I own a Chinese AL00 Honor 9,B201 is so poor,so I am intending to downgrade to B136,or B155.However in FF the lowest version I can find for my phone is B190:crying:
I verified the B136 for AL10 with IMEI,miraculously it passed, saying the firmware I will install is AL00C00B136.But when I finish the DNS changing I found I still only can get AL10C00B136.
Any idea on this issue is appreciated

Thanks so much! One question, will my bl be unlocked and lose my warranty?
Sent from my Huawei Honor 9 using XDA Labs
I handed over to the service in Poland with unlkock bootloader and there was no problem.
It depends on the service.
Normally your warranty is woid now.
How about download via FF and flash in the 3-button-mode?

Hi! what is the difference between B201 and B136 or B155?
BTW, I had AL00C00B201 flashed to L09C432B130, but it is very poor compared to AL00C00B201.
Now I want to go back to AL00C00B201 but I dont know how to do it...

Perhaps you need the HWOTA Rebrand method to AL00,I guess.Maybe you can use the B123 Service Repair Firmware but I AM NOT SURE
For the differences, they say that B201 underclock the CPU for better battery usage(ironically I didn't feel any improvement),but B123 and B136 aren't.I don't know about B155.So if you are a heavy gamer B201 may be a nightmare What's more B201 is in conflict with several Apps so they will evaporate into thin air after reboot...
Do notice that package for AL00 and AL10 are exactly the same. And the model number will be unchanged even flashing the AL10 firmware.I tested myself downgrading. And don't forget to wipe data.

If my mind is working properly,When it comes to select OEMinfo you can select to Rebrand to C00.All left to do should be replacing the EU Firmware with CN ones(can be downloaded on FF).I didn't try it so can't promise it's working

I'm trying to do that for 5 hours now but it doesnt work
I tried to rebrand to AL00C00 first but after reboot, it is still L09C432

the oeminfo file is copied onto the sdcard, but after that it says:

there was two missing lines in the script, i managed to fix it.
but i can find the rights files for b201 (update, update_all_hw, update_data_public).

The B201 files is on FF with number"88860"or"88861".It is under model STFAL10C00.There are 3 files to be renamed after downloading. Then the firmware change should work technically.

I know this is about capacitive button fix but it should be exactly what you want.It contained the service Repair Firmware and a oeminfo_tool batch file which seems able to write oeminfo to CN and flash stock rec.It is also easier to use the 3-button-combo.

It is not that important due to the fact that AL00 and AL10 can use the same firmwares.I tried this method before and the model number did change to AL10 but nothing gets wrong. That time I didn't fully complete the guide.Seeing inside the package are separate folders of AL00 and AL10 I guess If the installation is done properly the model might not get wrong
Good luck!

Hi,
I am using Honor 5C NEM-L22 model.
Currently I am on firmware B310 (update via Firmware Finder & Proxy - OTA).
I see some other updates listed on google like B351 and B355 but when i search in Firmware Finder, it displays the results till B310 only.
Any idea on how to get these updates as OTA?
Thanks in advance,

L51 to L22 firmware on a 5C Honor
Hi, 1st time poster,
I have a Honor 5C - Nem-L51 , which I bought in England.
I want to change it to an English Language Nem-L22, and I used Firmware finder , and added a L22, and it is now downloading.
It mentions Indian languages, but will it be ok if I just change the Language to English after download or after install?
The reason I want to change to L22 version is compatibility with Australian Bands.
.frequencycheck.com/country-compatibility/jvg8y/australia/devices?utf8=%E2%9C%93&q%5Bfull_name_cont%5D=honor+5c&q%5Bdevice_brand_id_eq%5D=&commit=Search
Would I be better off with NEM-L22C675 (thats the one I am downloading) , or NEM-L22636 (Asian version)
When I added , i just added the L22C675 as it showed as compatible with my phone.
I downloaded two files, last one is the "updater" Do I need that ? (or just the main one , which is 1.93 gig
The build number of the phone is NEM-L51C432B355.
I am downloading it o the phone. If advice is to use 636 version instead, then I can delete download and start again.
Thanks for any advice !

This will need rebranding to a different variant which is possible but with you nees to pay the utmost care on this as doing this may not only brick but also(if your phone work) can change your phone details, build number, mess with few apps etc.
If need i can do this but won't get time for this soon so you may need to wait. I have done it on my 6X so can do similar way with 5C but i would advise not to do this as you seems to be rally new to this forum and directly taking risk without knowing the consequences
Thanks so far guys

Hi, Yes , brand new to Forum, and thanks for both the above replies.
I love the honor 5c, but the bands on NEM - L51 are not that suitable for either the Uk or Australia. I tried to buy a NEM- L22 while in the UK, but they did not have any for sale , and I was leaving the UK the next day.
If someone could do it, then I would be happy. Firmware finder said NEM-L22 was compatible with my phone, which makes me think it is just a a firmware change, but I know I could brick the phone.
I guess I will think about it bit more. I am keen to try , but I will wait till I know a bit more, glad you managed to do it with your 6x ! Well done!!

