This one is based on xiaomi.eu rom http://mi-globe.com/, go in Rom Builder, Redmi Series, chose your Device (Resdmi Note2), chose expert settings (bevore dont forget to chose developer or stable Romversion in Dropdownmenu), on GovTuner Mod chose Battery / Powersave in Dropdownmenu, make the rest settings how ever you like, if you done klick create Rom and finally download what you createt...Note, your bootloader must be unlooked (standard on Redmi Note 2), you need to install custom twrp, the latest is 3.2.1.0 here in forum avalable, the rootmethode can allso be chosen in rombuilder (supersu or magisk) peace and have fun
Thanks, but

Thanks, but they changed the page and there is no GovTuner option.
I have installed that one aol-kunde linked to on a few of these.
Not really noticed any big issues it does have few slow downs but that I would say is down to the phone and battery life appeared to be really good.

A fast, smooth running Galaxy S2 GT-I9100 with Nougat 7.1.1, is it possible? Sure, but it is best not to use the latest ROM build. After many tests and comparisons of various Nougat ROMs based on LineageOS I've found out this. The development of the ROM is ongoing very quick, but it's made for many devices. The performance of the CPU is not taken into account. Our S2 is now some years old (since 2011) and has only a CPU with two cores. Standard today is at least a phone with quad core CPU.
Comparing a Nougat 7.1.1 ROM from February 2017 with a current build clearly shows you that the older one runs much faster. This is mainly noticeable when scrolling or if you open apps. In the current ROM there are often lags, it simply needs more performance.
To get the maximum out, a few tweaks with a modded Kernel Adiutor from XDA are necessary, the CPU frequency is set to minimum and maximum 1200 MHz. The battery drain of course is a bit higher - not much, but you have more joy with a smooth running S2.
What do you need for this?
I did made the best experience with AICP 12.1 ROM, build in February 07 2017. you get it here. It runs very stable for daily usage. Only the camera app Snap.apk is buggy at video recordings. You can change this by installing the latest one in my attachment.
The modded XDA Kernel Adiutor is attached too.
The CPU and ondemand governor settings (CPU Governor Tunables) you see on my screenshots. Make sure that the "Apply on boot" toggle is set to on.

Jelly Bean has its own, "built-in" recovery. Unfortunately, I am not aware of whether you can take another recovery for it. I know there is a flashable CWM recovery via Odin for the S2 (I have it here). But this is intended for flashing custom ROMs.
@Nobby1960
Hi, good instruction.
Useful article.

I allways used this file "PhilZ-cwm6-XXLSJ-OXX-4.00b21-signed-JB.zip" and installed it via stock Recovery. (no waranty void message after rebooted system). Copy this file on your SDCard, reboot in Recovery Mode and flash it. Now you can keep runing your device on stock ROM or you can install a custom one with this recovery.

Thank you for information. The ROM is no more available on the AICP server. I did upload it to a one click hoster (upload.net) The link in my first post works now again.
Would you still recommend this rom today ? or would the official lineage 7.1.2 be better than this now ?

