[MOD] Aroma Magisk Module Maker 8.1 June Update - Google Pixel 2 XL Themes, Apps, and Mods

Flash in TWRP.
This Aroma has all the mods from my normal Aroma but there is one last step. Like the other, you must flash the base at the bottom of the Aroma first. Then flash any other mods you may like in any order. When done, flash the very first option which is the Magisk Module Maker. It will make a zip in a folder on your sdcard called magisk.zip. After you back out of the Aroma, go to that folder and flash that zip and reboot. I did notice that QS background doesn't play nicely with live wallpapers though that might be semi-transparent only.
I don't know a much about Magisk but this evil themer-Magisk combo was made by djb77 at this thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/app...theme-t3590766
I've tweaked it to get it to work with Pixels.
Install 3Minit Resources apk before installing 3Minit Mod
Clock mods
Internet speed indicators
3Minit Mod
Enabled stock WiFi-Data in-out arrows
One percent batteries
Battery percent on AOD
Navbar height adjustment 30-48 dip
Colored statusbar icons
Colored Navbar Icons
Colored Notification Backgrounds
Colored Notification Text
Colored QS backgrounds
Colored QS text
3,4,5,6,7 column QS tiles
Navbar swap of back and recents
Invisible power menu button in far right hand corner of statusbar. Tap closes the screen, long press brings up the power button menu.
Remove carrier text
Remove NavBar completely with 3,4,5,6,7 column QS options.
Invisible home button on far left of status bar option for LMT or other mods that might not start as intended.

FYI, after a successful flash I got stuck on Google logo and only after
a re-flash of kernel and magisk did I successfully booted to Android.
Thank you.

Lol, sure.
I flashed the base first, then flashed the "speed left", "black BG" and "black notification text".
Lastly I flashed the very first tweak(Module Maker) and then looked for the Magisk Zip folder
and flashed the zip, wiped Delvik-cache and rebooted to system! And you know the rest!

Thanks for the specifics. Was that black BG, for QS? I've never wiped dalvik before since that is done in the zip but I wouldn't think that would cause a problem but with a Magisk module, I'm not sure.

at the risk of sounding like a complete noob lol, could you explain what the difference between this mod and your other one? what is the purpose/difference between the way the old mod does things and/or having this mod as a Magisk module? Thanks in advance...

Nop, it was for "Notification". And another weird thing I just noticed is
that it's made my "Navbar Buttons" like "Dots", almost invisible and I didn't
even flash anything related to the Navbar from your tweaks!

This has some old files in it some how. I'm redoing it. I'll let you know when it is done so you can try it again if you want to. If you are no longer interested, I understand. I got in too big of a hurry. It works great on my Pixel 2 and my Nexus 5X.
On 8.1 any changing of the Navbar height will cause the icon size problem if padding is not adjusted. My base is 36 dip, stock is 48. I've had this working great so when digging I found those old files.

Thanks a lot for taking the time to answer my question... so when the mod is systemless that means that it does not actually change the system files? and it's more of a overlay due to it being a module? Thanks again for ELI5...

I don't know the specifics but I believe Magisk works off a mirror of your system files and those are the files being changed. You can open Magisk Manager and turn this module on and off.

Thanks for the info, it's much appreciated.. I'll have to look into what systemless really means... I have always enabled that option in Magisk while not knowing exactly what it does lol... maybe that would explain a few of the odd things that I have noticed while flashing items in TWRP... Tried it to no avail !
Flashed exactly like last time with same tweaks, booted
to Android successfully but the only tweak that worked is
"White text notification" and that makes a problem now bcuz
I chose "Black notification BG" which did not work and now is
white on white hence unreadable. I think I have to dirty flash the
system so I get back everything stock again.
Thank you so much for your time and efforts.
P.S= The "Nav" didn't get fixed either!

Thanks bro
This is awesome! I used a font pack to make my font Exocet (Diablo 2's font). Here it is for anyone else that wants this. Only problem is there isn't a degree symbol. So on temperatures there is only a big period. If anyone can fix this let me know. I'm also going to look into it. In the meantime, it still looks amazing!
EDIT: I fixed the degree symbol so now it's not a period. This font looks great! And is it weird that I've gotten better battery life with this font?
PS: I am now the envy of all of the nerds at my workplace!

