Install ethernet driver? - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello!
I want to connect my SGS-II i9100 via ethernet!
I have a OTG USB cable and a USB ethernet adapter ASIX AX88179.
On my Galaxy-Tab-S2 (original Rom) ist works out of the box, but not on the i9100.
On the i9100 I've installed LineageOS 14.1, Kernel: DorimanX V13.0b005 and TWRP 3.1.0-0.
I've found this older thread about ethernet driver on an Eee-Pad, the driver package should include the right driver for me:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2039886
I tried it out but on Termux I got the following error-message:
insmod: can't insert '/system/lib/modules/usb_ethernet/asix.ko': invalid module format
what does this mean?
I'm not familiar with linux... unfortunately.
Is there a way to install this driver in such a way or is kernel compiling the only way to integrate drivers?
I've found the original driver: http://www.asix.com.tw/FrootAttach/driver/AX88179_178A_LINUX_DRIVER_v1.19.0_SOURCE.tar.bz2
Can anyone please help me?
thanks and best regards!!

My device supports OTG but OS doesn't

Hello,
I was trying to develop an app that uses USB Host/Accessory mode to communicate with a python script on another linux device (for now it's my PC). I noticed that getAccessoryList() and getDeviceList() both return null/empty and after searching a lot I came across USB Host Diagnostics from chainfire.
And when I tried it this was the result: usbhost(dot)chainfire(dot)eu/?search=1382824
As you can see, the kernel supports OTG while the OS doesn't. My devices are Samsung S5 and Note 8.0 and both gave the same exact results. My devices are rooted but that was the only modification i've done to them.
So is there a way to fix this issue ?
Thanks in advance.

Add usb to ethernet support to tablet Teclast t20

Hello,
i would like to allow my tablet Teclast T20 to connect to ETHERNET via USB.
I already own a USB to ETHERNET ADAPTER, that i use succesfully with my windows 10 laptop.
It is an ASIX AX88772 USB2.0 to Fast Ethernet Adapter, and i found that for this adapter is available a driver (source) in ASIX website
https://www.asix.com.tw/products.php?op=pItemdetail&PItemID=86;71;101&PLine=71
that should work for Linux and Android.
But when i connect the adapter to my tablet using an OTG Usb to microusb cable, and connect the ethernet cable to the adapter, nothing happens.
Searching on the web, i found that with Teclast T10, that is and older version of my tablet (that was without 3G module), was possible to connect to ethernet via a similar adapter with same chipset as mine : UtechSmart USB 2.0 to 10/100 Ethernet Network Adapter (Model US-USB2-E100).
Take a look here (min 5:55) Video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bIKpsqEMvHs
My tablet Teclast T20 has cpu MT6797X (X27) and runs on Android Nougat 7.1 and has connectivity WiFi + LTE
The Teclast T10, instead, has cpu MT8176 and runs on Android Nougat 7.0 and has only WiFi connectivity
So perhaps the kernel is different and the drivers pre-built in the kernel are different. How can i check if an USB to Ethernet driver is already built in the kernel of my tablet? And, if it is not available, how can i add the driver to my tablet? I know that i should have the sources of my kernel, but i think it will be difficult to get them from Teclast. Any suggestion?
Thank you!

RN9Pro Kernel question (nethunter)

I have redmi note 9 pro with global rom V12.0.2.0.QJZMIXM. I tried kali nethunter on it with AkameKernel that was made for nethunter and all worked, but when I tried to use my wifi adapter it worked but then it just disappear from devices list. Now it doesn't even see the adapter. It was connected with a otg from aliexpress usb 2.0. The problem can't be in the adapter cuz it works fine with kali linux on pc.
Can someone help and say what is the problem? maybe in the cheap otg?
Did you check by flushing WiFi framework through magisk?

Android kernel OTG host drivers - what devices are supported?

I'm currently trying to determine what devices are supported natively in the Android kernel for USB OTG.
For instance, on most newer Linux distros, Mediatek USB VCOM drivers are supported out of the box, whereas on PC they are not. I was hoping since Android is based on a Linux kernel, I could count on these Mediatek drivers being included in the Android kernel as well.
However, I can't find any documentation on supported device drivers for Android USB OTG.
Any info or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