Compared with the latest AICP 12.1 build from 07/10 it's not necessary to jump back to this older version. The performance from all latest Lineage based ROMs became better. The only thing I use the Kernel Adiutor with the performance settings from my first post. I think you can also use the latest official plain vanilla Lineage 7.1.2.
Hi,
thanx for your instructions. I have tried it!
One problem with the setting where i'm unsure: at the end of the settings, the core2 disabled itself and the minimum frequency was set to 100 automatically. I changed the frequency back to 12.000. Is that OK, or should i leave it at 100 ?
btw. I still have installed stock_kernel_twrp_1120. Is that OK, or do i need another kernel?
Anyway, at this point the CPU tweak has made the perforance a little faster, but it's still much worse than Android 4.12
On 4.12 i was running 5 aktive apps the same time without problems. (Navi, RadarWarning, Mp3, GPSLog, + 1 temporarly app)
On Lineage 14.1 the Mp3 already beginns to stutter and the systems gets very slow when i run only 2 Apps. If i start more apps they beginn to chrash.
So i want to ask, is it possible somehow to get the same (or even better) performance with a custom rom like with the original stock 4.12 ?
Thanks for Info,
Rooster
Hi,
hmm - all settings are correct from the governor like the screenshots in Kernel Adiutor? Both CPU frequencies should set to 1200 MHz. In idle time core 2 stops to save battery, but it must switch up at load to 1200 MHz automatically.
The stock_kernel_twrp_1120 is okay to install this ROM. If you boot in recovery after installation you must see the newer TWRP 3.0.2-1 and you can flash the latest TWRP 3.1.0-0 as an .img file.
The problem with Nougat and most modern apps is, the generally RAM consumption gets higher and higher - that's the biggest bottleneck. So the S2 with only 784 MB comes faster to its limits at multitasking than with the latest stock ROM 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and older, more slim apps. Unfortunately there is no chance to get a higher performance with Nougat. There you feel the age of our good old phone from 2011, it came first with Android 2.3.x Gingerbread
One question team- if people can download the MIUI ROM from the official MI website, why there is a need of installing this firmware?
Is it different?
Can you guyz also realease MIUI with PICO gapps installed
I installed MIUI back because of every other rom was so unstable. I used TWRP to get back to official MIUI. have magisks too
Is there a way to DEGRADE my current Gapps to PICO?
this is to save battery and performance
I tried all the versions of miui (except chinese and I´ll never try) like official of course, miuihellas, miui.it, miuisu, miuiam, miui,eu, developer version, from a chinese forum (红米5 Plus MIUI9 8.3.18开发 主题破解 快如闪电 人脸解锁 高级设置 小爱同学 精品必刷), greatslon, minovo, miuipro, globerom and finally multirom http://en.miui.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=2278183&highlight=redmi+5+plus and this is the best version for me and it has like some of the mentioned roms a minimal gapps just to make Google runs. I too came back to MIUI after tinkering with some random ROM's , while it seems like u tried all the MIUI ROM's i do not get how you went for MultiRom instead of MiuiPro. MiuiPro has awesome tweaks and extra options built into the system which makes the Mi experience a bit flexible. Please elaborate on why you chose MultiRom and list a few of its exclusive features ( if it has some ).
I think you're looking for a lightweight option, something like Xiaomi.EU
They base their development on the Chinese beta, so you'll be having the newest freatures. They remove all the bloatware that's by default in the ROM and the set of google apps that the rom includes is really small, so the ram usage is lower and there's more free storage space.
I don't know what you're looking for, but if you really need to have just pico o micro gapps, your best choice is a custom rom. MIUI is not a light product.

Well, the last version I tried was 8.3.29, I see that now is on 8.4.19 maybe there´s some improvement but I didn´t see any special in this version before but advanced reboot, theme store is in chinese and nor on the version mentioned above, my second candidate is miu.hellas from greece and greatslon that has bigger letters in statusbar.
Maybe the main reason is the stability, performance, time to response, battery, I love customise and I have more than 100 themes (I never find one perfect) and I have 31GB free yet and the rom is fast despite of this and by last ram management; when I leave an activity and after 4 hours is there waiting for me, also is important for me to enlarge all, icons, letters, display (not so bigger) how it looks visually in aspect/ratio cause in some roms I changed display size and looks really weird or some object don´t match with the border, it looks like they are out of display.
It´s pretty hard to say a definitive "this is the best" cause it depends in the user preferences, I didn´t find any special tweak in any rom like on Epic rom (a great and really customized) that I used in my last Xiaomi but unfortunately they don´t develop for this device
Checked, MIui PRO is not yet available for my phone... or either i was unable to find it cuz every page was written in Russian.
Can anyone share a direct link for me to download and install the MIui PRO on my Redmi note 5 vince
How to revert back to stock miui(Indian) and relock the bootloader ?
To relock bootloader you don't need to flash a rom but if you want then flash the rom via MiFlash Tool (XiaoMiFlash) and choose the 3rd option to relock bootloader right down (clean all and lock)
Hi everyone! I have built a dtbo.img with kernel sources from @Inkypen. With this image you should have 78hz screen refresh rate with a slightly green tint.
Requirements
- TWRP
- Mostly any custom rom, doesn't work on MIUI.
Tested ROMs
Android 11:
Pixel Experience 11 - 66hz
LineageOS 18.1 - 66hz
Havoc 4.1 - 66hz
Android 10:
Pixel Experience Plus 10 - 08/05/2020 - 78hz
Havoc 08/05/2020 78hz
Paradroid 08/05/2020 78hz
LineageOS 08/05/2020 78hz
EvolutionX -78hz (april update)
Usage
- Download dtbo78.img or dtbo66.img
- Reboot to TWRP
- Select Backup>dtbo (just for safety in case something goes wrong or your rom is not yet supported)
- Select Install>Select Image, select dtbo78.img and check "dtbo"
- Reboot
You can also flash it using "fastboot flash dtbo dtbo78.img" in fastboot mode connected to a computer.
WARNING! Use 78hz ONLY for May 2020 builds or older (not june builds, as they are based on a new kernel) for 78HZ.
Use 66hz ONLY for Android 11 builds.
This is based on Unofficial Pixel Experience 10 Build date 08.05.2020 (maintainer @Inkypen). It works fine, testufo shows 77-78hz, not perfectly syincing. I personally daily drive it.
Android 11 mod (66hz) doesn't have a green tint.