If your on a gingerbread rom they will not work because of clockwork 3xx we have to wait till that's figured out.
Used this to rid the Royal Thunder Rom of the fancy yet hard to read font, solution is simple downgrade cwmod version to a 2x reboot into clockwork, flash font, reboot then simply revert to 3x recovery.. all better Hope this is useful.

Some of you might already know this, but I always recommend trying Root Tools in the market. It comes with easy to install Fonts
Has anyone found a way to change fonts on CM7? There are edify packages in the big fontpack thread, but they don't work, nothing changes. I tried dropping the ttf's in the system font folder then clearing cache partition and dalvik cache, just bootloops. It's the last visual element I'm trying to change to combine the awesomeness of froyo and gingerbread.

It worked for me. I'm running a Vibrant CM7, and I flash fonts like it's spring break. I flashed a 2.5.1.2 recovery. What error did it give you? If it gives you the edify scripting, you need to double check the script in the font pack. If update-binary and updater-script are not in there, then it wont work.

[MOD] DL09 AOSP/Puzzle Lock with Reboot Options (added accurate batt)

This mod is specifically for DL09. If you are on DJ05, you can find a similar mod here.
Most themes already have reboot options added, but if you're like me you prefer the stock theme. Because there have been no releases of the reboot options mod since DL09, I took the time today and added it to the DL09 framework (specifically the android.policy.jar, framework.jar, and framework-res.apk). Once it was added, I realized very quickly that there was a problem--it only worked with the stock glass/puzzle lock. This is because stupid me used a stock deodoxed android.policy.jar and not Adrynalyne's modified one from Supah Clean. So, I pulled the policy from Adrynalyne's ROM, edited it to work with the reboot options, and repackaged it with my prior edits to the framework.jar and framework-res.apk. End result: it worked!
Precaution
You must be deodexed for this mod to work! Don't even try to flash this on stock. If you don't know if you are deodexed, use a file manager and go to system>app and see if you see any .odex files. If you do, you're not deodexed. If you don't, you're deodexed.
Credits
(1) Untermensch - the original creator of the mod for the Vibrant. It was his guide I used to do this.
(2) Adrynalyne - as mentioned above, I used his android.policy.jar from Superclean as a base.
For those who are not familiar, I have attached a picture below to show you what the reboot options look like. Basically, they give you the ability to reboot, reboot recovery, and reboot download mode. Again, these can be found in just about every theme. Their purpose here is to give you the option to apply them to a stock theme.
Below are the zips to apply the mod. Simply flash via CWM and enjoy!
EDIT 1: I pulled the original zips because weird **** was happening when flashed over a theme. I realized later that all I needed to do was add the stock twframework-res.apk to update script to fix the problem. You now should be able to flash this over any theme you have already applied.
EDIT 2: Added accurate (circle) battery. I pulled images from one of the themes .... can't remember which.

Use Root Explorer and go to Data>Local. Create a file (not folder) named enable_glass_lock. You can also simply flash the zip again (just don't wipe data after doing so). There is no need to wipe data before or after applying this mod.

Well I ddnt wait long enough for you to reply haha I gave it a go not because of the reboot options but more for the battery circle. So I installed the puzzle lock option on my stock dl09 non deodexed stock rom runing otb voodoo oc 1.3ghs stock voltage and I selected to backup to be on the safe side. It backed up everthing then abortd installation so it said!!! After installation said aborted it sat at the backup screen so I held down all three buttons cause I hate raking my battery covr off. Ebooted phone. Flawless everything works perfect with that cool battery circle but I do not have the reboot options. Don't mind though just wanted my battery percentage in the status bar. So just to let everyone know at least you get half the mod haha. I'm happy. I am not deodexed cause I've done so much to this phone and just don't wanna start over. If someone know how to get me deodexed without starting over id appreciate it. If I'm saying something wrong forgive me as I'm not an expert in this. I mainly mess with my viewsonic g tab. I would alo like to just get my status bar black in color. But don't care to change anything else. But would deal with minor changes just don't wanna lose stuff and have to start over.
Thanks a lot

You could try xeudoxus on droid forums xUltimate, it's really easy to use and it just adb pulls files from your phone, deodexes them then you adb push them back. dont worry there are instructions on how to if you need the help, he also has an xUltimate that helps you edit hex codes for color changes on your apk and jar files, again instructions are available. here is the link with the info, and if you get stuck during the process there are read me files and a link supplied in the files to his site. Happy Modding

Question about xposed activity...

