Ok, heres what happened: I'm using a xt1022 kitkat 4.4.4 rooted, I uninstalled YouTube app via Titanium backup premium. When I try to install the app again via play store, it says that it can't be installed and I have to.check my storage. When I try to install via official apk, it asks me if I wanna update the app, as if it were installed, but it's not, so I wait and the installer says it wasn't installed.... It didn't happen with other google apps, only with YouTube... What am I missing? What can I do? Thanx in advance for any help.

Try using Link2Sd( you can download it from play store) and grant root permissions when prompted and search for the youtube app and uninstall it if found..
No luck, that app can't find YT... But the apk thinks its installed

Hello,
So I've downloaded the black themed play store, was so excited when I flashed it. But now I want the original play store back! I have a back up of the original play store but once I install it, the app wont be installed because its a different signature..Any Suggestions?
Try removing the Play Store apk you have installed (with titanium or something like that) then install your backup apk.
I deleted my original playstore. How to restore it.

Hi, a few days back, i deleted my backed up playstore. How could I restore the orignal playstore. I mean, the first version which would automatically update itself later on. Could anybody attach the oldest version here ?

I still have that problem, however i have deleted the "cracked app" and replaced it with the original PlayStore. Is it possible to get the original play store back (the play store that updates itself.)

Download this apk and install. Then open and choose third option. Click Install. Your phone will reboot. This will fix your issue.

I cant downloaad any apps on browser, plus my play store is missing because I disable it and reboot, when it opened I cant find the play store to enable it again, and message popped in screen saying com.google.process.gapps stopped working. Can you please help me guys? Thanks
You could try to install through ADB. Or maybe go to system/apps and see if it's there to just reinstall it. Or maybe side load the app?

Why dont you restore to factory status?
But make a backup of your stuff before, because you will wipe all your stuff.
That should be enough to run google play again.
Good Luck

Is your tablet rooted? If it is I think there are a couple of options to fix it. The first thing I would try is condi's AIO tool, there is an option to install a dark themed store. I think it is in option #4 of the AIO tool. Or you could search for "google play store .apk" on google or even better search xda for a play store .apk. On a very early version of the second root method we got for the tablet s it was not properly installing the google apps and i was able to reinstall the play store this way. Even if you are not rooted this might work. I will try to find the current version of the play store. Give these a try and if they dont work let me know and i will see what else i can come up with.
Best regards

Current play store version appears to be 4.1.6

Ok, since you are rooted do you have titanium installed? You might be able to see it in titanium back up manager. Give that a try.

Sad to say sir, I dont have a titanium back up, so does that mean that I cannot install any apps on my tab? Is there a stock firmware to download and install it so that it will have all the stock files/system?

I don't think you need to flash the stock firmware, but you could. I would try condi's flashing tool, to flash or reflash prerooted firmware. What firmware are you running?
Use s.ony tablet.s v3.0 [flasher] (can be found in the development section) you will be able to flash prerooted R5a for the sony tablet s. Just be careful not to flash the tablet p, or xperia tablet firmware. I have seen a few people do that recently, it can be fixed.... but it is not fun to do so.
Let me know if that works, it should.
Hi I recently tried to open cyberghost app and it said app isn't installed so I followed steps online that said to uninstall google play store updates this didn't work. I can't uninstall the app via settings>apps. I can uninstall it via the google play store but when I reinstall the app as soon as it's installed it reboots my system and also does the same when I click the app. The Application was working fine until this happened. Thank u for any advice regarding this.
Hi, i'm trying to install youtube vanced but can't get it to work. I'm using twrp and my phone is rooted. I also made 100% sure that the youtube app is uninstalled and automated updates are off in play store.
What happens is:
I can install the zip without errors with twrp. But in android there is no app shown and neither in Titanium backup. However i can find a apk called YouTube.apk that has the youtube vanced logo in the folder directory rootdirectory/System/System/App/Youtube
I also did try to install a older version but that didn't help. And i made sure with the app droid info that i'm on arm64-v8a and i'm using the right apk.
I just can't figure out what to do and didn't find anything helpful googling.

Did swap from SuperSU to Magisk, now youtube vanced works. Thanks.
I wanna install youtube vanced in my rooted device. But it keeps failing because the non-SAI version of youtube vanced is a lower version than the stock youtube app. Is there a way I can uninstall the youtube app? So that I can install the vanced version?

I did try it. I'm using system app safe remover [root] from playstore. My Miui optimization is currently off. It still says 1 failed uninstall.
Trying disabling YouTube? I used hidden miui settings app and from there I could disable YouTube.

I tried that too. But I still can't install the vanced youtube app. Because even if its disabled, its still a system app and cant be installed over
So update: I tried with a multitude of apps including SD maid and titanium backup and it still failed. In some apps it said "the apk cannot be located" ?? So I enabled the app and installed updates and tried again but still kept saying the apk cannot be found.
So I tried adb. I tried the "pm uninstall –k —user 0 package:com.google.android.youtube" and it said "Failure not installed for user". What?? So what am I supposed to do now?