5G is working great on custom roms (tested on Pixel experience). The phone will not show 5G option in settings or 5G icon in notification bar, but the carrier aggregation between 4G and 5G cell does happen, thus the overall speed is increased by the 5G cell. I would advice you to use the latest modem on your device available here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-mix-3/xiaomi-mi-mix-3-5g-andromeda/mod-updated-modem-partition-twrp-backup-t4085329

Hi, may I ask which version of Pixel Experience you are using on your Mix 3 5G? I tried to flash one version yesterday and my phone got stuck on the Google icon screen when you first reboot the phone.
Thanks
That is because you didn't format data before flashing. Pay attention, *format data*, not wiping. When you format data you will be requested to type letter by letter *yes*.

Wow bootloop custom ROM fluid 1.4 android 11
Hello
here is a Android 10 release of crDroid 6.5 from 16.4.20 for download:
https://yadi.sk/d/TD-kDw6UvZbvoQ
I got it running on my Mi 9T, without any issues.
Even the fingerprint sensor works very fine, its my daily driver.
It has lots of customization options
It is official rom?
Can I flash it on indian k20
I dont think its official.
I am not the developer , but I am very happy with crDroid on my Davinci.
I tested very much other roms, every one had issues with something.
Mostly with the fingerprint sensor or the customization options.
With a backup from your previous system its worth a test
Is it smooth ROM like, for instance, Pixel Expirience? Does ANX Camera works in it? Which gapps do you use on this ROM?
does all functions works ok?
I didnt find anything what is not working.
Pixel Exp. is nothing for me, to less options. But yes, it runs smooth.
The battery life is amazing.
I use opengapps nano, because when pixel launcher is installed the orignal laucher has problems.
And the gcam port from urnyx works very fine. Havent anx cam installed yet.
Volte/vowifi working? And stupid question but does it ask for FP when double tapping a notification or just pin?
Used to use crDroid back in my Samy S2 days so interested to see how its come along.

Dont know whos the dev.
Crdroid is my absolute favorite rom , hope there will be an official build on the crdroid page

You can unlock with fingerprint or pattern.
How can I test Volte/vowifi ?
Volte is on per default, Wi-Fi calling can be enabled
Found the ROM on 4pda, the develop name is Razziell of that forum, this is the know bugs written on the post:
ANX camera not supported!
After making calls on the bt headset while playing music, you need to reconnect the headset / headphones, since the audio stops playing (the same applies to the GU)

In my poco f1 I updated miui 12. due to battery drain and pubg lag I flash lineage os 17.1. but it didn't get flashed via twrp so I flashed via ADB sideload. But i am facing numerious bugs and similar pubg lag whereas battery perfomance is improved I guess.
so can I flash miui of lower version directly ?? is yes will it improve the performance?? i.e good fps in pubg??
or which rom is best for pubg ??
any idea is appreciated ??
please if possible the step by step process would be great help??
thank you in advance.??
In my opinion best ROM is Fork LineageOS 17.1
Support: MOD EDIT: Telegram link removed, please read the STICKY!
Download: https://sourceforge.net/projects/teamdesi/files/Beryllium/flos_stable/
This ROM is basically LineageOS plus IR face unlock and scrolling screenshot. The safetyet passes too once you root and enable magisk hide but I don't know if it passes without root.
I can't comment on gaming. But "Game Driver Preferences" is present in developer options. Overall experience and battery life is like normal LineageOS
I personally avoid miui roms (including Xiaomi eu) nowadays because of slow, heavy and restricted UI.
Is there any other custom rom based od MIUI, except EliteROM and xiaomi.eu ?

There is "Romktpro gaming fan club" based on MIUI 12 you can search it on telegram and Google too that's also a good option, especially for gaming. And it has stable miui with all the Chinese MIUI ROM features.