There is debranding guide in my signature. Process will remain same and if you follow step by step it will work 100%.
I need to install Android 6, but I can't seem to find a firmware upgrade that matches my version exactly.
What version is safe to use? I'm completely new to the android world, so I'm completely lost…
The closest I've found is a file named "Honor 5X_Firmware_KIW-L21_Android 6.0.1_EMUI 4.0_C432B330CUSTC432D001_Denmark.zip" but according to the PDF included in it I should only be used with versions:
KIW-L21C432B130CUSTC432D005
KIW-L21C432B130CUSTC432D006
KIW-L21C432B140
KIW-L21C432B300CUSTC432D002
Mine is kiw-l21c432b160.
Is it safe to use this one? Do you have any idea where I might find a suitable .zip if not?
Thanks for the help

Yes, now I'm starting to understand all these version numbers. My end goal is to install LineageOS, but I need MM first.
So now, I've switched back to Huawei eRecovery instead of TWRP, and tried two different firmwares (before B360 because apparently it prevents installing LineageOS), that were "validated with my IMEI". Settings>Update>Local>Reboot, installation starts I'm about to cry tears of joy and then around 15%, installation fails with no further details. I can then shutdown and reboot to my good ol' lollipop. Not sure what to do next...

I still have the same lollipop firmware my device was bought with. I don't think I have US variant. I brought it from (Amazon France)[https://www.amazon.fr/Honor-5X-Smar...d=1508409802&sr=8-2&keywords=huawei+honor+5x] and I am in France. The product title says it is unlocked but I had to do it myself.
I'll try your link as soon as I receive my SD card, because apparently it is required for this method. I still have this file from an older download, but was scared because a PDF file included in it mentioned it should be used with B140 and did not mention B160, but now that I've flashed a stock recovery meant for B140, this doesn't scare me anymore.

I will upgrade doesn't matter you are on 140 or 160...
Good luck.:good:
so...my p10 L29 was messed up after updating to oreo. i upgrade without rebranding, after that, my version shows bla bla bla(dont remember). after searching a lot on website (almost all of them), figure out that B217 firmware is the selution.
actually B217 firmware from ff finder has just 2 files, not 3. so using HWOT8 and change the update binary(with notepad++) you need go to META-INF>com>google>android>update-binary, open update-binary with notepad and delete the line with "echo - - update_package...... update_data public. zip.
after that copy the files to hwota8 > update file and make same process like you do to update.

so...my p10 L29 was messed up after updating to oreo. i upgrade without rebranding, after that, my version shows bla bla bla(dont remember). after searching a lot on website (almost all of them), figure out that B217 firmware is the selution.
actually B217 firmware from ff finder has just 2 files, not 3. so using HWOT8 and change the update binary(with notepad++) you need go to META-INF>com>google>android>update-binary, open update-binary with notepad and delete the line with "echo - - update_package...... update_data public. zip.
after that copy the files to hwota8 > update file and make same process like you do to update.

I tried that method yesterday, but I cant get to recovery mode, it will go directly to erecovery. Should I use adb to reboot to recovery?
use this command:
fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk twrp_android_o_mate9_a1.img
and then, fastboot reboot recovery
I shared the "update-binary" file, I did not edit it with notepad ++

FF's database was down, it's back up now.
My firmware is the bla-L29 8.0.0.126 and I'm still with the March security patch.
To update, pay the Funkhuawei or wait for the update to arrive?

Was the firmware approved for download? In my bla-L29 8.0.0.126 says that the firmware are not approved for download, although it manages to download using FF itself.

Internal storage, but you'd need to update TWRP to this one which has decryption support: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-10/development/huawei-mate-10-pro-twrp-3-2-1-0-t3769904

I'm using this one. Was the first one with an BLA-L09 device. If I place it on the internal storage, won't it be deleted, because I've to wipe all partitions? Sry for so much questions, I only won't brick my phone. Now a lot about this stuff, but each phone is unique and has its own special things to look for.

You don't need to Wipe anything. Internal sd is mounted in /data which is not wiped.
Well, it's either that or use HWOTA to update.
Or wait for firmware to be approved

It's approved for my device. But it should be blocked on the device or I'm wrong. On my last devices, I wasn't able to update the original firmware from the system itself, because TWRP and Magisk were installed.

Yeah, you'd have to restore stock Recovery, and OTA might install (it checksums partitions and if they don't match the update fails)
You could still use Firmware finder to install FullOTA.

I realize that there are some issues about global realme XT, I came to a lot of problems like others. Let me summarize some points:
1. Global version : (Ru/Eu/TW/......)
*come with NFC
the main difference between global and India version
(you can't tell between EX and EUEX) , so NFC is the key.
*cannot unlock bootloader (from os6 to os7)
If you do unlock bootloader, try to show us how.
*cannot root (unless BL unlocked)
*do not update to India Rom, if you do try this post
https://forum.xda-developers.com/realme-xt/help/realme-ui-bugs-eu-device-t4076145
*the lastest update is Android 10 ui c.01 (update a.05 to a.06 first before to c.01)
https://realmeupdater.com/downloads/latest/RMX1921EUEX/
https://download.c.realme.com/osupdate/RMX1921EUEX_11_OTA_1010_all_lZytoJtMnV4X.ozip
which is newer than India c.03 rom, I think that's why we still can update via recovery mode.
*Realme Official ROMs Archive for Realme XT
https://realmeupdater.com/downloads/archive/RMX1921EUEX/
anyone with other issues please add on. Thanks!
-- unlock bootloader is possible now, however I don't have xt anymore --

No. I think you're at A.05. Then update to A.06.
After that you can update to Android 10.

Boot into recovery mode and choose update from sd card. Or just move the file to the phone memory and use phone's file explorer to open it, then the phone shall be able to update.
But wait. Some say A.05 can unlock bootloader. If you need it, test it. Maybe you have luck.

I'm not into all that anymore I spent more time on my lgv20 phone then with anything else. I do like the opinion of rooting at some point if this will root. I had a Lgv20 since 2016 loved that phone. But I'm enjoying this one a lot. I just want to be updated to the latest versions. And security patches. Thanks again for your help.
