Where are the files interfacing the rom with the radio?

Hi guys,
i just flashed a new miui based rom and i found that my phone is tuned to a less desired frequency. i didn't have this problem while using a stock based rom. I am just wondering which part of the system should i be looking at to see the difference between the two roms?
i tried looking into the library directory, but i can't read .so files on my windows pc, besides i dont' even know if i'm looking at the right part.
anyone got any ideas? devs?
thanks all

Android os port question

i want to port an android 2.3+ rom to a device that has only seen froyo. In order todo this tho, ive been told i need to either port a gingerbread radio img, create a kernel that runs on froyo and boots gingerbread, and some other shenanigans.
Can anyone point me to a source to help me out here or give me advice on such a project?

[Q] Running JAD?

Wonder if as of now, we can run JAD on WP7.5.
Any experience?

Converting .apk between ICS and Gingerbread

Probably a noob question so I apologize beforehand
Is there any way to install an .apk that is meant for ICS OS on my Gingerbread device?
Normally, Android apps run on any Android version (there is no difference in the apk files). The reason an app only runs on ICS and not on GB is that the dev is using APIs that are only available on ICS.
You might be able to trick your phone into installing the app by editing the apk, but it will probably crash at one point or another.
You best bet is to contact the developer, or search an alternative app.

[Q]Best lapdock experience?

I would buy a lapdock, but I have a question, what is the best experience to use it? Currently I have a CM9 jokersax, I know there are different ways to use the lapdock:
1) Flash ROM based blur (but I love ics: D),
2) use a rom ics tablet UI,
3) flash nottachtrix dual boot and install full Linux Debian,
4) flash cm7 dual boot and install to SD webtop.
(I don't know if the last two are possible) what is the best method? If there are other ways, please write them. Thanks in advance for the answers and sorry for my English :/
I would wait for the official ICS upgrade, since Webtop 3.0 should offer the best speed with the lapdock, since its not running linux on top of android
First, you must decide if you want something that looks like a linux desktop, or the ICS tablet mode.
You can not get an X based system (standard Linux) on a non Blur based build. So if you want that, you either have to dual boot or punt ICS.
My feeling is that the ICS tablet mode is lacking. It REALLY needs the Moto 'vidia drivers to come out (Aug?) to get a more useable product. The present ICS builds are nice on the phone, but for me is a step down on the lapdock.
I just stick with Noat's flash (with a custom osh based on the "full Debian" mod) because I use the dock far more than the phone. I would like to use ICS though, but I will just wait till fall for this.
BTW, I use my lapdock 100% when on the road. Even for work.
Thanks I will wait the driver release(i don't hurry xD )
I tried webtop2sd with full debian and gentoo Linux on nottachtrix and found them way too slow. In my opinion paranoid Rom with tablet mode is the best but I guess it's also a matter of how you are going to use it and personal preference