Hello all, I'm on D855,and after few attempts I managed to get Xposed working. I had issues with SDK 21 thing.
Now its working but can't se 'table thing' on there. It just says 'version 74 is active' with no possibility to press Install/Update. There is screen shot. Is this behavior normal for xposed, or I did something wrong?
Thanks.
Sorry, posted it here instead of general. And now don't know how to delete it...
Sorry.

mrpi64 said:
if you installed the xposed installer apk, then that's one step done. but, unless you haven't flashed the xposed SDK zip yet, you'll need to do that - it's the (or at least probably the easiest) way to install xposed. flash it with a custom recovery or whatever else you have, and after a reboot you should see that it tells you the SDK is installed, and from there you can browse and pick modules from the repo.
I'm not sure if that answers your question (was in a bit of a hurry so skimmed read it incorrectly so no, it doesn't answer the question ), but in general (at least for me), those buttons are blanked out, and I do everything by flashing.

just to confirm, here's a screenshot of my device. maybe it's the device itself or something's been configured so that the xposed installer cannot modify the SDK installation. but, like I said, it's normal for me and even if it wasn't the most normal thing you can always perform the operations through recovery anyway

Currently it is for OOS 4.0 stable only.
I think beta builds are named ob1,2... etc and not OOS 4.
Will try this on stock unrooted OOS4.0 Nougat for OP3T in a minute. Hope it really does work on un-rooted stock OOS 4.0, since then I would be able to use bank apps which do not work on rooted systems unless rom is compatible with xposed or suhide/root switch.

Funny, but it does not work on my stock OOS 4.0 (file-system untouched (all default with data @f2fs, encrypted by default).
1. While unrooted ->
Tried on stock OOS 4.0 (unrooted) just the center clock option with everything else left untouched and it did not work. Status bar is completely empty and quick toggles/quick settings are inaccessible.
2. When rooted ->
Tried on stock OOS 4.0 (rooted). System boots up with black screen screen. You can access reboot menu by holding power button and you can see print screen edges, but otherwise the whole screen is pitch black

Just to be sure, you would need to boot into system once after rooting, open SuperSU app, reboot to recovery and then flash the mod.

I don't know for sure what the issue is. I request everyone flashing this to save logs during installation (last installation screen in AROMA) and attach the same if it causes black screen or other issues. Thanks

That's strange because I'm using settings.apk from 3T's OOS 4.0
Are you also using any clock mods?

Only using accent color and network indicator.

Network indicator is systemui based so that is working.
For accent colors, settings.apk is from 3T so shouldn't be an issue.
Can you check if settings > SIM & Network and Settings > data usage options are working properly? Thank you

In my testing, it worked without root.
Root in any case is only required for installation. You can unroot after installing the mod

If by any chance
Just to be sure, you would need to boot into system once after rooting, open SuperSU app, reboot to recovery and then flash the mod.--------
I don't know for sure what the issue is. I request everyone flashing this to save logs during installation (last installation screen in AROMA) and attach the same if it causes black screen or other issues. Thanks

I got it working on rooted system. Steps:
1. Simply booted into system 1 time after I had installed latest SuperSU;
2. Booted into twrp;
3. Installed your mod;
4. Wiped dalvik and cached;
5. Booted into system;
6. Center clock works
Now I will try and see if it (center clock remains), if I un-root my phone via superSU app.

Unfortunately removing root causes the following:
1. Status bar is all black (no icons are visible);
2. Quick toggles and settings are inaccessible.

If center clock was working properly with root, it means the systemUI was copied properly with right permissions. Removing root would not change that.
Can you try to go back to recovery, mount system. Then use the twrp file manager, browse to system> priv-app> OPSystemUI folder. You'll find OPSystemUI.apk. Select and do chmod 644.
If this doesn't sort out, I guess dirty flash your ROM to restore everything back to normal

Should I do it after I run SuperSU app - Settings - Full Unroot?
Any other unroot method besides using SuperSU apps Full Unroot option?
I am thinking that maybe superSU messes up something..

