Hey, I tried rooting my HTC 10 with twrp and superSU, these kind off stuff, after I complete it and now its the time to turn on the phone, the htc logo comes up with the description '' This build is for development purposes only. Do not disribute outside of HTC without HTC's written premission. Failure to comply may lead to legal action '' And the phone just turns off and on nothing else, how do i turn my phone back on how can i remove this sign?
I cant even connect the phone to the computer now.

Well, are you like 100% sure you flashed the TWRP for the correct device and in Download Mode, not in fastboot? Bacause I was able to install TWRP in Download Mode, and (optionaly) S-OFF. Also, there is a lot of tutorials, both on XDA and YouTube, but I prefer youtube since it´s easier for most to see what they need to do...

no you didnt, you said teh phone goes into bootloader but then the flash fails, (or words to that effect)
That is quite common and there is usually a simple workaround
However, since you arent interested in testing my advice, i wont bother telling you it and you can find it yourself.
did you go to the boot loader manually or not ?
Yes I powered off device then powered on while holding the volume button and then connected usb, it still says serial
anyone?....
Sir, today i tried to root my DHD running android 2.3.3 with the advance hack kit. after going through the effinn manual i started the process, it completed successfully but once the phone booted.. all i got to see was the white screen with the green htc logo. i tried to root again after some time and now the phone got WORSE. Htc logo with 4 warning signs at the corner. I tried a lot of things.. and finally installed this RUU (official) through my pc...while the screen still showed same htc logo with 4 warning signs in the corner..
RUU_Ace_HTC_WWE_1.72.405.3_R_Radio_12.28e.60.140f_26.04.02.17_M2_release_161342_signed.exe .
Now my phone takes around 20-25 minutes to boot. and runs android 2.2.1 .
what do i do now? try n root the phone again with the advance hack kit or if i take it to the htc service center and ask them to re-install the software for my phone? or is there a way i can myself reset if to the factory settings?
Please. PLease help!.. this is deep mess.(for me atleast)

Thank you for you help sir. I would like to know if there is a way by which i could return to the original, factory settings. If i take my phone to a htc-authorized service center, would they be able to restore the original software?

ThANk you for your help sir. but my phone wont go into fastboot i think. Because i even checked with root check pro and it shows that my phone isn't Rooted . Also.. if my phone shuts down and i have to restart it, i press the power button and my phone starts 20mins after that.
Also, the charging light still remains for 1-2 minutes even after i remove the charger.

Hello, my phone into a brick. Energy installed firmware and immediately after I put Atrix-CM9-Kernel-026b1-ext4-1.45GHz.zip BUT my phone Ruby! I do not put on my device and not for its firmware. Now the phone does not turn on the charge lamp is not lit. The program Amaze_All-In-One_Kit tried to enter the bootloader, but the computer does not see the phone.Drivers installed, HTC Sync is a new version. S-OFF, root, 4EXT.
If I press the volume button down + power button did not work.
What else can I do? Throw the phone? Sorry, I do not speak English.
Well I believe you bricked your phone because of the atrix kernel. If the phone has warranty try sending it back but just tell them that the phone will not turn on & nothing else. If you do have warrenty pm me if not dont.
Y the hell would you flash a kernel from a different device!?!? I think you might just be the first person to officially "brick" the Amaze. I would do wat Justin said, hopefully it is still under warranty. If not, well, then things aren't looking too good

My phone is not guaranteed. Are there other ways to restore it?
Friends. Who will help with the acquisition of the motherboard for the phone and send to Russia? I'll pay. Please. The phone is very good, but the parts for this model in Russia, no.

Have you tried pulling the battery, letting it sit a minute then put it back in? If you do get it to come on make sure you have a copy of the RUU on your sdcard and have it named PH85IMG.zip and go to the bootloader screen.
I don't have a solution for you, but this poses an interesting question, and that is how can flashing any kind of kernal affect your phones bootloader? I am still learning the ropes here, but my current understanding is that to brick an htc loaded with android, one would have to either flash a broken radio or bootloader file, through the bootloader itself. How can a kernal affect the boot sequence? Just wondering.
Need help. To restore my phone, need an image of the system.
file: "Full flash htc Amaze 4G PH85110"
The image can be copied using the "Riff"
Hi All,
I got my HTC one and was playing with it for some days and decided to root and make it a google play edition. I did the following steps
1. Unlocked BootLoader from HTCDEV
2. Rooted and did S-OFF (Using REVONE)
3. Was trying to update MID to the GPE and tried to flash the .zip having the MID, CID using HBOOT and phone froze at RUU
4. I did a reboot and now phone is not turning on.
When I connect it to my PC I could hear the sound of it recognizing my phone but nothing is showing up. ADB and FASTBOOT not recognizing the device.
Does it mean my phone is hard bricked>??
If so, is there a JTAG service for HTC one?? The bootloader is still unlocked and i wont get anything from HTC as my warranty is void
Please help!!

