and do "fastboot boot twrp.img" instead of "fastboot flash recovery twrp.img" then use the temporary TWRP to install the OTA zip and Magisk zip - that way it'll patch the stock bootloader.
I'd wait for someone with a little more knowledge though. I could be deathly wrong as I've only read this stuff and not updated MIUI with OTA before.

I think it's been withdrawn. It never officially came out of beta. They're still trying to fix a few minor Q bugs like battery drain and camera app issues; on top of that the development for MIXM in particular has been a bit behind - probably due to Chinese new year and/or Coronavirus. Though it's possible the MIXM (or Global) branch is compiled outside China; truth be told I have no idea why the Q update has been handled so badly for this particular device channel. The Mi9T Pro's development has been seemingly 'paused' as of late for Global users.
Reminds me a lot of my Redmi 5 Plus. Development was paused for much of the product's lifespan and they never fixed certain bugs on the device; just merged MIUI branch changes. Hopefully the same doesn't happen to the Mi9T Pro. It is a flagship-esque device and barely six months old (August 2019).

I had to download the OTA zip someone sent here and ended up manually updating. Tap a few times on the 11 in the updater until a toast message pops up saying that you enabled additional options and then tap on 3 dots and select Choose update package and browse to the zip you downloaded and select it.
Honestly I have like since forever used custom ROMs on my phones and this time I wanted to have the "stock experience", but if they keep delaying updates like this I'll just switch to xiaomi.eu weekly builds.
Since 31st of January Xiaomi suspended temporarily all updates due to the Corona virus outbreak.
How do i flash ota file manually on non rooted phone?
1. Be sure you have the correct OTA file
2. Place the OTA file in a folder of the internal storage named "downloaded_rom".
3. Go to settings/about the phone/systemupdate and tick the 3 dots on the right top
4. Then tick "choose update package" with this text or similar and go to the folder where you copied the Ota file and choose that file
Then let the Ota file update do it's work and after reboot it is done.

The option "Choose update package" doesn't show up unless you tap the 11 in the Updater a few times, because manually installing a .zip is an advanced (duh) option.
Was assuming that people here would know.