After unroot
SuperSU really shouldn't interfere with system files.
Statusbar stuff is related to SystemUI. Either the systemUI itself crashed (which would resolve on next reboot) or permissions somehow got messed up (chmod 644 would solve this)
Check permissions using a root file explorer like Solid explorer for OPSystemUI.apk (inside system > priv-app > opsystemui ) while you are rooted. Should be rw-r-r
Btw can you grab aroma log next time you install the mod. Thanks

[MOD|Flashable] ZTE Theme Store

Introduction:
As we all know, the A2017U, and G come bundled with a few themes and that's it. Well, the Axon 7, Chinese variant, not only includes more, but also a theme store that you can download from. This thread contains packages from the Chinese ROM that will enable your phone to use the theme store with a small caveat--you have to register for a ZTE Account (more on that below) and log in to it in order to download themes. ZTE's theme engine is pretty basic and doesn't really allow for much customization, but anything is a welcome addition to what we currently have.
What ZTE's theme solution does:
-Changes Icons
-Changes wallpaper
-Basic color schemes for settings, and some ZTE apps
-Changes Lockscreen appearance
Procedure
First, you'll need to register an account here. It is all in Chinese, so I would suggest using Google Translate so that you can understand what you're doing. You'll need to click the "email registered" tab because registering with your phone number will not work. Once you have registered and validated your account, you can use it to log in to the theme store on your phone and begin downloading themes.
Current issues
ZTE's dynamic lock screen doesn't allow you to swipe to unlock your phone when you have notifications and they're visible. What you'll need to do is to tap the "bell" icon to hide your notifications in order to swipe to unlock. Fingerprints bypass this. I'm sure someone talented can decompile the two lock screen apps and figure out how to change this. I won't be doing it.
Download: ZTE-A2017-ThemeStoreMOD-by-freeza_DrakenFX
This flashable will include the following:
ZTE Account
Theme Store
Lock Screen Framework
ZTE Lock Now
app permissions whitelist so these apps should automatically be granted the proper permissions
Thanks
DrakenFX for being awesome, giving me the idea to try this, and giving me the ZTE Account registration link.
Great work! I know this a stretch but wondering if this works on LOS or RR?
EDIT: Finally tried it on RR. It didn't work. Guess it's only for stock atm.
So this way you can get the stock theme on the European model?

I guess there isn't a stock theme in there, but maybe there is. Could someone confirm?
All I want is a ZIP that gives me a dark theme for apps like Settings. I don't really want to install all this just to get access to a theme store that may or may not have a dark theme. If anybody spots one in there and can make a ZIP out of it, I'll be eternally grateful.
Sorry for the noob question, but how do I install this?
@freeza, is this a lock screen, could you share the theme name to download.
@freeza it's ok on A2017U 7.0, but seem not work well on A2017U 7.1.1 .
@freeza
How to flash this on stock 7.1.1
with twrp as mount system as read only??
Or
With stock recovery
Should i need root or not
Also should i disable system write protection
I flashed this once in twrp as mount system as read-only but after flashing device stay in in the warning screen like forever

This Theme works and should work in any N base software ( probably MM as well )

Easy, boot to TWRP and flash zip file = DONE.
then proceed with ZTE account creation

Were you rooted? or which variant are you? IF you can give a little more info, it wont be so hard to help
I registered with email, but logging in, in the app, only allows logging in with a phone number. What?
Edit: Nevermind, tapping "others" in the bottom left allows logging in by email.
Edit 2: And am I just doing something wrong, or do the icon packs not work? I thought it might just be an issue with Nova Launcher, but the icon themes don't seem to work on the stock launcher either.
Edit 3: I just noticed there's an app called Screen Lock installed now (which does exactly what it's name says) did that come as a part of this installer?

Nope,
After I applied the theme
- Lockscreen is applied for a few second, then be replace again by stock android lockscreen (not ZTE lockscreen)
- The quick setting panel not change color follow the theme, even the setting did

Is there any black theme so we can make good use of the amoled screen or not?
Thanks
Is there a way to uninstall after flashing? I only installed it to see if I could figure out where the image for the clear view background (for axon 7 clearview windowed case) is stored. It didn't help me figure it out, so I was wondering if I can uninstall it. Thanks.

Restore your backup. Hope you backed up your Rom before you flashed.

Thanks tolymatev. I didn't think of that. And then again I didn't think of backing up before flashing either. Slowly learning.

There's other ways, Im just not sure what's in the zip. You can check what's in the zip, what gets flashed to your system and then use root explorer or something similar to manually delete the apk/files that were flashed. Be careful though. Definitely backup before you do that.