Did you flash eng hboot?
Did you flash the eng hboot? Isn't that the only way to change MID? or no? if you can try to boot into fastboot that way. I did the same thing with mine and thought i screwed it up. you should be able to rebootRUU and reflash the tmobile firmware to get you back on your way
Mine did the exact same thing. In fact I never saw the gray spotted screen. You just have to do a combination of button holds while plugging it in.. and it will boot. I had to hold mine for almost 2 straight minutes
You have to manually boot back into RUU mode..it has very specific instructions when flashing ehboot. Why would you go through all the trouble of a MID change when there are many awesome gpe roms? When I changed my mid I could only tell it was doing anything was because my computer made that connection ping.. otherwise the phone screen stayed completely black!!

Hi handman29,
I wanted the stock GPE ROM mainly for the direct OTA's from google. Could you please let me know how to manually bring back RUU
Does your phone show up when you type fastboot devices? If so you should be able to get back.
Edit: sorry didn't realize you said already.

I tried every possible way and gave up. I sent my phone over to HTC and they fixed it for free. The phone is on its way back.
Thank you very much for all your inputs.
Hi everyone. I got a problem with my HTC M8.
First of all, I didn't make with it any changes (as unlock bootloader, root or installing any custom OS or recovery etc.) Week ago I left device, connected to PC for all night, and, I gess, with "bad" micro-USB cable.
Next day I couldn't boot this phone. I connected it to charger and after little time it was loaded to fastboot. But up today I can't do anything with phone: I can't unlock it, can't factory reset, can't boot to recovery etc...
I tried to find any same simptomes in google, but found nothing
As you can see on screenshots, I made steps for unlock bootloader but on device I didn't see notification about unlocking.
Is this an AT&T version M8? If so, try an RUU.
Other than that, if the phone stopped working spontaneously without being modded, I wouldn't then try to mod it by unlocking the bootloader. I don't see how the cable or leaving it plugged to computer can cause this. If the phone is defective and stock condition, your best bet may be to get warranty service (or exchange for new, if the phone is still very recently purchased).
I though that I lost recovery in some way and should simply unlock bootloader, install custom recovery and got success ))

Yes, but next day I connected another phone, Nexus 5, and it was fully discharged (connected to enabled PC with this cable). And I though that the reason the same... With one exeption - Nexus 5 just was charged and ok, HTC M8 - lost data or corrupted it in some way...
Warranty it's the last chance. Phone arrived from Canada) I'm from Ukraine. In all cases it will cost money. At first I want to find the solution by myself (and with help of xda community and internet)

Are you aware that stock recovery appears as a red triangle with exclamation? It doesn't look the same as custom recovery (TWRP, CWM). When you see the red triangle, press vol (down or up, can't remember) to see the recovery menu selections.
I asked if you have the AT&T version or not (this section is AT&T specific) and you never answered that.

It should be international.
About recovery - I tried to open it from fastboot. Ineffectually. And I tried to boot it with vol. and power buttons. I don't see any icons with exclamations - fastboot loads after black screen, no matter, buttons were pressed or not.

This forum section is specific to the US AT&T version. You would most likely get better help on the international forum (more users there).
Do you get the phone ID in response if you type the command: fastboot devices

Yes I have. And I can open menu "Barcode" from fastboot and see IMEI, SN and MB.
I think that is your serial number, so you should delete it (personal info).
I didn't actually want to know the output, I just wanted to make sure fastboot connectivity was working.
You might try to find the stock recovery for your CID and re-install it to see if that helps: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2701376

I looked at general topic http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/help and found somekind of the same simptomes, but all of them were after rooting, installing custom ROM etc. I did nothing One more thing came to me now - phone could start upgrading and then discharged battery.

My advice is to post to the international forum. Your situation is pretty unique, so I'd say it justifies a new thread. And there are a lot of folks on that forum section that are smarter than me, and may have some better ideas.
